Mayor Bloomberg: Nanny State Anyone?

No overbearing perfume…. And definitely no French fries for work lunches.

That’s the new edict for employees of the same city Health Department that brought you calorie-counting menus and snuffed out smoking on beaches and in parks.

No fried food: Health Dept. workers cringe at new rules restricting foods, fragrances, decorations.

Tap water is a menu must when food or drinks are served. Other beverages must be less than 25 calories per 8 ounces.

“Cut muffins and bagels into halves or quarters, or order mini sizes. Offer thinly-sliced, whole-grain bread,” the brochure states.

Deep-fried foods are an absolute no-no and “cannot be served.”

For celebrations, cake and air-popped popcorn – “popped at the party and served in brown paper lunch bags” – are allowed.

But when a “celebration cake” is served, cookies can’t be offered.

“These standards are mandatory for meetings and events sponsored by the Health Department,” the brochure states.

Ohhh yea. Say h’lo to the Health Police State y’all.
Personal choices and freedoms bein clipped at an alarming rate.
Is anyone takin notice?cow5

Oh wait.
It’s Muzlim terrorist supporter– Mayor Bloomturd ushering in the new party line.blah8

Tis all bout the Priorities dearies.

Aiding Terrorists: Check.
Making FOOD decisions: Check.
Plowing Snow in your City?: Nah.

Rememba this?

Mayor Bloomberg’s top deputies went to great lengths to help the developers of a planned mosque near Ground Zero – even drafting a letter to the community board for them.

Rememba this?

Bloomberg’s aides provided political support for Ground Zero mosque, released emails show

A flurry of emails released by City Hall yesterday revealed the coaching Hizzoner’s brass gave to the imam pushing to build the mosque, Feisal Abdul Rauf.

But snow removal this past Winter in NYC?

Lesse. What God does ole Bloomberg worship anyway?

Oh right. That would be: Money. money31

After all he’s gotta protect his investments in the Emirates and all other Arab locations right?

So a non religious, un affiliated, LIBERAL Mayor of the city, which was attacked by Muzlims on 9/11 has become the biggest useful idiot for the ideology which attacked us.

Bloomberg is nothing more than a Quisling.highwayani

So…there’s no time, money or energy to plow out NYC from one of the worst blizzards in our history………….but there’s plenty of time to plan our menus and decide jus how much “Chanel” we sprinkle on our necks eh. parfum-thumb

Manhattan’s East Village in the Winter of 2011.

Plannin’ and scheming ’bout every aspect of your personal life and freedoms…. But the dam*n Freedom Tower can’t be built yet……

I took some of all the really good food you put at the bottom of this post. That cop looks way bigger than the guy he pulled over too. Oh wait…Do as I say, not as I do.

Most mayor of big cities are Libtards. Truly amazing aren’t they. Yes they are.

Have a terrific day and keep up the great work. Big hug. :)

Do they hand out hall passes to go to the bathroom?

    I loved that sign! LOL!

Excellent post. On my way out this morning, I heard the news about the new Health Department offices along with the new rules and regulations where employees of the DOH would be relocated to on Monday. I could not believe it.

So the dictators police, nanny and denigrate their employees so harshly and without mercy, to the point that beat down, weak minded employees willing and without mercy police and nanny the public, if for no other reason than because it is happening to them.

Nice strategy but has it ever occurred to any of these puppets with liberties to REBEL?

I never thought I’d see the day that New Yorkers sell their cojones to the lowest bidder.

Great pics. Didn’t eat dinner tonight. Not cool to eat so late but I am rebelling.

  5. Freedom, by the way says:

I’m thinking we should pass the hat and collect funds to send the DOH a big KFC feast for when they move into their new building. (With biscuits & butter, too!).

All they need is one employee to fight back–I hate frivolous lawsuits, but this really isn’t frivolous in my opinion.

How you put up with that great mayor is a mystery Angel. I am going to go have a stack of pancakes now…..Lots of real butter and and drown them in maple syrup.

Welcome to the dream world of the 1960′s idiots. Bloomberg is an enabler and a useful idiot of these micromanaging morons.

  9. cube says:

Brought to you by the same government that brought us abortion on demand. Remember keep your hands off my reproductive organs? Why aren’t liberals angry over these invasions of privacy?

  10. KarL M says:

Sorry Angel, i can not resist…

JUST SAY S (NO) W to Mikey “the Muzie lover” Bloomberg..

  11. z says:

    Please pass the fries!
Wouldn’t you THINK even the left would wake up and say GOVERNMENT’S TOO BIG when they’re telling us what we can EAT?
I just read Randy’s pancake comment and am drooling. I’ve got to go or I’ll eat more dinner :-)

  12. Katie says:

This is what New Yorkers voted for. Just hope that your fellow voters will dump him in the next election.

  13. Always On Watch says:

Anyone who has a government job — be it a local, state, or federal job — may well be facing such regulations.

Particularly in these economic times, the government has such power to curb individual freedoms — even those freedoms pertaining to the food we eat, the fragrances we wear, etc.

Where the hell has common sense gone? :(

  14. Trestin says:

This a big reason I’m leaving the military. I want to be as far removed from our government, as is possible.
