PopE concedes

“5 churches attacked in Palestinian areas following Pope’s comments on Is-lam — Palestinians wielding guns and firebombs attacked five churches in the West Bank and Gaza on Saturday, following remarks by Pope Benedict that angered many Mus–lims.

5 churches attacked in Palestinian areas following Pope’s comments on Is–lam continues..

In his speech, Benedict cited an obscure Medieval text that characterizes some of the teachings of Is–lam’s founder as “evil and inhuman.”

Evil and inhuman beings firebomb churches don’t they..hey if the shoe fits eh?

With all due respect…….If the Pope truly is the Lord’s voice on this earth, why is it that all it takes is a threat or two from some “nameless” thugs and he to is ready to capitulate?

Does anyone NOT see the irony that yet again the Muzlims threaten and act out violence to counter the accusation that their very religion promotes violence?

And do you not observe the aura of infallability or untouchableness surrounding the thugs who threaten.. banking on our decency and sense of virtue?

Pope Benedict XVI has seen first hand what fascism is…and here he is seeming to bow his head in dhimm-itude as well. zappedani.gif

Just observe our very own attitudes here in the States.
Suicidal terrorism as a political and religious instrument was initiated by Yas-ser Ara-fat (with the sanctions of his good buddy Clinton) and we have a wax figure of him prominently displayed at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in New York City! arafat-un.jpg

In “The World according to Angel”…………
Here is what the Pope should have said:
To those who feel the need to take offense at the drop of a comment so that they can justify their murderous reactions:

I hereby apologize……for NOT apologizing.

IT BOGGLES THE MIND TO THINK THAT INTIMIDATION FROM A HAND FULL OF CAMEL HUGGING, TOWEL WEARING ISLAMOFASICTS WOULD CAUSE THE POPE TO RETRACT A STATEMENT HE SAID AS TRUTH..WHAT IS NEXT!!!!

The Pope has his chance to stand firm for something, but he is caving. I’m not Catholic, but the Pope is the one who is representing all Christians in this situation, he needs to be firm. Some Muslims have called for his immediate death and the immediate death of anyone who speaks out against Mohammed. Now that’s really peaceful.

No I’m not getting trackbacks, but it’s not your faul. TypePad has been having problems and has temporarily turned off incoming trackbacks. That sucks. I may switch to something else, but I HATE change.

Muslims Turn to Violence Over Pope’s Speech…

I thought I would sum up the whole Pope tadoo for you. The Pope said that any religion who uses violence to spread its message was no religion at all and violence was incompatible with the nature of God.
Muslims around the world are now calling for, an…

WAS WAITING FOR ANGEL TO COMMENT ON THE LASTEST MUSLIM CAPITULATION….
Readership, It is the time for a multiple choice QUIZ.
QUESTION: Over the last 100 years, comments have been said regarding the Jewish nation by the imminent Pope and several of the statements were negative and hurtful. Never ever was an apology given! Now 4 days after the Muslim comment by the Pope, and after burning down churches in the Middle East, the killing of a nun and revengeful riots by the violent-prone Muslim nation an apology has been made. WHY?
    a) It is a NO NO to anger the Muslim world.
    b) When Muslim populace are insulted, they react with violence and fire,
and the pope wants to protect the churchs under his auspices.
    c) Jewish blood is cheap
d)There is not enough Muslim virgins available and hormones are raging,
we need to protect our young lasses.
    The correct answer is::

I don’t think Pope Benedict apologized for what he said; my take is that expressed sorrow over the Mooslim response to what he said. In effect, the Mooslims indeed proved the Pope’s reading from the 14th Century manuscript as exactly correct. Now I wonder how long it will be before honest politicians begin to admit that the Mooslims are right about one thing: Most Mooslims are engaged in a holy war . . . no, not the three or four moderates, but everyone else.

Let’s give credit where it is due. Those who forcefully advocate the religion of peace have so far murdered a priest and a nun, and burned Christian churches. So I guess the Pope was right after all. He need not apologize for that.

This is really disappointing. Appeasement to these violent oppressive factions and religions is the last thing I would have expected.

well to be fair Angel, i have not seen him concede or retreat…

    just MSM reporting as such…

i do appreciate his efforts, speaking the truth prior…

many in the media, manipulated the expression of this Man, in the beginning anyhow…

    here’s the text…
Text of Pope Benedict XVI’s Remarks

“At this time, I wish also to add that I am deeply sorry for the reactions in some countries to a few passages of my address at the University of Regensburg, which were considered offensive to the sensibility of Muslims.

These in fact were a quotation from a Medieval text, which do not in any way express my personal thought.”

    Oh, The Outrage!…

So the Pope apologized once again, saying that the words spoken in the 15th Century that he quoted in his speech was not how HE felt:

  11. BlogForFreedom says:

The Pope should not apologize for telling it like it is. The violent reaction of the Muslim world has spoken volumes about the ‘religion’, and has proven the Pope’s quote to be true. Killing a nun…? Come on, is that what Allah would really want?

  12. Angel says:

Thanks y’all for the clarifications and comments…thank u cvMay! ;)
I do hear an apology between the lines however…….. :(

I carefully read what the Vatican said, I agree with Mustang.

Is the pope capitulating? I can’t find a link to where he apologizes. I did find a link to him using some pretty foul language about islam (NSFW).

  16. Middle Class Guy says:

The Pope demonstrated dignity, honor, and integrity. He, in effect, was apoligizing for the effects of his comments. One cannot apologize for histroy.

  17. cube says:

The Pope said he was disturbed that his comments had offended the moslems. I don’t think he apologized for quoting a TRUTHFUL statement that the islamofascists have themselves proved by their violent outbursts & barbaric actions.

  18. Kevin says:

Oh, so he was disturbed that the truth made muslims angry? That seems like a fair statement. I am too.
