Star Spangled Banner?..or NoT

NEW YORK (AFP) - Members of a close-harmony group from Yale University are recovering after being ambushed and beaten up while on tour in California.
Yale barbershop singers recovering after ambush
Members of the a cappella Baker’s Dozen were performing at a party in San Francisco at the new year when their rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner” apparently sparked taunts and threats from fellow partygoers.“Besides any bruising or scrapes to the face, the main injury I suffered was I broke my jaw in two places,” one of the singers, 18-year-old Sharyar Aziz, was quoted as saying.

Well of course we can see how singing the “Star Spangled Banner” in San Franfreako can spark taunts and threats. (Apologies to the patriots in S.F.)
The Baker’s Dozen formed in 1947, and over the past half century has established a diverse repertoire varying from traditional pieces to jazz and modern pop/rock classics.
Performances in recent years include concerts at the White House for President Bush and the Class of ’68, the National Anthem for the LA Lakers, on the set of Miramax Pictures “The Forgotten”, television show “The Wayne Brady Show”, ski resorts and country clubs throughout the country, as well as Yale Clubs in the Northeast and California.
Shows are tailored to the mood and makeup of each distinct audience and seek to engage every crowd with not only harmony, but unsurpassed showmanship. We are Old Yale class and pose one minute, and funny for 6-year olds the very next. The BDs have a passion for each other and for the music, and because they show both, the audience always leaves smiling.
Yale’s A Cappella Singing group
Who beats up an a cappella group, you ask.
You just know that these were the children who had the toxins of PC injected into their veins by their hippy dippy folks back in the day.

They then grew up to attend American universities, which we know are cesspools of radical America-loathing rhetoric.

But Libs don’t tend to be emotionally-charged and highly reactive, do they?
Naw, it’s just that hardcore koolaid drinkers regard it as a sign of their intellectual superiority to come to blows with patriotic Americans, especially the really dangerous ones..you know like BarberShop Quartet singers.
Where’s the brain bleach?

Some truths are simply too terrifying for some people to process rationally.
San FranFreako Libs see the beheadings, torture and killings at the hands of Rad Muzlims but they can’t process the truth.
The same enemy that is gunning for us is gunning for them too.
So,instead.. they roam..in search of a less threatening villain, one that would not upset their delicate equilibrium and tainted world view.
They settle on Patriotic Americans...and er…BarberShop Quartets.
After all …Violence never solves anything, it just continues the cycle of violence. Arms are for hugging. blah blah blah.
Sh-aria anyone?
Cue soundtrack: “All you Need is Love”.

“So,instead.. they roam..in search of a less threatening villain”
LOL, Angel. For all of their bitterness and anger, libs prove over and over that they are just a big bunch of misguided “girlie men”.

Remember Angel,
San Franatic is the home of Barry Bonds where it is always just flaxseed oil or a Balm…apparently the whole city is doing the juice, and can not be held responsible for their behavior or lack of!!!!
Maybe thru the Purple Haze they looked like the Dixie Chick(en)s…

“Where’s the brain bleach?” ROTFALMAO! How in the world do you come up with this stuff, Angel girl?
You are very nice to have apologized to the patriots in SF. I wasn’t aware there were any left.

“After all …Violence never solves anything, it just continues the cycle of violence. Arms are for hugging. blah blah blah.”
Hilarious, Angel! You’re brilliant. I saw this story and was incensed that these guys were beaten up just for something like that. But what do they expect in San Francisco?

Angel, you always manage to find the most outrageous stories, and explicate them with a combination of fury, cynicism, and sarcasm sufficient to crisp your target, and burn the bystanders.
I love it.
I did notice this, however:
“one of the singers, 18-year-old Sharyar Aziz”
Do you think it is possible that people saw the Star-Spangled Banner being sung by young men of “Middle Eastern appearence,” and cracked?
Either way, it’s inexcusable. But I wonder if there is more to the story than we know…

Angel
You hit the nail on the head again..It’s easier to hate America than those who wish to destroy it. Come to think of it- too many of our leftist americans wish to destroy it (as it is). The technique most practiced by the old expansionist USSR was to destabilize and destroy what is stable and then rebuild it as part of the utopian empire of the Godless communist state.

These people must not be very smart. It’s easier for them to attack these great Americans, than to expand their minds to see what and who the real enemy is.

Little Mosque on the Prairie, the reviews are in…
Little Mosque on the Prairie is a television series by the CBC. When I first heard about this I had very mixed feelings. I could just read the headlines “Muslims offended by Little Mosque on he Prairie” followed by rioting,…

Thanks y’all so much for the support and kindness…this remark by DL is so foreshadowing isn’t it?

Michael: I am fairly certain that the assailants in this case have no idea what a person of Middle Eastern descent looks like. They’d need to stop watching MtV (tv for Slow Teenagers) and BET for five seconds to look.
I wanted to write this story, stopped, and just linked the original article on my site. I can’t say it better than Angel did.

Hey, Angel: Why are peace activist-types so violent?
Heh.
Seriously, what sort of hellfire would’ve fallen should some Muslims have gotten the crap beat out of them for, say, shouting Allahu Akbar?
These hippie freak jobs should’ve tried to beat these guys up! LOL!

Three of the thugs involved are the sons of a prominent (read rich) pediatrician. Did you happen to read the dippy statement by the Police Chief
about the lack of arrests? I smell a rat. I hope the Yale boys get some justice, but I don’t expect they’ll get it from the SF flakes.

“MtV (tv for Slow Teenagers)”
You overvalue MTV.

Liberals are cowards. Honestly, that is what suffuses their whole worldview — kowtowing to the Europeans, running from the terrorists, fearing guns, praising criminals — from beginning to end, liberalism is cowardice seeking a philosophical framework!

Hey, everybody — I’m in San Francisco and am familiar with the details of this case, and some of you have it way wrong.
This was a gay-bashing perpetrated by the most conservative group in San Francisco, wealthy white Catholic schoolboys. It’s not known if any (most? all?) of the Baker’s Dozen are gay, but that was their perception.
Some points:
– The party was given by kids from one conservative Catholic prep school, St. Ignatius. The crashers/bashers were from a rival conservative Catholic prep school, Sacred Heart.
– Sacred Heart has close ties to San Francisco police, being a school largely attended by families who have been in police or fire protection for generations. There have been previous reports of police failing to crack down on lawless behavior by Sacred Heart kids.
– One of the Yale victims, Aziz, hired a San Francisco law firm connected with San Francisco’s progressive/far left faction. One of its principals, Matt Gonzalez, ran for mayor against Gavin Newsom, coming from Newsom’s left.
So the script that this was some kind of liberal attack on conservatives not only doesn’t hold up — the opposite is true. Time to recheck your worldview.

Angel you need to get your facts straight. The choir sung the national anthem at 12 AM and the fight occured at 1:30 AM. A lot happens within the hour and a half. The Yale choir went up to the accusers before any taunting even occured and asked them where they were from. Once they found out the accuser’s were from San Francisco some choir boys stated, “Oh, you must be fags then.” So the Yale Choir instigated the fight from the get go. The kid broke his jaw because he tried to sucker punch Richard Aicardi and someone stepped in and socked the kid before he got the punch off.

I have lived in San Francisco all my life. My children attend Sacred Heart and I am very tired of all the bashing our school is getting. The alleged attackers graduated two years ago so why is SHCP repeatedly mentioned? Sacred Heart is a wonderful school and graduates many intelligent, law abiding young adults. The students are disgusted with all negative comments being made. How can you blame a school for a past graduate’s behavior especially when the school does not condone it. I suggest you go to the school’s website to read their response to this sad situation. These young men are 20 and 21 years old. When do you stop blaming the parents when their young adult children do such horrific things? Not one Catholic school can claim that at one time or another one of their graduates has not gotten into trouble. Some schools just have more money to cover it up. By the way, there are very few students of police and fire parents. I believe more has gone on than we know. The choir boys are acting like they are totally innocent. Words were exchanged on both sides for a long while. Does it condone the fight? Absolutely not. San Francisco is a wonderful place. Please let everything play out before you condemn everyone.

Hi. I just wanted to point out that you misspelled “Muslim”. I find it interesting that when a city known for it’s gay population, lashes out against an effemenate boys choir, that you would put blame on the “hippy dippy”s. The high-school kids who commited the act of violence were upset that the older college guys were hitting on much younger girls. Perhaps a national media, other than fox news might have made an effort to get the whole story. oh wait, they did. Perhaps the lesson here would be to not mess around in someone else’s back yard, unless you’re ready to get your defend yourself. (please forward to our president)
