Eavesdropping AnyOnE?

CHICAGO — A graduate student living in Mississippi was an important Ham–as terrorist leader directing thousands of dollars to families of members who were jailed or killed, a prosecutor said Tuesday in closing arguments of the trial of two accused militants.
Student Was Terrorist, Prosecutor Says“We’re talking about someone who is a graduate student at the University of Mississippi, Oxford, Miss., and you see hundreds of thousands of dollars coursing through his accounts,” Ferguson said.
Federal agents found that Ash–qar spoke on his telephone 568 times in several years with Mou–sa Ab-u Mar–zook, an alleged top Ha–mas leader who also is charged in the case and is a fugitive believed to be living in Syria.

Hmmmmmm.
But let’s not eavesdrop on any international calls from America k?
Especially if they’re suspected or known terrorists.

According to the Dhimmicrats in Libland, well, shux, that’s just plain “wrong”. After all it’s “surveillance”, and that’s a naughty word haven’t ya heard?
Enter this Mississippi graduate, professor dude who makes 568 phone calls to a single Ham-as terrorist leader and it’s none of our business? 568. What in the blazes were they talkin bout you ask.
Oh.
Well, this busy lil bee is apparently directing money to families of Ha–mas “martyrs” killed in terrorist operations and those captured and jailed by Israeli authorities.

You know the ones who blast off the arms and legs of Israeli children in pizza shops in Jerusalem.

His defense attorney spins the story like this:
he..”was merely trying to get charitable contributions to impoverished Pal-estinians on the West Bank under Israeli army occupation.”
OMG.
Someone pick me up from the floor.
Let’s be honest friends.
We are dealing with an immoral culture with a strongly entrenched system of lying to their fellow men, (especially us infidels) and authorized by their singularly accepted book of socially acceptable behavior. (such as wife abuse and stoning and beheading victims of rape)
Their misogynistic views are trumped only by their utter disdain of the West.

Their culture of leaders despise most of their fellow men, (especially us infidels) and who buoy up daily in their beliefs, anti-Americanism, anti-semitism and rageful behavior by reading from the Ko-ran, thus legitimizing their pathology.
We are told that many Muzlims come to find sanctuary in our precious country, having escaped one Izlamic oppressive regime or another.

Do they turn around and express boundless gratitude for the safe haven that this country offers them?
In a word: NO.
Instead they expolit this newfound freedom to denounce anyone who dare accurately describe the nature of our enemy, the very tyrants they escaped.
They defend these Izlamo Nazis, and time and time again fail to confront the terrorists among them, which make them well……..aiders and abetters of terrorism themselves.
So spare me the “moderate Muzlim” shpeil k.
“An assistant professor of business at Washington’s Howard University” directing thousands of dollars to terrorists…yea, those, sweet, innocent, moderate Muzlims.
How dare we even suspect them.

Hamas in Mississippi…
His name is Abdelhaleem Ashqar, a graduate student at the University of Mississippi in the early 1990s. He went on to be assistant professor of business at Washington’s Howard University. Now, Ashqar, 48, is accused of being a high-ranking member…

What would you expect? They passed a bill authorizing a raise in the minimum wage (so did Bush last year but they shot it down so they could get credit for it) but don’t want to give one penny to the troops being called up to fight in Iraq.
I hope American citizens pay a lot of attention to this shrill the next two years.

There is no doubt that the politics of the left is killing this country.
January 11th, 2007 at 3:04 pm
So do you think the left will notice that someone’s spying on American defense contractors? (http://perrinelson.com/2007/1/11/383.aspx)
Oh wait… now I get it… spying on terrorists is bad… Spying on the U.S. government and it’s contractors is good…
What was I thinking.

You know, now would be the time to take a lesson from the Israeli’s in intelligent profiling, so that the Feds will know just who to … er … observe closely.
The problem is not surveillance of suspects; it’s blanket surveillance of everyone. I think we all can agree that Middle Eastern men with close ties to the palestinian territories who make 568 international cell phone calls to the same number in a 2 year period, and have 1000’s of dollars moving through their bank account while still in grad school…
probably match the profile.
Sh*t, the Israeli cops stop me all the time, just because I’m male, dark, frequently unshaven, and look between 25 and 35 (I really do get stopped less when I shave…).
They wish me a good day when they hear the American accent. Like I said, the problem isn’t surveillance or profiling, it’s the blanket methods the Feds want to use.
They don’t need to watch everyone; they just need to watch the right ones.

568 times??? Good Lord!
I wonder who’s tracing CAIR’s phone calls to various destinations?

Maybe it is the 500 times rule that pains the liberal left….
once a terrorist has past the 500 times “in the act” rule, then the jelly spined demo leftys will accept an evesdropping order….MAYBE!!!!!!!

Tremendous story. I thank you for bringing it to my attention! You’re linked.
I wonder if anyone in the Bush JP will bring this to the attention of the media in response to all the “domestic spying” nonsense spewed by lefties?
And no wonder this guy was allowed to go unmolested for so long- on college campuses, this sort of thing is lionized!
Best,
Truman

Just another isolated incident? I think not!
God forbid we protect ourselves with reasonable surveillance laws!
