Peace OpenTrackback Weekend
The president’s most vocal critic against the war in Iraq was in the Capitol City Wednesday night.
Cindy Sheehan was ..signing autographs for her new book ..Sheehan claims she’s Nobel Peace Prize finalist
….Sheehan also announced at the signing that she’s a finalist for a Nobel Peace Prize.
Yea. O.K.
The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded annually to what some consider “noteworthy persons.”
They are “theoretically” peacemakers or sometimes creative thinkers or futurists who guide through “moral leadership.”
But interestingly enough some warmongers and terrorists were awarded this ahem…”prize.”

Oh, yea…he’s the one who in 1973, along with Syria, led Egypt into the Yom Kippur War against Israel, then demanded she give back the land she won. 
Incidentally, Israel withdrew from the Sinai peninsula and actually returned the entire area to Egypt on April 25th 1982. Ever hear of countries doing that ? He was assassinated by army members from the Egyptian Izzlamic Jih–ad organization, because of his …ahem…”negotiations” with Israel.

Oh yea………the man who is responsible for introducing modern terrorism to the world.
The man (and I use that term loosely) who sent his goons to slaughter athletes at the Olympics.

The man responsible for spreading the most violent form of Jew-hatred since the Nazis. Yeah… him.

Another great contribution from the Nobel prize winner: warfare against children.
In May of 1974, three P-L-O terrorist thugs snuck from Lebanon into a northern Israeli town called Ma’alot.
They murdered in cold blood two parents and a child.
They proceeded to seize a local school, and took more than 100 boys and girls hostage. They then threatened to murder all of them all unless some fellow thug terrorists were released from prison.
When Israeli troops attempted to rescue the children, the P-L-O monsters exploded hand grenades and opened fire on the students.
At days end, 25 people died. 21 of them were children.
Peace prize. Yea.
Let Cindy join ranks with Ar-afat…she belongs there.

The only way mother sheehan would win the Nobel Peace prize is if the committee wanted to poke a stick in President Bush’s eye, which they do. She too inconsequential to win it on her merits.
IMO the only prize mother sheehan deserves is the biggest dingbat award.

Great post, Angel. Cindy will probably win it, too! The Nobel Peace price lost all credibility a long time ago, as you so accurately point out.
Cindy will keep going as long as the MSM keeps focussing on her, and the MSM will keep focussing on her as long as she keeps going. Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
In the meantime we have a war to fight. I wish she’d just go over to the other side and start wearing a Burka. She would definitely look better in one!

Poor Cindy. She let the media go to her head and now she believes her own lies.
It would have been nice if she had used just a little of her son’s death benefit to buy a funeral stone for her son but I guess she needed every penny for her new house.

You know Angel, I was a finalist, too. Didn;t I see your name on the list as well??
The fact is that any idiot can claim that they are a finalist. I believe that the Nobel committee does not reveal ANY of its nominees for any of the prizes. The only people who are revealed are actual recipients. (Correct me if anyone has any knowledge otherwise). So she can claim she was a finalist all she wants and there is no legitimate way to verify or refute the claim. Typical of her style and that of her so-called abusers er, friends.
The thing with those other scum bags that have been awarded in the past is that at least there is something that the committee can point to that the recipient did that past year that at least looks like it supports peace. I object to the fact that they discount past actions such as in the case with Arafat. He was a terrorist before he was awarded the prize and he was a terrorist after but for a week or so he shook the Isreali PM’s hand in the Rose Garden so they awarded him. BS but at least there is something there. Sheehan has done absolultly nothing to earn a peace prize. You don’t promote peace by whining, complaining and offering no solutions. She is a total fraud.
