US rock act Slayer’s latest album has been withdrawn from sale in India after religious groups complained about its cover depicting a mutilated Christ.
‘Offensive’ album pulled in India
It was claimed that songs on the album, including Skeleton Christ and Jih–ad, offend both Mus–lims and Christians…
The album cover depicts Christ with partially amputated limbs and a missing eye, set in a landscape littered with amputated heads.
So, my friends…the question of the day:
Do you think if the album didn’t offend Muzlims “as well”..that it would have been yanked off the shelves?
Hmm. Points to ponder eh?

A US rock group’s album is pulled in India, but not in the US? Sounds like India may have more morals than the land of the self-righteous - what an indictment on the US. My guess would be that India doesn’t believe in unabased freedom of speech. 2 points for India, -2 points for ‘Slayers’… may they go the way of the Dixie whatever-they-were-called.

Slayer has never impressed me, and I’m a huge metal fan. That they resort to this to sell albums shows just how irrelevant they have become in music, I think. Isn’t the Satanic kitsch getting a little old, guys? In any case, this shows just how much pull Allah’s perverts and murderous thugs for peace have over India. I doubt that anyone there cared about how many Christians were offended.

I’ll bet that the decision was 99% based on Muslim outrage.

Well, Islam does not believe in freedom of anything, so it is no surprise. In this country we just don’t buy this junk for our kids if we are worth a damn.
My question is would we pull an album offensive to Muslims in THIS country? Hmm?
