Sept 11, 2011…Forever in our Hearts

The tenth anniversary of the ghastly, gruesome IzlamoNazi terrorist attacks on our beloved country.

I shall, Good Lord willing, be alongside my fellow first responders at Ground Zero this year as always…………….despite the denial and dhimmitude which surrounds us.

(For those who haven’t heard it….My Sept 11 Story)

I struggle to recall what my beautiful city and what the World Trade Center looked like during happier days. wtcani333

It was part of the New York skyline for 30 years, a sight I took in without a second thought.

How many of you had the chance to feel the elation from the view from the “Top of the World” observatory and the legendary “Windows on the World”?

How many of you dined, shopped or worked in the concourse?

Knowing me like y’all do……You know I shopped there.shoesani11

I looked up at those Towers to orient myself as did thousands of others.
And now they are gone.

My sore and aching memories of working at Ground Zero for months and months – are awakened.

May I present the pre-9/11 skyline.
Some views from the Top of the World Observatory, and perhaps a glimpse or two inside the magnificent World Trade Center.

Listen sweet friends..and never forget.

I had a couple of very good dinners at the top of the World Trade Center. And I remember when they went up (I thought they were 2 ugly buildings). But ugly or not, I would give anything for these buildings to be there still and the people killed to be walking amongst us.

On a personal note: My father-in-law (May he rest in peace.) was an electrician who worked on the two towers while they were being built and many of the buildings around them.

Still in shock and in Sorry. May G-d avenge their blood.

Angel, if I haven’t said this before, I want to thank you for being there and helping all those people. You are one courageous lady and I am honored to know you, in a manner of speaking, my life is blessed with you in it.

    Beautiful and heartbreaking tribute.

You are the best – Angel-thank you- for your service-

Did I ever tell you that we had vistied NY before 9-11 and passed right by the WTC- my son asked if we could go in – we said- no- that we had to keep going because family was waiting-
I said-”and it will be here the next time we visit…”
my heart cries whenever I think of that conversation –
    Hugs my Patriot friend!

Having not been to NY since the 60′s(Mother was born in Rome NY), I depend on you to keep me up to speed on the big apple. Great job again Angel, thank you.

    Thank you.

  7. Brooke says:

God bless, Angel, and an excellent tribute.

Honestly, I’m not sure what I will post tomorrow. I don’t know where to begin to express myself on this grim anniversary.

  8. Jenny says:

God bless you tomorrow as you mourn and pray, my dear friend. Thanks for being there in my stead and thank you for that beautiful glimpse into the wonder that was our World Trade Center. I never had the pleasure of actually going inside it although I have taken pictures of it from afar. Now I wish I’d made the time to experience its glories for myself.

BTW this will be my last comment on your blog although I WILL continue to read. I have made my own blog comment-free so nobody feels obligated to leave a word. There is too much important work I need to be doing, to worry about Internet statistics. Just getting some priorities in line as I reevaluate my writing goals and how best to reach them. But feel free to drop me an email from time to time and I hope you will. I love you.

May the innocent victims that were brutally killed that day be resting in Heaven while the people that carried out, planned, or in any way had a part in these murderous, despicable acts, be still and forever more BURNING in Hell! May the passing of 10 years have eased the grief of those left behind. May God bless them and watch over them, and may He bless the U.S.A.

  10. eots says:

Thank you for the tribute, and, most of all, for all the work you’ve done. Never forget.

I read your story, and I now understand why you carry the name, Angel. Thanks for you loving actions during that difficult time. It is easy for people to say they want to help, and it is something else to actually help others. You are the real thing.

We were all victims of the 9/11 madness, but nothing like the good people of NYC.

  12. KId says:

Beautiful tribute. A beautiful place, I wish I could have seen it.

  13. Freedombytheway says:

A very poignant post, Angel. Thank for your sharing about your work there. I only took photos from afar of the World Trade Center on one of my visits to NY. Never went inside. I have enjoyed watching the many dcumentaries about the building of the memorials. I will not let an opportunit to visit the new world trade center and memorial garden pass me by.

Thank you ANGEL for always being our spokeswoman for truth.
Have a meaningful 9-11 and bring comfort to the families of the heroes.

I have never been to New York, but it does not lessen the pain. We were all attacked on that day. Somehow I missed your personal post. Glad you linked to it today. Gives great insight into who you are……. An amazing person who loves her country.
Thank You Angel, for being you, for caring, not just for New York, but for all of us. You are a beacon in a very dark world.

  19. namaste says:

angel, beautiful post as usual. thanks so much for sharing these pictures.

  20. Layla says:

I thought of you Angel this morning as I watched the 9/11 Tribute that was beamed around the world from the videos put together by people in their apartments, stores, streets, first responders. I cannot imagine what was to see it in the trenches, but I do know what I see on the television, I do remember watching via television ten years ago, before I knew of you the second plane fly into the second tower. I could barely watch today as I wept and screamed and asked God why our leaders are so weak and have not just gone in and killed any and every terror cell aboard, in the Middle East, and here within the U.S. – no wants this atrocity to repeat itself. This President read from the Psalms of David, and he is a Jew hater. That broke my heart to see that hypocrite in the myst of you all that gave of yourselves – some – so many dying. It made that go down a little easier knowing G.W. Bush was there. He undertood – he stood there only days after the ruins. I may be not blogging since I am becoming a lawyer, God willing, but I still read and keep a pulse on this nation, on only a handful of what were my fellow bloggers.

Today be you Jewish or Christian, know we stand as one. Angel, you were in the thick of it, and you have seen horrors most will never see in thier lives. I do not believe television really always says it all hun, but it helps to let others know what you all went through.

I cry for you, for all of the “you’s” that worked there, lost loved ones there, for our nation that will never, ever be the same after that fateful day.

I pray God will see the unjust punished, the Islamosfascists and Nazi killers that hate us destroyed, and if not in this life, in the hereafter.

Take heart, we all stand with you today. God bless you and may the Lord shine his face upon you and kiss your cheek, Angel.

    Love,
    Layla xo

  22. Fred G says:

I agree with Layla’s comments above. We need leadership in this country at all levels. Leaders smart enough to know that the problem with islam (lack of capitalization of the first letter is deliberate) is not going to go away. We need leaders with the guts to declare war on islam and dig the evil ba*****s out wherever they are and destroy them before they destroy the very fabric of our culture. We have a closet muslim in the white house and a mayor in NYC that is Jewish and both want to throw Israel under the bus. Bloomturd is a good name for him! I am not Jewish but I am proud to be considered an infidel by islam and I stand with Israel!!

  23. Teresa says:

Thanks for fighting the good fight and helping out at Ground Zero Angel.

We must never forget 9/11. We must never forget that Barbaric, evil Islamofascists are responsible for the deaths of countless innocents.

    God Bless America!

  28. Matt says:

This is a very touching post Angel. It’s not really the buildings, but it’s the memories, particularly of those that did not survive.

  29. Bunni says:

God Bless You Angel, this must be an especially horrible day for you….being so close to the horros, and still doing such a BEAUTIFUL post.

Thank you for being a great Patriot and Friend.
We will never, never forget. Once we get this muzzy loving mental case out of our house, then maybe we can start fighting them better, within our own Country.
    God Bless America.

  31. Always On Watch says:

    Angel,
I’m finally getting to your 9/11 anniversary post. I knew that it would be a beautiful and touching post — with a New Yorker’s personal touch.

I also took time to read the earlier 9/11 post you linked. I’d read it before, of course, but wanted to read it again.

I couldn’t bring myself to make many blog rounds yesterday. The day was too somber for me! Here we are, 10 years after 9/11, and so many are in denial as to who the enemy really is. Dhimmitude runs rampant now!

  32. Trestin says:

A lot of things have changed for the worst since that day.
