NYPD fights to fight crime with new ad, as Council tries to ban using ‘race, gender, or age’ to ID suspects

DOOZIE OF THE DAY.

FROM TODAYS NY POST.
I KID YOU NOT.

Cops might as well wear blindfolds if the City Council passes a bill that would let them use little more than the color of a suspect’s clothing in descriptions — or risk being sued for profiling, according to this provocative new ad (pictured) from the NYPD captains union.

The ad asks, “How effective is a police officer with a blindfold on?”

NYPD fights to fight crime with new ad, as Council tries to ban using ‘race, gender, or age’ to ID suspects

Sooooooooooooo now………..NO DESCRIBING SUSPECTS BECAUSE WE MIGHT…AHEM..OFFEND THEM.
Wait..I got it.

Howzabout we Just legalize crime.
Oh but hold on.

It’s cool to mention race or religion as long as it’s a white, male Christian or Jewish dude right?

And what exactly is the A.P.B. gonna say?

Um….someone, or something…I’m not sure… sorta robbed a bank?…

Are they allowed to describe height?
weight?
gender?
species?

Oh heck. Jus let ‘em have the streets.
After all we wouldn’t wanna ahem ‘offend’ rapists, thugs, murderers or Jeehadists eh?

IF YOU SEE SOMETHING….UM..
SAY SOMETHING…
BUT UM…NOT SOMETHIN TOO SPECIFIC K?

It appears NY is filled with stupid people. Good grief. Now if someone does something to one of theirs will it be okay to profile? The world has gone to hell in a hand-basket.

Have a terrific day Angel. Big hugs. :)

Just viewed a video w/ a commentator in NY– asking folks about the IRS – some did not even know what IRS was!!
and that type of ignorance is not centralized in NY–

You get the government that you vote for not the one you need. Remember that New Yorkers voted for Bloomberg and this gang of idiots. I hope they feel safer with them.

I cry when I see the city of my birth.

  4. Woodsterman says:

Does the Mayor let them put sugar in their coffee?

  5. Mustang says:

Profiling makes sense, unless you happen to be a perp or a mush brain politician.

There is a lot about the NYPD I find underwhelming, including the fact that their marksmanship training program needs scrutiny. Shooting 11 innocent by-standers isn’t such a good record, is it? Well, but what do you expect when you have Bloomberg for a mayor, and NYC’s favorite post-9/11 past time is kissing Mohammedan ass.

    Be well, Angel.

  6. William Stout says:

I once enforced the law and I can tell you that profiling works. By abandoning profiling you deny that there are trends within criminal data and also reduce the effectiveness of law enforcement. Hamstringing police by blindfolding them to racial identifiers will not make the public any safer and will only result in sharply increased crime because of the forced reduction of police capability.

If this passes, New Yorkers better be prepared for a siege.

Too many stoopid people taking care of the rest of us…

Just when I thought it could not get more absurd, it does.

    Great…finally a job for The Blind Mice…

Lets be real here, maybe i thought i saw a crime…perhaps it was just a scene being

shot for an upcoming movie…lets not jump to conclusions..

    Hahhahahahahahahhaaahahhahahahaha.

  10. Leticia says:

I absolutely believe in profiling and it should be utilized.

    This is plain stupidity.

Angel, I don’t know how tolerate the ignorance of so many around you my friend, kudos to you!

  11. Always On Watch says:

Suspect profiling is essential for law enforcement. Without suspect profiling, the crime rate will soar. Criminals may be stupid in some respects, but they can ALWAYS spot a sucker.

What’s next—not saying anything will be a presumption of guilt.
