Take this KerrY

After 25 years of storied service, the F-117 Nighthawk, the Air Force’s first stealth fighter, is about to retire.
The technology that once made it unique has now caught up to it, and newer fighter aircraft are joining the fleet. Still, the Nighthawk was the first of its kind, a fact anyone who has spent time around the aircraft is quick to point out.
Air Force’s Stealth Fighter Fleet Heads Toward Retirement
Part of the Air Force’s arsenal since 1981, the Nighthawk was the stuff of science fiction. It could fly across enemy skies and through the world’s most advanced radar systems without being detected. This capability allowed the aircraft to perform reconnaissance missions and bomb critical targets, all without the enemy knowing who or what had hit them. ..
. It has seen service in Panama, Iraq, Afghanistan and Bosnia as part of such operations as Desert Storm, Allied Force, Just Cause, Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.
Modern technology may have caught up with the F-117 and new aircraft may be set to take its place on the tarmac, but for those who have been part of its storied history, none will ever be able to replace it.
For those who either fly or provide support to the Nighthawk, the aircraft has been a faithful one. Knowing it is now in its last days is bittersweet for many of them.
United States Air Force.
“the most technologically sophisticated military branch and one of the largest and most important institutions in the world.”
In light of the loathsome anti-American, treasonous, self proclaimed leaders like Kerry …..I offer a tribute.
Lean in real close sweet friends, Imma whisper this now so the traitors at the Dhimmicrat Party don’t hear or figure it out.
Shhhhh. We are in the war to win. ![]()
Some of us actually value the ones who are sowing seeds of freedom, and liberty for all of us.
Leaving the battlefields stained red, so that we can be kept safe from duress.
We forget not that we and our children can live in this precious land that’s free from fear, a place where liberty sprouts her elegance.

For all my buddies and their families in the Service of our beloved country:
I hereby present…….
Rules Of The Air Heh.
(Rod Powers)

As candidates for Undergraduate Pilot Training, you will be required to memorize the following:
Every takeoff is optional. Every landing is mandatory.
If you push the stick forward, the houses get bigger. If you pull the stick back, they get smaller. That is, unless you keep pulling the stick all the way back, then they get bigger again.
Flying isn’t dangerous. Crashing is what’s dangerous. ![]()
It’s always better to be down here wishing you were up there than up there wishing you were down here.
The ONLY time you have too much fuel is when you’re on fire. ![]()
The propeller is just a big fan in front of the plane used to keep the pilot cool. When it stops, you can actually watch the pilot start sweating.
When in doubt, hold on to your altitude. No one has ever collided with the sky. ![]()
A ‘good’ landing is one from which you can walk away. A ‘great’ landing is one after which they can use the plane again.
Learn from the mistakes of others. You won’t live long enough to make all of them yourself.
You know you’ve landed with the wheels up if it takes full power to taxi to the ramp.
The probability of survival is inversely proportional to the angle of
arrival. Large angle of arrival, small probability of survival and vice versa.
Never let an aircraft take you somewhere your brain didn’t get to five minutes earlier.
Stay out of clouds. The silver lining everyone keeps talking about might be another airplane going in the opposite direction. Reliable sources also report that mountains have been known to hide out in clouds.
![]()
Always try to keep the number of landings you make equal to the number of take offs you’ve made. Heh.
=============================================
God bless our Troops and may He keep them out of Harm’s way.

Great post hun, I hadn’t heard about the Nighthawks retirement. Although I knew it was coming with the new Raptors coming online.
Have a great day!

Besides the Raptor fighters,
there is lots of speculation about a superspeedy (Mach 5+)
bomber that is operational at the ‘Skunk Works’ in Nevada.
Makes you wonder what’s only on the drawing board now!

Kerry Loses Gig Because of Big Mouth…
Looks like it did not take long for there to be backlash from John Kerry’s big mouth.

Great post Angel. I love your humor, you crack me up!
I have posted about the Raptor awhile back. The F-117 is a subsonic stealth aircraft, while ehe Raptor F-22 is a supersonic Stealth aircraft with thrust vectoring. And then there is the Joint Strike Fighter; several variants have been produced. I also have posted some new technology in the works.
We have amazing stuff!
I love those rule of the air! LOL!

25 years already?!? Heh, I know exactly where those retired F-117s can go, too… Naah, sKerry’s netherparts would be too much of an insult to this storied fighting machine. Idea rescinded.
God Bless the USA and her proud, heroic fighting men and women, of land, sea, and sky!

All good things must come to an end. The Nighthawks have served our country well.
I wish I could say the same for that despicable pompous buffoon, Kerry. When will he shut up?

Read this on DefenseLink…I didn’t know that only one F-117 has ever been lost in combat, to Serbian/Yugoslav forces. Read this on wiki:
“On March 27, 1999, during the Kosovo War, the 3rd Battalion of the 250th Missile Brigade under the command of Colonel Zoltán Dani, equipped with the Isayev S-125 ‘Neva-M’ (NATO designation SA-3 ‘Goa’), downed F-117A serial number 82-806 with a Neva-M missile. According to Wesley Clark and other NATO generals, Yugoslav air defenses found that they could detect F-117s with their “obsolete” Soviet radars operating on long wavelengths. This, combined with the loss of stealth when the jets got wet or opened their bomb bays, made them visible on radar screens. The pilot survived and was later rescued by NATO forces. However, the wreckage of the F-117 was not promptly bombed, and the Serbs are believed to have invited Russian personnel to inspect the remains, inevitably compromising the US stealth technology.”

Experience might be a great teacher but learning from the mistakes of others is a much safer way to go through life.
The F-14 is also going into retirement.
The F-35 may be America’s last manned fighter aircraft with the increased capabilities of unmanned drones.

Great tributory post, Angel. I can attest to the landings being equal to the take-offs. Mine were when I retired; had they not been, I would not have been allowed to retire… the Army is strict in their accounting.

Thanks to all my friends in the Armed Forces and to all of us on the sidelines cheering!.

John Kerry, the Joke’s on You!…
Stupid? I’ll tell you what’s stupid. Calling your statement a “joke”. You effectively said that members of our great military are stupid. You said that if you do poorly in school you get stuck in Iraq. Does that sound like a joke?……

ANGEL, YOU CONTINUE TO AMAZE…GREAT POST…WHEN WILL I HEAR YOU ON TALK RADIO…OR IN THE WRITTEN MEDIA….KEEP ME POSTED…
