FaiR FighT for TerroristS?..HuH

Even with a nuclear Iran looming on the horizon and the prospect that its nuclear weapons will end up in the hands of international terrorists that it has been sponsoring for years, many in the media and in the government that is supposed to protect us have been preoccupied with whether we are being nice enough to the terrorists in our custody.
Suicidal hand-wringing continues…
The issue has been brought to a head by the efforts of Senators John McCain, John Warner, and Lindsey Graham to get us to apply the rules of the Geneva convention to cutthroats who respect no Geneva convention and are not covered by the Geneva convention.
…the issue of applying the Geneva convention to people who were never covered by the Geneva convention originated in the Supreme Court of the United States.
Article III, Section II of the Constitution gives Congress the power to limit the jurisdiction of federal courts, and Congress has specifically taken away the jurisdiction of the courts in cases involving the detention of illegal combatants, such as terrorists, who are not — repeat, not — prisoners of war covered by the Geneva convention.
Yea. O.K.
Who cares about the “fair fight” anyway eh?
F.Y.I.:
Even the Gladiators in the Roman arena tried to fight “fair”.
Fighters stuck to strict rules of combat.
There is even evidence to indicate that real gladiatorial bouts were not exactly the gory free-for-alls we think of.
If we observe Roman artwork, we note that gladiators were well matched and followed a set of rules, which were actually enforced by two referees. ![]()
Imagine that.
May I add that war and terrorism are not remotely the same kinds of armed conflict.
Our Liberal ahem..”friends” seem to forget the distinction.
Let’s be real shall we. War is about killing.
In War, enemy combatants are targeted.
Terrorists, on the other hand, target civilian populations. That’s right..Your husband, wife, son and daughter.
As if that wasn’t enough, sane minded people bring into question the methods, (er…beheading?), the reasons for fighting,(claiming land that isn’t yours…i.e. “Israel”) or even the legitimacy of the organizations (U.N.?)..Need I say more?
Terrorists corrupt and poison their own children.
Civilized children, throughout the Western world are taught the “rules of fighting.”
“Hey, pick on someone your own size.”
Never, ever shoot someone in the back.
Try to avoid conflict if you can.
A-rab children have suicide belts strapped on them. No distinction there either Libs? ![]()
Terrorism is not about the fair fight.
It’s about throwing away all the moral rule books and fighting as dirty as you can get away with………with no regard to morality, human decency or consequences.
If the poor excuse for a Senator, John McCain, John Warner, or Lindsey Graham are so empathetic to “terrorists’” humane treatment, what say…they relocate to an A-rab land and see what “humanity” really is through the eyes of the one without the rule book.

The Geneva Convention isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on when both sides aren’t following those rules…
Time to re-write the rule book.

I think future historians will accurately describe McCain and co. as sappers — the modern equivalent of medieval warrirors who would dig tunnels beneath castles in order to penetrate their defenses.

No way Angel. The fight is too unbalanced for the liberals. If we want to get them on board (McCain included) for this fight we’ll have to even things up by giving jihadis about 1,000 a-bombs, a couple of submarines, and some stealth fighters.
It’s the sensible thing to do.

This doesn’t even have to touch the Geneva convention. These terrorists aren’t soldiers in a national army. If they were, they’d have uniforms. So my premise is this: if you want Geneva convention rules, you must be a real soldier. Next!
