NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. newspaper circulation fell 2.8 percent as of the end of September, according to industry data released on Monday, highlighting the further migration of readers to the Internet and other media outlets

Newspaper circulation falls 2.8 pct: study

USA Today… saw paid average daily circulation slip 1.3 percent..

Daily paid circulation at The New York Times fell 3.5 percent …

The Wall Street Journal,… had a 1.9 percent drop in circulation..

Well, well well……..(rubbing hands together)

I can not fathom why this is the case. Can y’all?

Humor me, sweet friends as I hypothesize. talkani.gif

Could it possibly be that they are long on coverage, but short on any meaningful content.

Or perhaps their compulsion of unleashing shockingly unimportant stories daily.

How about the even more insidious, scare-mongering articles targeting mainly the conservatives and ahem…”right wing” members of society?

Another distinct possibility may be the role these ahem..”newspapers” have played in promoting military failure and totally misreporting the war in Iraq….and the W.O.T.

soldierpaintball8-thumb.jpg

Or is that example of grievous incompetence and treason too unimaginable for you?

Denigrating the morale of our troops…. beneath them?..I think not.
Faking and altering photos and images something they would not stoop to?…Uh uh.

Naming the enemy in print?….Nope. newspap3.gif
Publishing cartoon parodies ……..Well, you get the drift eh?

Maybe they also need a clue as to how their Christian-phobic and overt anti-semitic “slants” affect their..cough cough…”former” readers.

Which brings me to us sweet friends…….Seems it has become our role to keep these newspapers and the Lamestream Media in check, hasn’t it?

Expose their maneuverings and manipulations.

Whether it’s the N.Y. Slimes or The Burr–ka Broadcasting Corporation, or the Crescent News Network……

Make no mistake. We are at war.

On two fronts.

One with the nameless seething “youths” …(Y’all know who that is dontcha?) muzlimtrssmall13.jpg

And the other is a battle being fought alongside it.

The only difference is the ammunition.

The newspapers and media use cameras, satellites, and armies of journalists and reporters trained in propaganda techniques.

Make no mistake.

The pen is mightier than the sword.

One more reason to Blog on, now isn’t it?

P.S. To my buddies, Please remind me of this when I whine about shutting down my blog nearly every other day huh?.. :)

The NY Times needs to get the message, that it is liberally agenda-driven, and that it is not ok to pretend to be otherwise. I just left a comment at Gayle’s (I can’t cut-and-paste, as she has comment moderation on and hasn’t published it yet) regarding Bernhard Goldberg’s book, “Arrogance”, which has a chapter detailing a bit of the history in leadership changeover at the NYTimes, and how it became more liberal and agenda-driven over the years.

Call me a wet blanket, but I think that MSM bias and blogs have less to do with the readership of newspapers in decline, and more to do with the fact that I’m pretty sure there are more stupid and/or clueless people around.

Sad and depressing, yes, but I fear that the one criticism you can’t level is that I’m wrong…

You are right on and IIS Blog has the proof: conservative papers have been steadily growing:

For example, the Post is now the #1 tabloid in New York after this year’s 5% jump and 19% growth over the past four years.
