Gratitude

Soooooooooooo…………Are you the type of person who lights a candle or curses the darkness?
Do you bless everything that comes your way, trusting that its meaning will become clear, even if you can’t possibly see how in the present?
Lemme test ya then eh.
How do you feel about these?
I have so much in life to be thankful for.
I can be awestruck by the beauty of a mountain view or a sunset over the ocean.
I am grateful for being alive.
I am grateful to a wide variety of people.
If I had to list everything that I felt grateful for, it would be a very long list.

Hmmmmmmmm….Not feeling overly thankful….?
Fret not….I got a sure fire way to increase your ‘gratefulness quotient’
Howzabout you Include an evening meditation focused on gratitude. I know ..I know…but it works.
Every evening, before you go to sleep, try to come up with a few specific events that occurred that day (as well as some things from life, in general) for which you feel grateful. And yes, even do this on a “bad day”.Heh.
You may surprise yourself with what you find.
“If you can’t be thankful for what you receive, be thankful for what you escape.”

“If the only prayer you say in your life is “thank you,” that would suffice.”
-Meister Eckhart-

Sooooooooo Sweet friends,…What are YOU thankful for?
Besides me of course. Heh.![]()

Hi Angel! I was going to say I’m grateful for having you as a wonderful blogging friend. I am also grateful for God protecting me and all my friends in these trying times.
And, I’ll REALLY be grateful in Nov. 2012, when we finally correct the error that was this dreadful last 4 years.

If we are not grateful for all we have, we won’t have them long…Born out of experience.

I try to be thankful in everything Angel, but I surely fail too often. I try each day to thank god for the little things as well as the big things.

thank you for the reminder- my friend-
come to think of it-because I am in a VERY busy area in LA-CA – I know that I have been protected from several car crashes-over the years …
in fact – one this last Friday-mighty close call-man on a cell phone…
Thank you Lord—

I have a very long list of things I’m thankful for. We all should, but often folks focus on the bad parts of a day and never even notice all the good things. What a shame that is.
Have a terrific day Angel. I’m thankful you are my friend.

Yikes! Until the Meister Eckhart quote you had me going……..
Beautiful post, Angel….it’s a lovely reminder. Seems to me that the more we thank, the more good things happen. Praise God, He’s a keeper

VERY thankful for you, dearest Angel. Very very very. Also my loving husband and wonderful children and adorable grandchildren, all of whom are such blessings in my life. I am thankful for my salvation in Jesus Christ my Lord. I am thankful for the abilities and opportunities He has given me to serve and I pray I live up to each and every one.
I love your quotes … I am certainly grateful for all I’ve escaped. And how true that even if the only prayer we breathe is “Thank You,” it is one we should never forget to say.
BTW thanks for your kind comment on IHATH regarding my clouds picture. I got a notification of the comment in my email, but for some reason it’s not showing up on the blog. I’ve no idea why but I’m very sorry! I hope it pops up soon. Have a great week!

am thankful for everything in my life, and like you, I too take stock every p.m. and a.m. of all my blessings. The finances are a tad shabby right now, since work has dried up, but I have a roof over my head and I know that God has my posterior covered no matter what. And ever hopeful that tomorrow is another day and things can change.

Not enough. I need to be reminded regularly, so thanks Angel.

Besides the great bloggers I’ve met over the past few years (including you, Angel) who speak the truth and are standing up for America, I am very grateful for the blessings God has bestowed on me, including my wonderful husband and son.

I’m thankful for living in the greatest country on earth.
Oh, sure, we’ve got serious problems in our nation. Still, I can’t think of any other country in which I’d rather live.
I’m also grateful for the education I received. My parents sacrificed so much to see to it! An education is the only thing that can’t be taking away from you.

How easy it is for us to forget how much we do have. Thanks for the reminder.

As a favorite rabbi of mine always says, “we are living in Yerushalyem~how can you not be thankful and happy!”. He is so very right, but I also say, Thank you Angel~Yes, I really am grateful for your blog and the fact that you take the time to send out replies, and even a joke now and then. Somehow, even when you must write about things that are the opposite of good~you always manage to bring a touch of beauty to life. Blessings from the Holy Land to you and yours…

I’m the one who lights the candle, curses the darkness and stumbles over the cat.
In fact I’m grateful for my family, my friends and the freedoms I have.

I’m grateful for what I got instead of getting what I deserved. It’s a long and boring story.

Awesome post, Angel!
“If you can’t be thankful for what you receive, be thankful for what you escape.”-Love it!

Needed this uplifting post, Angel. Thank you. I am grateful for many things.

Thankful for the gift of time and the chance to love G-d through His creatures in the adventure of life.
I curse the darkness – a lot; because, Democrats and Muslims call it light.
I light the candles of truth in my little blog to dispel their lies.
So, both.

Like the man said, “Every day above ground is a good day!”.
January 18th, 2012 at 4:34 pm
“What are YOU thankful for?”
“Besides me of course.”

So I will just say I’m thankful fur gittin ova the stomach flu.

Very grateful. Health, good job that I love. There are many people a lot better off, but many people a lot worse off. I don’t mind the middle.
Happy that I realize what was a big problem a few months ago can no longer be remembered and before that and before that.
