HEROUXVILLE, Que. (CP) – A sign at the entrance of this rural Quebec town says: Herouxville welcomes you. Unless, that is,you plan on stoning a woman to death, sending your kids to school with a kirpan or covering your face other than on Halloween.

Quebec town outlines societal ‘norms’ for would-be immigrants

The town council of Herouxville, a sleepy town dominated by a towering Roman Catholic church, has adopted a declaration of “norms” that it says would-be immigrants should be aware of before they settle in this town.

1-Children sing Christmas songs at Christmas and adults can drink alcohol.

2-It is forbidden to stone women or burn them with acid.

3-Children cannot carry weapons to school. That includes ceremonial religious daggers like kirpans even though the Supreme Court of Canada has ruled that Sikhs can carry kirpans in schools.

4-Children can swim in a pool with other children – boys and girls alike because they can’t be segregated. swimani-uddy.gif

5-Female police officers in Herouxville, 165 kilometres northwest of Montreal, can arrest male suspects. Also part of the declaration is to allow women to drive, dance and make decisions on their own.

And the Seethe-fest has begun!

But we know sweet friends, that peoples who are divided down the middle by religion, inhibited by tribal loyalties, irrational allegiances and who are conditioned to accept corruption (“women are pieces of meat”) can not live in nor build healthy democracies.

At least one town refused to have the toxins of PC injected this once.

And guess what.
Back in the wild, wild West, vigilante justice arose because the legal system couldn’t or wouldn’t deal with murderers, horse thieves, and common criminals.

So the people decided to act on their own and to mete out frontier justice in order to protect their families.

Looks like a bit o that is in order now as well eh.

Booooooooooo Yeah!!!

I’m a bit bummed at the part saying that women can dance on their own because I love dancing with hotties.

Maybe they can make an exception.

Wow, what a great idea. Can American towns and cities do the same thing???? No, I didn’t think so. Can you hear what the ACLU, CAIR, AMS, and all the other muzzie lovers would say? The courts would be FULL of lawsuits. They would be boiling over, offended even.

I’m going to start making a sign for my community right now, heh

  3. cube says:

Both the USA & the Brits could use a dose of this common sense measure. The lawyers would never allow it.

  4. Perri Nelson says:

That sounds like it could be a nice place to live.
If a town tried that here though the ACLU would be all over it.

  5. OMMAG says:

Unfortunately ..the town is tiny and little prospect of ever doing more than making the statement for the sake of making it.
Although there is sense to what they say there is no possibility of any enforcement of their POV!

I applaud Herouxville. Such things aren’t much of an issue in America’s Third World County™ as regards Moose-limbs, but we have an inordinately large population of immigrants from south of the border, both legals and (a large contingent of) illegals. When I’m shopping, for some reason I seem approachable to folks and am frequently asked for directions, help, etc. (I dunno why. Can’t people tell I’m a curmudgeon?) But when I’ve been approached by Spanish speakers, I have said,

“¡Hable Inglés! Éste es el Estados Unidos de América Rechazo hablar español.”

And I do NOT preface the remark with “Por favor” or any other such nicety. They live here; They are not tourists. Let them speak English.

(Yeh, I lived for a number of years on the Southern border, took four years of Spanish, had numerous LEGAL immigrant friends, have been a tourist (literally touring with a music group) in Mexico, taught in a barrio school in a border town. I could help these immigrants–both legal and illegal–in Spanish, but I will not, because each and every one shows evidence of having been here for some time and they’ve apparently not made the effort to acculturate themselves but6 expect others to accomodate them.

If a Moose-limb family moved in next door, I’d start raising pigs and holding pig races during their “prayer” times. (I believe I could wangle some acreage on a sharecropper basis from one of the folks juuuust across city limits.) And outdoor barbeques. Lots and lots of barbequed pork aromas wafting on the breeze… Ahhh!

Liberals are so firm that Westerners should GIVE women, minorities and practioners of Eastern religions EQUALITY – yet they dont demand the same from Muslims.

    Strange….

Isn’t it sad that in the 21 century, something that should be a no-brainer to civilized peoples must be legislated?

Still kudos to this city for not putting up with the poison that is PC and SPEAKING OUT against this sub-human treatment of women! :D

  10. Joe Gringo says:

Herouxville? I don’t speak a lick of French, don’t care to, but it sure sounds to me like Hero-ville to me.

The ACLU equivalent in Canada might have a rough time with #2, look for that to be overturned.

  11. Night Rider says:

I say bravo for Herouxville more power to them. I would also suggest that the towns do that here and if the ACLU tried to be all over it then the Town should run the ACLU out of Town on a rail.

I agree with Brooke… it’s a no-brainer in this day & age. Unfortunately, these folks are out there & they must be dealt with… the Herouxville system sounds like a start to me.
