LOS ANGELES…Student leaders at a California college have touched off a furor by banning the Pledge of Allegiance at their meetings, saying they see no reason to publicly swear loyalty to God and the U.S. government

The move was led by three recently elected student trustees, who ran for office wearing revolutionary-style berets and said they do not believe in publicly swearing an oath to the American flag and government at their school.…”That (’under God’) part is sort of offensive to me,” student trustee…who proposed the ban, …. “I am an atheist and a socialist, and if you know your history, you know that ‘under God’ was inserted during the McCarthy era and was directly designed to destroy my ideology.”
Wake up and smell the cultural degeneration my sweet friends.
The “youth” of America protesting Sad–dam Hu–ssein’s death sentence, fighting against using extreme measures to acquire intelligence and info. from known and captured terrorists, berating their President every chance they get……….and all while under the protection of America’s haven and shelter.
Say bubye to the Pledge. 
This self proclaimed “atheist” and “socialist” claims he “knows his history”.
If he did, he would know that more humans died under Communist and Socialist rule than at any other time in world history.
If his lefty anti-war (no doubt) buddies knew anything at all, they would know that it was Chamberlain’s appeasement that ushered in World War II.
But why get bogged down with facts when ya look so sexy in your “revolutionary-style berets” huh?
We have allowed “multiculturalism” to become a canon, a system of belief, a dogma in our country.
It’s not enough that we, as a nation are demonized throughout the Muzlim world and in much of Eurabia.
Our own youth picked up the slack.
And we allowed them to.
Just see how well it’s working in Britain..NOT
The multi-culti world is mythological.
And furthermore, it is outright destructive as there is no longer a common thread to even hold our society or Nation together.
Witness the Atzlan movement.
The lefties call illegal aliens “undocumented immigrants”.
Do ya suppose they call burglars “uninvited house guests”? 
The rad Muzlim movement.
The C.A.-I.R. bears with Elli-son as the new spokesman.
Sure, in theory diversity is simply lovely……the land where all people have their own cultural beliefs and they happily coexist.
Muzlims are not happily co-existing on this planet. They want Israel wiped off the map, for starters.
Ya doubt that?..Go ask one.
For multiculturalism to even have a half hearted attempt at success, it would demand that that all cultures would be open, and self-critical.
The alleged “moderate” Muzlims don’t even criticize the terrorists, let alone the radical ones. You call that “self critical”?
So, the California students see “no reason to publicly swear loyalty to God and the U.S. government..” eh?
Yeah kids.

I assume that these super liberalefties will be burning their american currency..you know the one that has “in god we trust” written on it, or maybe trade it in for pesos…easier to pay your immo “grants”.

I was born in Uzbekistan but I see no purpose in swearing an oath to the Uzbek flag. Technically I am still a citizen of that country but I see no purpose in swearing allegiance to the Uzbek Government. And the reason for that is because I am in my heart an American, a naturalized American, but nonetheless with all the fiber of my being an American. I am an Atheist but tears come to my eyes when I hear the song “God Bless America”.
What is wrong with these idiot thugs is that they have no country they can call theirs. They merely occupy space here and for the life of me I do not understand why they stay in such a despicable country as ours.

Meh- they’re just a bunch of self centered kids who grew up respecting noone but themselves- perhaps when the terrorists come to our shores, the soldiers won’t see any reason ‘to swear to protect them’ either- Just a bunch of pampered ungreatful whelps who don’t know what it’s like to have to work for asnyhting anmd who don’t value the fact that they have what they have precisely because people before them were willing to fight and die for those kids worthless butts. Sorry- but peopel like those kids really get to me. Awhile ago- John McCain spoke at soem college- can’t remember where now, but some girl who was scheduled to talk to him onstage totally disrespected him in front of 1000’s of students & then bragged about it- Calling him a loser for supporting the war- I did a report on it & it’s way back toward the beginning of my blog- if I think of it I’ll post a link tomorrow- I didn’t respond very well to that deal either. Kids these days need their butts kicked until they learn a little respect for their elders & our military and this country!!!

I’ve always believed that as Americans, the right to recite the Pledge should always be optional. As far as the article goes, the decision to not recite the Pledge applies only to that particular meeting and not the rest of the school.
On another note, I like the pinkness of your blog. It’s easy going on the eyes.

If we cannot agree on the Pledge, then what? Will the national anthem be next? As Americans, we pride ourselves on our national bonds being few and strong (the Untited States — note the plural — of America). What these fools do not understand is that sundering the few cords that tie us together in national identity lays the groundwork for civil war.
What know they of sacrifice? What know they of the long labor necessary to bestow freedom? What know they of the bloody footprints in the snow at Valley Forge? They are truly the ignoramuses of history, narrow-minded, victim-of-the-moment, selfish little brats who care nothing for anyone but themselves. They discard easily what they have labored not for, but we should not easily let them strip it from our hands, for we know the value and the measure of liberty!

I wonder who Ellison feels more loyalty to…his masters at CAIR or to his constituents in Minnesota’s fifth District? CAIR donated $50,000 to his campaign and ran the “Not in the Name of Islam” Campaign exclusively in Minnesota as the election drew near.
