There was a brewery here in Las Vegas called the Holy Cow. But it closed down, lucky for me they put the brewery in my favorite restaurant, The Draft House.

I think you just explained my point for me. Who put Olmert and the rest of the politicians in place?

How do you suppose our civilian population would respond if Mr. Bush and Co. allowed the Canadians to continue to lob rockets into our neighborhoods and kill our innocent men, women and children?

The idea that there should be a supply of food and other necessities is all well and good … but who is paying for that? Where is the money coming from?

Why concrete? Yo allow the paleos to reinforce and harden buildings and tunnels against attack.

It’s allways the same BS with the Arabs … when they’ve got themselves in a bind they want peace…. after they’ve refreshed themselves … it’s back to the usual. Although it seems more often that they can’t even restrain themselves during a “ceasefire” anymore……

I think that Israel should say ENOUGH ….. we tried …. you lied … no more will be tolerated.

Run the freaks out of Gaza and the West Bank and tell the rest of the whiners across the world to stuff it.

I find it astounding that the people of Israel have apparently become so accepting of being relentlessly assaulted and brutalized. Israel is now being effectively disassembled from within. What other reason could be pointed to for these continued, hopeless “gifts” of submission?

I don’t think it’s so much the Israeli population as it is the Olmert government.

Olmert is a bloody crook, he messed up the Lebanon war, he hasn’t fulfilled Sharon’s disengagement plan in the least (the plan was to withdraw but pound it if they attacked from there, that way they would not be able to cry “occupation”, which btw: they are still doing…). Lastly, Olmert is facing a legal suit for bribery.

With this much scandal around him he does not have the credibility or momentum to call a signifigant prolonged action against Hamas.

The issue here is that OLMERT DOES NOT A GOVERNMENT MAKE! Barak and others should have left the coalition and disbanded the government ages ago, esp. after the Winograd Commission findings (however muted they were). It seems like POLITICIANS IN ISRAEL ARE PUTTING CAREER AHEAD OF NATION — the ULTIMATE SIN. Barak & others fear that if they brings down the government, that Bibbi Netanyahu will take power, likely lessing his party’s role.

It is a DISGUSTING STATE OF AFFAIRS and it is beginning to severly affect Israeli morale. With corruption issues becoming near daily headlines Israelis are losing that nationalistic pride that has kept the nation strong for 60 years.

Recent reports state that conscription rates are the lowest they have been in history (I believe the figure was somewhere between 20 and 40% who end up serving the full 3 years).

The politicians need to STOP BEING POLITICIANS and REMEMBER WHAT NEIGHBOURHOOD THEY ARE LIVING IN!

Every nation goes through these types of lulls, this mass-desparity - however, I cannot think of a worse time for Israel to be experiencing this growing pain. If it continues, this growing pain may be its demise.
