Too much insanity and sorrow sweet friends..Time to stop and just celebrate. We sure do deserve a break from the madness eh.

Liberty means responsibility. That is why most men dread it.

Not us sweet friends. Not us.

So without further ado..On to the BBQ!

Here’s what I have planned …so far, that is…heh

Did you hear about the cartoonist in the Continental Army?
He was a Yankee doodler!

You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness. You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism.
~ Erma Bombeck

Oh my! I have to ask. Did you really make all that stuff, or do you hang-out at bakeries and deli’s to take pictures of all this delicious looking food?

God bless you, and have a restful 4th of July. It’s barbecue and burgers in the deep South.

Have a very happy Fourth, Angel! All too often we get bogged down in the nuts and bolts of policy and forget how lucky we are to be Americans. I remember many a Fourth when I was a child. My Grandfather would fire up the Hibachi and cook hamburgers and hotdogs, and my Grandmother would make potato salad and spice cake, and we would cap the day off with sparklers on the back porch and sometimes we got to fire bottle rockets. A simple memory to be sure, but it is the simple things that mean the most as you age. Perhaps the memories sweeten with time or perhaps we grow to appreciate the pleasures of simplicity.

    Happy Fourth, all!

No one has friends over for microwave :) – That one made me laugh but the rest look delicious! We don’t need no stinkin’ microwaves ’round here either! I fired up both the gas grill and the weber charcoal grill this weekend for the festivities.

Sorry I missed this. I only had really crappy WiFi. Happy 4th on the 8th.
