Thank You

Sweet Friends.

Aristotle once said:
The antidote for fifty enemies is one friend.

So many times I feel as though my inner fire has gone out.
Too much hate.
Heaps of corruption.
And hordes of insanity around me.

Then y’all come around and leave a comment, a few words, thoughts, sentiments, or just a “hi”.

And suddenly I feel my Inner spirit rekindling.firesmallani

And so… I need to Thank You.

Y’all are fearless. I read every one of your words. You speak harsh truths rather than loving lies..and for that you earn my unremitting respect.

It was also once said:

A good friend is cheaper than therapy.
So think of all the dough y’all have saved me. Heh.moneyblingani

But truly……….

Please give a listen….

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;

When troubles come and my heart burdened be;

Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,

Until you come and sit awhile with me.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;

You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;

I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;

You raise me up… To more than I can be.

You, my sweet friends, are the key to my (alleged) “sanity” in an insane world.crazysmile

Thank You.
Thank you.

And while your’e at it………….Heh.cheek_kisses

You and I always seem to be on the same page. I like that. You are right about this crazy world. One good friend can make a world of difference, and you do too.

Have a terrific day. Big hug my friend. :)

  4. The Malcontent says:

I wish that I could be more positive but I have to ask, with our “Vice President” watching Baseball games in Florida, with our Nobel Peace Prize Winner-in Chief in Brazil and With our American Troop’s lives in harms way, who the hell is running the country?

    Thank You

  5. Howard Larson says:

What!? Obama’s out of the country? Quick! Change the locks!

  9. amanofwonder says:

Well thanks fur askin’. I’ll leave a comment just cuz yah asked.

We’z all aliens inna a world that don’t make so much sense when we git up in da morning. I got’s me lottsa movies to prove the fact there is life out there. We just gotta watch em ova dinner cuz the Outer Limits uv what we’z going thru is what’s it is all about.

Close Encounters Of The Third Kind. Don’t we all long to be close to something?

Star Man. Wut every sane man want’s to be.

E.T. Okay I ain’t so good lookin’ but can you work wit me?

Jeremiah Johnson (wait a minute he created his own universe and he figgered out how to live in it, so neva mind dat movie.) But dang he sure was one heck of a prophet according to the original script.

2001: A Space Odessey. Do you like talkin’ to a computer?

Moon. Sure gits lonely out there if we are clones for wut others want us to be.

K-Pax. We R all unique cuz we gotta go thru the cards that haz been dealt to us.

And my all time favorite wud be,

    Robinson Crusoe on Mars.

We all git lonely in the worlds we create for ourselves. So I will break your Cardinal Rule twice, cuz sometimes leaving links to anothers well being means we will find a saucer to take us outta the madness that besets us when we wake up in da mornin.

Yep I am a little bit spacey, but G-d created men first just so we cud complicate wimmins lives, irony iz a many splendored thang.

    Thanks back on you.

  10. DragonLady says:

Thank you Angel and G-d bless you! :-)

  11. dons_mind says:

  12. Karen Howes says:

Angel, it’s a blessing to have a nice web of friends, isn’t it? So many times, I’ve been having a bad day, or feel despondent, and then I see an internet buddy leave a funny, clever, or thoughtful comment. It truly does make you smile and give you the fortitude and cheer to keep on goin’.

Thank you too, for being such a bright spot of sunshine at my blog too. :-)

  13. Debbie says:

What a great post from a wonderful friend. I can always count on you for a funny and a smile, for the truth even if it hurts, and honesty. Thanks friend.

  14. roger says:

Thanks Angel. Love your blog, love your humour, love your spirit. You’re not alone…we’re in this together as one.

  15. Lista says:

  16. Dee says:

    thank u! :)

  17. Bunkerville says:

Thanks for all of your up lifting posts and especially yummy pics. It has been so fine to find so many who share their thoughts and feelings in these troubled times, and to know one is not alone.

  18. William Stout says:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you Angel. For always telling the truth as you see it, for standing up for what is right, for recognizing our everyday heroes, and for your friendship. Giving a voice to common sense and for justice is never easy, but I cannot imagine a better calling. Have a great weekend my friend, and thank you for what you do!

  19. zionflag says:

Music that soothes the soul and allows you to dream of a better day, “You raise me up…..”. There will be a better day, where compassion, love, understanding and empathy are the norms when the underdogs will be admired, respected and looked up to.
Thanks for hitting the nail on the head and smashing it into the wooden skulls around.

  20. KingShamus says:

    Angel, you’re good people.

Thanks for continuing to kick ass.

  21. Lista says:

When I Dropped by Earlier, I just Read and Commented Quickly and Now I would like to Take more Time to Tell you more Precisely what I Liked in this Post.

I Liked the Quote from Aristotle, “The antidote for fifty enemies is one friend.” It Actually Only Takes One Really Good Friend, though, and that would be someone other than a Casual Acquaintance. We all Need to Find Such Friends and Ideally it is good to Find at Least some of them Off the Web, yet I also have a Couple of Really Neat Email Pen Pals that I Complain to Regularly about all my Web Frustrations.

I like your Blog. We all Need to Support Israel and I agree with Dons_mind about the Food Pics you Pop in Once-in-awhile.

Sometimes we Need to Talk to those we Consider Friends before we have the Strength to Deal with Those who Stress us.

  22. Bob Mack says:

If it wasn’t for the blogosphere, I’d be surrounded by liberals. But that’s only because there’s too many public unions in the Urb. So, thanks, Angel. And all the rest of y’all.

  23. Freedom, by the way says:

Sweet post–thank YOU. I think the super moon the other night is affecting everyone’s mood today. I’ve been on a few regularly read blogs that are usually fighting the good fight for right and bloggers are expressing lethargy. Maybe it’s Spring. Maybe we just all need to take a deep breath and enjoy what God’s blessings. And we all have them, no matter how bad things are.

  24. Woodsterman says:

Well my little Angel, I can’t think anyone more deserving of our friendship. And Thank You for being HERE!

  25. labcat says:

how sweet. thanks for all you do

  26. Christopher says:

Angel hun, no thanks are required. It is actually all who should thank you for bringing often not heard news to our attention and wonderful food!

    Thank you!

  27. Leticia says:

Angel, you are true blessing and I know we will probably never meet face to face here on earth, but we are sisters in Christ and we will see each other in heaven, yay!

So, THANK YOU! For being such a precious and wonderful friend. God bless you, kiddo.

  28. Always On Watch says:

    What a nice post!

You’re right, of course: comments do make blogging tolerable and even enjoyable.

  29. sig94 says:

Hey, we got your six. Blog on dear lady.

  30. DeanO says:

Angel – It’s good to be your friend. Your posts brighten my day and cheer my heart. We live in a time and a world where often we feel alone and perhaps that no one could possibly feel the same as you do…but you and your blog have proven to be a friend indeed.

Proverbs 27:9 Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart: so doth the sweetness of a man’s friend by hearty counsel.

  31. Kid says:

Woman, thanks for being out here. If it really starts feeling too heavy, try to look at things that give you the bigger picture. Like all of this has been done before and the vast majority of it has been going on since the beginning of time. None of us has the power to change much of it and we’re fortunate when we can.

To simply Not be silent is way more than most people do.

  32. silverfiddle says:

What a nice message. If I lived in New York I’d be even crabbier than I am now…

  33. Lista says:

I Guess this is my Third Comment. You Get Lots of Comments, Angel. You Obviously have Lots of Friends. I have a Tendency to Like Focusing on just a Few Friends that are more Special than the Rest, which Brings us Back Again to the Aristotle Quote, “The antidote for fifty enemies is one friend.”.

There is another Quote, though, that Caused me to Come Back again to this Post and that is “You speak harsh truths rather than loving lies..and for that, you earn my unremitting respect.”

I’m a Pretty Honest Person and Sometimes I Wonder if I am a little too much so. I Want to Thank You Again for your Words.

A Short Comment to Bob Mack. If it wasn’t for the Blogosphere, I’d be Surrounded by a lot of Boring Old Folks who Like to Discuss their Grand Kids and Medical Problems. It is Rare to Find an In Person Contact that you can Actually Discuss Politics with.

  34. The Malcontent says:

By the way, Angel, did you know Obama has the distinct privilege of being the first President to wage 3 wars at the same time. I’m sure that honor will make the Obama lovers very proud.
And perhaps nominate him for another Nobel Peace Prize. I think he deserves another one as much as he deserved the first one.
    And Thank You!

  35. PUMAbydesign001 says:

Beautiful post, food for the soul. I must visit you more often. You have uplifted my spirit on this cold Saturday morning Angel and for that I thank you.

  36. Paul Champagne says:

Thank YOU Angel. You are the proof that there is such a thing as an “online friend”

  37. Brooke says:

I know how you feel; a comment or two makes one’s day. After all, is a blog really a blog if no feedback occurs?

  38. KarL M says:

Good morning miss sunshine, you brighten up my day
Come sit beside me, in your way
I see you ev’ry morning, oN MY COMPUTER SCREEN
The music plays, so nonchalant, ahh

Lonely days, lonely nights, where would I be without my womanHONORTHYSELF……
Thanks Angel…and keep up the good work…

  39. Matt says:

Thank you for doing all that you do.

  40. Evy Rosebrook says:

Finding like minded people is such a blessing. Sometimes it feels like we are the lone wolf crying in the wilderness. One thing blogging has done is pull us together. We can be miles and continents apart, yet so close. I am so thankful I found your blog.
Thank you for being there and caring, for your private notes when life kicked me in the stomach, for your encouraging words, for just being you.
Love you from the opposite coast:)

  41. Krystal says:

  42. Angel says:

Guess I shall continue to carry on~! (HUGSSS)

  43. Nili says:

Greetings from Jerusalem! I love visiting your blog. In a world where we are seen as the “Little Satan” it is refreshing to find a friend. When I stand at the Kotel (Wailing Wall) I always thank Gd for the friends we have–and you are one of those I am thankful for. Never give up…
