Mothers Day :)

If evolution really works, how come mothers only have two hands?
Milton Berle

Some women hold up dresses that are so ugly and they always say the same thing: ‘This looks much better on.’ On what? On fire?”
Rita Rudner

“Despite my thirty years of research into the feminine soul, I have not yet been able to answer the great question that has never been answered: What does a woman want?”
Sigmund Freud

“Humpty, if I’ve told you once, I’ve told you a hundred times not to sit on that wall. But would you listen to me? Noooo!”
Humpty Dumpty’s mother Ha

Stumped on what to give this year?

Gifts that never fail:

-A homemade coupon for a half hour back massage, foot massage, pedicure, or whatever kind of pampering she deserves.

-Breakfast in Bed. An oldie but goodie.

-Gift certificate to her favorite store..or in my case…stores. Heh

To my sweet friends.

May you be as happy as
you have made those around you.
And…For offering a lifetime of your tenderhearted love,
May you receive nothing but blessings from the Lord above

I would love to see my mother, but she’s been gone for a very long time. I still miss her. I do have my grandchildren and that’s a blessing. I also have a wonderful son.

Have a terrific day and mothers day Angel. Big hugs my friend. :)

My mother died when I was 36. I’m now 67. I miss her every day. I have no children and my husbands one son died (tragically) just four years ago. Sooooo……I have two step grandchildren. Not sure where I’m going with this, but Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mothers out there…

Happy Mother’s Day to all you mommies out there..

Honor Thy Mother (and Father)… not a bad commandment….

The commandment to honour one’s human parents is compared to honouring God.[10][11] The Talmud says that since there are three partners in the creation of a person (God and two parents), honour showed to parents is the same as honour shown to God.[16] It also compares a number of similarly constructed passages from the Torah and concludes that honour toward parents and honour toward God are intentionally equated

All I wanted was peace and quiet. I’ve been mom to my girls every day of the year for their entire lives. The way I look at Mother’s Day is that’s when I get to do what I want to do. Our house includes two college age girls, two large dogs, three cats, and a husband… a day of peace and quiet for myself is a gift.
