Angel - your verses at the end make it very clear that witchcraft (even casting spells for good?) is wrong and abhorred by God. In fact - He finds it abominable!

The influences of the music, lyrics, and lifestyles of some of these can certainly be used as an example of what one can expect from someone in this lifestyle!

Great Post, as always! You go girl!

I am completely confused here...the connection is obvious to those who choose to see..
There are many possible role models for our youth and adults to follow...somewhere OFF the list comes the occult/witch/mason group..
why is it so difficult to accept the truth..to argue the rule by exception is the fools method of debate...i can find "1" good anyone in any group, except of course..lefty, liberal, moozie, animal cruelty people etc. The idea that perhaps a murderer helped an old lady cross the street clouds the point of evil..so as the sun will rise tommorrow, fear not the truth it may set you free..
enjoy the Eagles....
Raven hair and ruby lips
Sparks fly from her finger tips
Echoed voices in the night
She’s a restless spirit on an endless flight
Wooo hooo witchy woman, see how
High she flies
Woo hoo witchy woman she got
The moon in her eye
She held me spellbound in the night
Dancing shadows and firelight
Crazy laughter in another
Room and she drove herself to madness
With a silver spoon
Woo hoo witchy woman see how high she flies
Woo hoo witchy woman she got the moon in her eye
Well I know you want a lover,
Let me tell your brother, she’s been sleeping
In the devil’s bed.
And there’s some rumors going round
Someone’s underground
She can rock you in the nighttime
’til your skin turns red
Woo hoo witchy woman
See how high she flies
Woo hoo witchy woman
She got the moon in her eye

Hey, Angel gal, great post as always!

From what I've read, true Wiccans are not casting spells to do harm but casting spells to do good. However, we both know that doing good alone is not enough to get into the kingdom of heaven. Besides which, I don't believe casting spells works and I'll never believe it. They're deludiing themselves.

My hubby's grandmother came from Czechloslovakia and believed in spells and witches. She actually accused me of being a witch. Said I had "cast a spell" on Walt. ROTF! I did, but not the way she meant it! She was also dead serious. Once, when she came to visit us I owned a black cat. Not a white mark anywhere on his jet black body. That didn't help. *sigh*

God bless!

I can't honestly say that I have done a serious study of Wicca. I do know that they (Wiccans) believe in the Earth mother (the goddess) and in nature spirits. I also know that many "witches" and "wizards" claim to be Wiccans. A lot of "hippies" also seem to be attracted to the idea of being able to use magic. I doubt that that makes them Wiccans though.

I also understand that Wicca is not just a new "fad" religion like some religions. The "history" of the religion that I have been able to find is not quite as spotty as the history of modern-day druidism. It does seem to go back quite a way further than the 1960s, unlike modern day "PC" religions and festivals such as Kwanzaa.

My points weren't really about Wicca as a religion though, but rather that the P.C. notion of bending over backwards to avoid giving offense is offensive in itself, and that just because some individual people are flawed does not necessarily mean that all people that share similar belief systems should be tarred with the same brush.
