Do as I SaY..
Urging a “do as I say, not as I do” policy, the California State Parent Teacher Association states that parents should be the ones to teach their children about following the law, even if the parents entered the United States illegally. However, a critic of illegal immigration called the PTA statement “incoherent.”
On Thursday, the California State PTA argued in a statement that “it is in the interest of all Californians to ensure that all children, including the children of undocumented immigrants, have the opportunity to reach their full potential and become productive members of society.
“To that end, we believe all children who reside in California, regardless of their parents’ immigration status, have the right of access to a quality public education, adequate food and shelter, and basic health services,” the PTA statement read.
According to Illegal Immigrants a ‘Conundrum’ for California PTA
Children should also be taught about citizenship rights and responsibilities, according to the PTA, in order “to sustain, support and strengthen our free society.” The group added that parents “should lay the foundation for responsible citizenship, including a knowledge of and respect for our nation’s diverse cultural heritage.”
.. “the conundrum there,” involving parents who broke the law by entering the United States but now are in charge of teaching their children to abide by the law.
“Our goal would be for the parents to instill in their children the information of their rights and responsibilities,” Loss said. “I understand that this is a case of ‘do what I say, not what I do,’ but we still think that is the parent’s responsibility to teach them.”
Oh yipee Childrearing 101:
1-Pretend to have morals or virtues that you do not truly possess or practice.
2-Hold yourself to a different set of morals than your children and the rest of society.
but most of all..to raise honest, mentally healthy children:
3-Do not practice what you preach.
Use fraudulent documents, enter or sneak into this country illegally, compound that initial violation by illegally working here……..
Then turn around and teach your children “about following the law”.
Teach your children, by example- that bearing, dignity, maturity, integrity and discipline are not assets they need strive for.
Such a value system arguably runs against the grain of anyone with a morsel of sanity.
OK for anyone still sane out there…

I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE LACK OF INDIGINATION REGARDING THE ILL..LEGALS. THEY COME TO OUR COUNTRY, SUCK DRY ITS RESOURCES ,AND CONTRIBUTE ALMOST NOTHING IN RETURN, AND THEN EXPECT A CATERED RECEPTION IN THEIR HONOR.

My sister-in-law and her husband, American-born citizens of the U.S., went bankrupt when they had their child, a preemie with multiple health problems. Meanwhile, the illegals were getting FREE health-care in the maternity ward of the hospital in Pasadena, CA. The illegals walked debt-free, but the Americans didn’t.
The problem is not restricted to border states; NJ is having similar issues, and many emergency departments there have closed as the hospitals went broke providing care for illegals, imported in to work the farms in NJ.

Angel. Someone needs to teach the children that Americans won’t.
This is also why the joint Dem-GOP “Immigration Reform” or “Comprehensive” immigration bill in the Senate had a section in there granting in-state college tuition to all illegal immigrant students.
Discrimination against American students based on race and national origin?

What this PTA nonsense bulletin proposes is indeed diabolic hypocrisy.

Yes, this entire issue is terribly frustrating. Not only about parents teaching children to be honest and straightforward when the parents themselves aren’t… I suppose, as they are here, it would be good idea for the illegals to “pretend they are honest and straightforward” for the children’s sake, but usually children see through duplicity pretty darn quick, and will only think their parents are hypocrites, which they will be.
I still think we need a fence. Heck, we’ve got enough illegal immigrants here to have them build it! Wouldn’t that be poetic justice?

From what i hear up here, you already have a problem with illegal kids having no respect for the laws. Doesn’t sound like a lot of the illegal parents care …..

In California, the schools get paid based on daily attendence. So, a classroom full Illeagals is $$$$!. In San Diego they actually had bus stops on the border, and schools aren’t allowed to ask about citizenship status.
