BaggY Pants OpenTrackback Weekend
![]()
“Police said they caught a 16-year-old robbery suspect who had eluded authorities on several previous occasions when his baggy pants fell down, causing him to stumble as officers chased him.
“We literally caught him with his pants down,” Lt. Jack West of Covington police said.
Baggy Pants Trip Up Robbery Suspect
Suspected of robbing a man at gunpoint and stealing another man’s car after beating him with a brick, the teenager had run away from police several times in recent weeks..“He started to run, but his low-riding pants fell down and he stumbled to his knees.”
But fear not sweet friends:
A proposal to impose a $50 fine on people who reveal their underwear in public died in the Virginia Senate yesterday, but according to young people who might have been affected, that “jont” was killed long ago.
Translation: The baggy pants trend already is fading on its own — and the state legislature was a little late catching on.
Yea. Some of us just don’t think that gangsta rappers with their gun-toting, womanizing and self-destructive nihilistic ways are all that charming to begin with.
![]()
It was even suggested that the whole notion of baggy pants began with prisoners, who were not given belts, hence.. their pants sagged. What role models.
It’s no secret that hip hop culture is inundated with messages of sex, drugs, curse words, mysoginy and violence.
Notice the girls don’t wear anything remotely “baggy”. No, they gotsta look like hoes right?
![]()
Guess ya gotta have the look then huh.
Put ya baseball cap on backwards, make sure ya pants are somewhere round ya knees, and whateva ya do..tawk street slang aiight?
Jus don’t go round committin any crimes when ya do….cuz ya may jus git caught wif ya pants down.
![]()
Oh, and by the way…when messages of love, peace, respect for other races and , human uplift start echoing among the hip hop population, well then maybe they’ll earn a bit of respect.
Till then, pull ya pants up dude..dontcha know “saggin” is passe now.

What say y’all sweet readers?
Open Trackbacks all Weekend.

This post reminds me of an incident that took place last summer. I live in the eastern part of the Phoenix area, Mesa, the second largest population of LDS (I am not), there were 2 LDS missionaries on their bikes doing their work when 2 rapper looking thugs were taunting them and knocked them off of their bikes. A black gentleman got out of his car and pinned one of the guys against the wall of a convenience store, the other loser ran and tripped when his PANTS FELL AND TRIPPED HIM! It was the funniest damn thing to witness. Nothing really happened after that, just an exchange of words, but the cat who fell got some really nice scrapes and burns from the asphalt on a nice 110 degree Phoenix day.
