Liquid Ban Relaxed On Planes tells us…
The government is relaxing its ban against carrying liquids and gels onto airliners, instituted after a plot to bomb jets flying into the United States was foiled, an administration official said Monday.
A Homeland Security Department official, speaking on condition of anonymity because the announcement had not yet been made, said that most liquids and gels that air travelers purchase in secure areas of airports will now be allowed on planes.
That means that after passengers go through airport security checkpoints, they can purchase liquids at airport stores and take them onto their planes, said the official.
Terrorist attacks from airplanes seem to be the threat that looms largest in Americans’ minds, does it not?
Perhaps if the TSA’s program for matching airplane passengers with the terrorist watch list, wasn’t comprimsed of poorly defined goals, and incoherent design criteria, it may actually serve a purpose.
The TSA has already spent close to 100 mil. on beefed bomb-detection technology. Do you feel any safer?
But as we all know they are hesitant to “offend” those on the selectee list containing those people whose boarding passes are marked and those who should undergo intensive extra screening of their person and carry-ons.
Change after change was requested of Homeland security to fund a bill which would allow the controversial Secure Flight program to use background checks and profiling to help determine if an airline passenger is a terrorist despite not being on a terror watch list.
Is someone missing the BIG picture here?

Ooooh. Terrorists use cell phones…. so the government will either find ways to shut down the cell-phone network, or ban them all. 
And yet, We still refuse to profile Muzlims who ARE the known terrorists.
In addition, we are still inept at intelligence and investigation.
We refuse to even identify the terrorists themselves. 
We refuse to cut off their funding, or to even investigate organizations such as C-A-I-R who defend terrorists time and again.
Instead we listen to the Democraps and Libs drone endlessly on about the geopolitical consequences of our foreign policy and how it is what breeds terrorism.
And why not….after all it makes for great political grandstanding.
So, now we will purchase our “liquids” in the airport.

The thing that really upsets me with regard to the Secure FLight program is that this was VOLUNTARY!! No one was to be forced to undergo background checks yet the program was scrapped because privacy experts were worried about an invasion of privacy.
You know, I am sick and tired of being “protected” by these privacy kooks. The only person that my privacy is protected from is ME. I am restricted against getting:
1. The full cost of my prescription drugs
2. My child’s medical records to pass through to his doctor
3. A note from said doctor to allow my child’s school to administer the appropriate medicine as prescribed.
4. Access to my stepson’s grades (even though I am listed as a parent of record)
Yet anybody can enter my name into one of those background check programs on the internet and pay the $19.95 and find out everything I don’t want known about me.
Sorry about the rant Angel, I just get really riled when I think about all of the things that we can be doing that make sense yet are blocked because of nit-picking, do-nothing pansies that get in the way of just about anything remotely related to progress.

You have brought about some great points; this PC BS is giving me a headache more and more. It is not the fault of those who wish to better society by actually putting forth the time and effort to capture these scumbags.
