I suppose the royal wedding is “cool” but I just can’t work up much enthusiasm for royalty or celebrity. But then I don’t ever plan on being a British subject either.

Unlike you lucky guys on the east coast, I had to start watching at 1:00 am ’cause I’m in the Pacific time zone. Finally went to bed at 6 am. Got up at 11 am and have buzzing around all day. So – no dinner last night, no breakfast or lunch today, and am making dinner now at 6pm. It was worth it!

  3. DeanO says:

You know I didn’t watch 5 minutes of the whole wedding. I suppose I had my fill with the Princess Diana wedding…ya, kinda dating myself

  4. amanofwonder says:

Cain’t say I watched the ceremony.

But in the back of my alledged mind I wondered what it wud be like for a little common girl to be singled out by Royalty to be the heir (yep I like long tresses and she got’s a funny blog site to boot) to the fantacies that we all long to live within.

Wish ‘em both well, just cuz a fella should treat hiz bethrothed in a redneck sorta way,,,,

I hope the dreams come true.

  5. Freedom, by the way says:

I missed the main ceremony, but caught the happy couple making their way back down the aisle, the carrigage ride, the kiss. Just like a fairytale. And more enjoyable knowing it’s Britain, not the US paying for the shindig! Gotta say I’m all about the incredible hats. Would love that trend to fly across the pond! Great photo post, Angel!

  6. DeanO says:

I’m amazed at the coverage of this wedding :) The coverage I saw was on the news while eating breakfast yesterday – and the coverage during our “Severe Storm Warning” which I thought quite amusing. Fun pictures Angel even if I’m not a fan of the Royal wedding but a big fan of true love

  7. Brooke says:

I’m glad some Islamist in a bomb vest didn’t get to ruin everything!

My favorite part of the kiss… The little girl photobombing in the front! LOL!

  8. Perri Nelson says:

    You know…
Despite my earlier words… it’s nice to see the press focusing on something good for a change.

  9. Carol-Christian Soldier says:

didn’t get up at the crack of dawn-but-find that I have grown to admire William and now Kate- so-watched clips and even added one to my site -

While being a Canadian makes me technically a subject of the British Crown …. I don’t really get too worked up over things related to the monarchy.

The fact is that these privileged and very spoiled brats mre often than not make public spectacles of themselves whenever they get “off the reserve”.

Like Willy in the wedding … when he was here in Canada going to school …. took a little vaction to Calgary to see some cowboys … ended up in the bar of that name and got tangled up with one of the cowgirls ….

Why people allow themsleves to become immersed in the manufactured spectacles of the Royals baffles me. I suppose it makes about as much sense as getting all worked up over some movie celeb getting hitched …..

For me … it is spring and there are better things to do with my time…. hugs to you Angel ….. I’m going out to check out the garded and see what has come up.

  11. Always On Watch says:

Great photos! You have captured the spirit of this royal wedding.

Friday morning, Mr. AOW and I got up at 3:30 AM EDT to watch all the pageantry. And we’re glad that we did so. This is likely the last UK royal wedding in our lifetimes.

I wasn’t enthused when Prince Charles and Diana got married. I’ve never much liked Prince Charles, so I couldn’t bring myself to watch that 1981 royal wedding.

Yesterday’s royal wedding was much different and a pleasure to watch — and to listen to. The music! Especially the music composed especially for the occasion. The sound of the choirs in the Abbey is something that everyone should take time to listen to. We don’t often get such an auditory treat by staying at home and watching a wedding.

  12. Woodsterman says:

    What? Was there a wedding?

  13. Jenny says:

YAYYYYYY true love, enduring (traditional, one man/one woman) marriage, breathtaking romance, and lots of cute babies!!!!!

  14. Bunni says:

I was up really really early and watched the whole thing too! It was beautiful and cheered up the news. Also, It doesn’t seem all the crazy foreigners who were threatening to do awful things did a single bad thing! Good for that. Who would want to see those tards! Speaking of which, I’m sure glad barky and moo were barred from the Wedding! Can you imagine if we had to look at those two frauds. I’m sure the Queen, and also Wills & Kate said “ban that horrid woman and her huckster husband” Thank God for that!
Have a fun weekend, loved your photos.

  15. Katie says:

Beautiful bride, lovely dress, wonderful ceremony.

    Wish them all the best.

  16. z says:

Wasn’t it wonderful? and wasn’t she GORGEOUS? I loved her gown!

Now come to my place or email me and tell me what to bring to a bris, please?” THanks, my friend! xxx Z

I only wanted to see the dress, very pretty

  19. The Malcontent says:

Ah, to be young and in love.

  20. Leticia says:

Missed it, on purpose. One of my friends was talking about the wedding, and I said that I had posted on Facebook that I, “didn’t give a rats-rear-end about the wedding.” She said that was mean.

Maybe so. I just couldn’t get passed the fact that this couple had been living together for years and no one seemed to care about that or the fact that a whole lot of money was spent for the wedding.

I guess I am being ridiculous, I suppose. But so many people around the world are struggling to keep food on their tables, gas in their cars and to see this flamboyant display of wealth, it just didn’t seem right. Not right now.
