Happy Passover~!

At the stroke of midnight …..G‑d visited the last of the ten plagues on the Egyptians, who were mercilessly enslaving the Israelites.

The Good Lord spared the Children of Israel, “passing over” their homes—hence the name: Passover. (Get it?) daydream

Pharaoh virtually chased his former slaves out of the land.

The Israelites left in such a mad rush that the bread they baked did not have time to rise.
They began their trek to Mount Sinai and their birth as a People.

So what’s the matzah all about?

The characteristic of leavened dough is that it rises and swells, symbolizing pride and conceit.

Matzah, on the other hand, is thin and flat, signifying meekness and humility.

Freedom and humility sweet friends, are the essence of the holiday.

Humility does not mean thinking less of yourself than of other people, nor does it mean having a low opinion of your own gifts. It means freedom from thinking about yourself at all.
(William Temple)

Stay humble sweet friends.

And just remember…..when IzlamoNazis wail about their so called “rights”…..

Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves.
(Abraham Lincoln)

Soooooooo, Who’s comin to Seder dinner? chef

Swallow your pride occasionally, it’s non-fattening!

GOD BLESS YOU ALL THIS HOLIDAY SEASON, sweet friends.angel-red-ani7

Happy Passover, Angel. The pics make me hungry.

“The Israelites left in such a mad rush that the bread they baked did not have time to rise.

If I remember the story, the Israelites did take a little time to rescue some gold and silver from the Egyptians. While they were in a hurry to leave Egypt, I can just hear the man of the house saying something like. “Forget the bread, we’ll grab some dough on the way.”

Hope you don’t mind the joke.

I pray you are enjoying your passover festivities. Do you do what I have read about where the little kiddos look for unleavened bread (I could be wrong) around the house? Someone told me about this long ago. Of course when I celebrated Passover that week with my dearly departed and sorely missed “Jewish Mom” she had not done that event though her much younger cousin had a little girl at the time around five years-old. Just curious. I am always learning new things about the Jews and do appreciate them. I wish the world would just leave Jews alone. They have not caused any wars and have contributed the most to the world more than any other nation, except perhaps the U.S. in hey day. G-d bless you and your family. Humbly, me
