GeT out God

Contrary to what you learned at college, America from its inception has been a religious country, and was designed to be one.

America: Founded to be free, not secular

In fact, the founders regarded America as a Second Israel, in Abraham Lincoln’s words, the “Almost Chosen” People. This self-identification was so deep that Thomas Jefferson, today often described as not even a Christian, wanted the seal of the United States to depict the Jews leaving Egypt at the splitting of the sea.

There has been a concerted, and successful, attempt over the last generations to depict America as always having been a secular country and many of its founders as deists, a term misleadingly defined as irreligious people who believed in an impersonal god.

This country was founded overwhelmingly by men and women steeped in the Bible. Their moral values emanated from the Bible, and they regarded liberty as possible only if understood as given by God. That is why the Liberty Bell’s inscription is from the Old Testament and why Thomas Jefferson, the allegedly non-religious deist, wrote (as carved into the Jefferson Memorial): “God who gave us life gave us liberty.

Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties are the gift of God?”

It’s either God or Ego my friends.

Spiritually evolved and developed people, bow down to something called “Truth” (the objective, not relative kind), and will genuflect to something higher than their own egos or will.

handtwopalm-thumb.jpgrabbi4.jpg

And while we hear liberal secularists profess a love for others, a desire and a need to search for truth, their actions belie this at every turn. They are hell bent on turning our society into an entirely secular one, based on humanistic philosophy.

God has been literally shoved out of government schools and the public sphere. classhands.gif

They assert the freedom of religion, but more importantly, freedom from religion.

They claim that societies should be governed by a process of reasoning rather than dogmatic belief, but ultimately, who’s “reasoning” prevails and upon what is that reasoning based?

churchge7.gif

Dispensing condoms in public schools
Abortion on demand
Legalizing pornography
Stem cell research
Se-x education

The truth is…….liberal secularists are far from personifying the neutral fact finders they indocrinate naiive souls into believing they are. They actually hold all religions in contempt.

The entire notion of “secular ethics” is laughable at best.

Ethics based on what belief system? tent.gif

Why is murder inherently wrong. Why is incest “wrong”..or is it no longer..according the them?

Sure, a system based on human faculties such as logic, reason or moral intuition, with no Godly revelation or guidance ….

No wonder pornography is legal.

Embracing a “universal morality” based on the commonality of human nature, and that knowledge of right and wrong is based on our best possible understanding of human nature.

No transcendental source is needed.

You know the “human nature” that states that men and women are the same..as in the same…as in interchangeable.

No wonder they see nothing wrong with homosexual marriage or homosexuals adopting children.

The wish to eliminate human suffering, and the insistence that all have the right and responsibility to give meaning and shape to their own lives.
All, except for their own Nation such as America, or their own faiths such as Christianity or Judaism.

No wonder they love Izlamofacists, empathize with Paleostinians and laud the U.N. and A.C.L.U.

And the oh so lofty aim of a secular society: pursuing happiness, pleasure, and satisfaction, for it’s own sake.

No wonder teen pregnancy has increased astronomically,
the divorce rate is higher than 50%,
women are conditioned to dress like whores in the name of “independence”,
The”sex industry” has been normalized and made to appear innocuous.
somethingwrongani.gif

Freedom.
From what?

sinabi-ddy.gif
Make no mistake.
Liberal secularists worship one thing and one thing only. Ego.

And God will not stand in the shadow of their interminable arrogance.

liberals are actually more close minded than the conservatives they detest. If the consevatives are so bad, why do we allow you to choose whether or not you may pray in school? The liberals take away that choice. The conservatives allow the child a chance to grow even if the odds are stacked aganist the child at birth, the liberals take the life like it is meaningless. I could go on, but you get my drift, freewill is missing at the core of today’s liberals, they are wrapped up in Trotsky’s governemt think for you approach. I’ll pass comerades

“If the consevatives are so bad, why do we allow you to choose whether or not you may pray in school? The liberals take away that choice.”

Please, get this thru your heads – School is for learning. Church is for praying.

keep them seperate, and everything will be just fine. Put them together and you open a pandoras box.

And yes, American government is intended to be secular. The Founders weren’t that far away from a time in Europe where religious warfare was commonplace, and government and religion mixed to bad ends.

    They wanted something different.

  3. Ebyjo says:

Liberals always say that conservatives are close minded, but the option is being open minded…and when that happens…your brains fall out! haha

We homeschool, so I don’t have a dog in this fight. But I think it’s really interesting that in CA, Islam is taught to public school middle schoolers in some districts – they memorize the prayers and the five pillars, role play, say “allahu akbar” and learn the shahada for grades. And that’s okay with liberals, apparently. There haven’t been any news stories about protests or complaints, except from Christians, at least. And they don’t count. But if those same 7th graders were required to recite the Lord’s Prayer or know the names of the books of the Torah, or role play going through the stations of the cross, those same liberals would completely flip out. I guess some religions are more equal than others.

    Someone leaked Bush’s speech…

Another horrible leak out of Washington. Some traitor leaked the final draft of President George W. Bush’s Speech on Iraq titled ‘Way Forward’. Here are a few excerpts: As you may have heard, I have directed the Secretary of Defense…

  7. Layla says:

It is really sad how society is so duped and has bought into so much of the secular lies. Kennedy was the one that signed the ‘Bill’ to allow for prayer to be removed from our Public School System and their it began. The woman that pushed for it was murdered. She was an atheist. Fitting isn’t it – when you take God out of your life bad things happen to you. I wish she had repented before that horrid fate fell upon her.

Then there is abortion, but Roe is now a practicing Christian, and tried to have that repealed. That went no where. Ironically she said that her case at the time was isolated to her, that she never meant for it to become what it has. How sad for her, but thank God she repented and now fights for pro-life.

Anyhow, secularism will destroy this country–guess people do not learn from the past, i.e. Rome, Greece, etc.

  8. Dumb Ox says:

It’s also extremely sad that Liberals have so dominated education in this country for over a century such that ignorance reigns supreme and prejudice passes unchallenged with nonsense about “religious” wars and a whole slew of other distortions. Those “religious” wars were fought by elites who used religion as an excuse. The simple proof is that Catholic state sometimes supported Protestant factions and vice versa–it was all POLITICS and by elites who were interested in making religion look bad because they wanted to leave the nation state supreme as the only voice of morality and power… Our founding fathers and mothers trusted LAW and its solid foundation on RELIGION more than they trusted MEN. If Libs like San Fran would read an actual book instead of drinking koolaid from their elementary school teachers gibberish, they might wake up…

  9. michael says:

As a Jew, and therefore a minority when I was in public schools, I’ll say that I was always a little uneasy about religious displays… They always seemed, no matter how ecumenical the producer, to be overtly Christian.

I’m not one of those people who will say that other religions are “against mine,” and so I can’t participate, but I will say that the occasional Christmas carrol in elementary school, or the decorations in the junior and senior high, made me uneasy.

That changed a bit as an adult. The public displays just seemed to be someone else’s way of showing off their beliefs. Just as I put a sukkah in the back yard, or a chanukiyah in the window.

I must agree with your basic point, though, that without some religious base, we’ll lose our bearings on morality and ethics.

Some of your specifics, though, I have some problems with. Why shouldn’t homosexual couples be allowed the same marriage benefits (notice, I don’t say marriage, as a religious institution, it’s for org religions to decide) as straight couples? Why shouldn’t homosexuals be able to adopt?

    Just some thoughts…

That was a great post and so true. Funny how the radical secular left only refers to any religious affiliation on the part of the Founding Fathers when they want to connect it with slavery, but suddenly our Founding Fathers were all practically card-carrying members of CPUSA when we are examining the “penumbras” surrounding the original 10 amendments. But then, logic has never been a strong suit among ACLU types who tend to count on sympathetic judges rather than rational ones to rule in their favor.

Blindsided by the cultural revolution in the 60s and 70s, too many of us slept while our country was being chewed apart by the left’s hedonistic anti-God termites. They have weakened the very foundation of this country. Only larger hands than ours will be able to restore it. Let’s help Him -keep up the truth-telling, only it will set us free.

Your writing has really taken off.
    Excellent Post
Unfortunately, Americans have short memories and little interest in the past. Children today will not have the same experiences, education or upbringing that we had. When I was in school, we said the Pledge of Allegiance every day. When I was teaching, I was told that students had the right not to say the pledge.
I think America is moving in the same direction as Europe. Were once God was revered, he is now all but ignored.

  15. OMMAG says:

Angel..you always make your points so well….
On the topic if liberal secularism the end results and logical conclusion of a nation embracing this point of view as a kind of doctrine are very clear.
America is in a moral vacuum that leads to all kinds of secondary problems.

People are supposed to be able to embrace their religion and found their lives on it’s principles. Just keep in mind the other fundamental guiding principle that most Americans used to embrace and that is part and parcel of being free … that would be Minding Ones Own Damned Business ….

More of this needs to done by people of all stripes …….. And I am talking primarily about meddling liberal know alls that seem to resent our basic right to be left the hell alone!

But I am a cranky middle aged guy!

  16. kevin says:

    Angel, kudo’s on the halo

SF Liberal,,The founding father’s concerns were with warring factions between Prodestents and Catholics. Whoever was in power would claim one or the other as the national religion and with every change of power would come war. America outlawed this practice and invented a non-denominational state.

Due to this theory of inclusion, the US has never had an internal war due to sectarian differences. The founders believed that our rights came from God, “endowed by our Creator” not the government, and making those decisions of faith were up to the individual.

This does NOT mean the founders wanted to remove all religion from public life, if this were true they wouldn’t have mention a Creator at all.

I haven’t read all these comments, but OBOB’s sure got it right. The most discriminating people in America are liberals themselves. 30. kerwin says:

Secularism is a socialist idea and not one of our Founding fathers. Anyone who studies the history of both of those groups with an open mind would know that. Even the letter the Supreme Court used to declare secularism the law of the land proclaimed God as over the United States and stated that the law of the land was the Law of Nature and Nature’s God.

So SCOTUS lied what is new.

  31. Liberal Secularist says:

    You people are scary.

I’d like to go back to a simpler time, waaaay back before 1954 when “under God” was introduced into the Pledge of Allegiance, before Eisenhower proclaimed the “dedication of our Nation and our people to the Almighty.” Like San Franciso Liberal says, learn at school, pray at home. Keep religion – and that’s ALL religion including but not limited to Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, or whatever – out of schools unless the religions are being studied in some kind of educational context. Kids should learn about the different cultures in the world, so they may be tolerant and understanding of those that are different than them, but there is no reason to be proclaiming faith to some god, any god, in school. You want your kids to pray at school, they can pray in a private school. My taxes don’t need to subsidize prayer time, for anybody, of any religion.

Guess I’ll go pack my bags for my trip to hell.
