Jew Tortured, Times Fiddles

“Five years ago, New York Times readers were shocked to read an indictment of the paper by one of its chief editors, Max Frankel. Entitled “Turning Away from the Holocaust,” the article looked back to the genocide of World War II, noting that “only six times in nearly six years did the Times’s front page mention Jews as Hitler’s unique target for total annihilation.”
Frankel continued, “No article about the Jews’ plight ever qualified as the Times’s leading story of the day, or as a major event of a week or year. The ordinary reader of its pages could hardly be blamed for failing to comprehend the enormity of the Nazis’ crime.”

Alas, despite honorable sympathies for victims in Uganda, Rwanda, Bosnia, and Kosovo, the same evasions and willful myopia still afflict the paper when it comes to crimes against Jews. On January 21st of this year, for example, a gang of mostly Is-lamic youths abducted a 23-year-old cell phone salesman, Ilan Halimi, a French Jew. They held him prisoner in the rundown Paris suburb of Bagneux, a Mus-lim ghetto. From time to time neighbors entered the apartment where the young man was captive, either to watch him being tortured or to participate in his mutilation. Many in the area knew of the crime; no one said a word to the gendarmes…

But readers would have difficulty finding any mention of Halibi in the Times. The paper first mentioned the story, briefly, on February 23rd, a full ten days after the victim’s death. It did not run a lengthy piece until March 5, when an account (on page four) went over the ground long trod days before by competing reporters. Yet over the same period, the Times found a lot of space—on page one—for a deeply sympathetic, cloyingly sentimental three-part series on a Brooklyn imam, Sheik Rada Shata, and his congregation of young people in search of love and understanding. Although 9/11 came up several times, the Ilan story went unmentioned. It seemed to have taken place not in another country but on another planet..”

Some of us have been sounding the alarm of media bias and lies by omission for what seems like an eternity. And with what appears to be the world’s growing crescendo of irrationality, it hardly seems worth our effort.
Liberals seem to routinely substitute emotion for reason, and this war can’t be won with emotion.
One would have to suffer from elective blindness not to see the global explosion of hatred and hostility directed at Israel and the United States.

Some of Hollywood’s ramblings insights by the mental giants of our culture:
Jessica Lange: “It’s an embarrassing time to be an American. It really is. It’s humiliating.”

Julia Roberts: “Republicans come in the dictionary just after reptile, and just above repugnant.”

Margaret Cho: “George Bush is not Hitler. He would be if he f***ing applied himself.”

Susan Sarandon: “Let us find a way to resist fundamentalism that leads to violence—fundamentalism of all kinds, in Al Queda and within our government.”

Robert Altman: “When I see an American flag flying, it’s a joke.”

Barbra Streisand: “If ever there was a time to impeach a president, it would be now.”

The anti-Israel, anti- American sentiment has actually become politically correct. Left winged pundits freely express their hatred for their own country as well as accusing the “Zionist” evil-doers. And this naked bigotry passes for a legitimate political position.

The media poses as fair-minded and compassionate, while they regularly express concern for ..ahem..”Palestinian suffering.”…but scores of Israeli victims in the wave of suicide bombings, ……..go virtually unreported. The well of compassion suddenly runs dry.

Predictably, the media casts America and Israel as the world’s villains.
No matter what Israel does, it’s wrong. If Israel negotiates, or fights, or even attempts to put up a fence for the survival of her own people..she is the aggressor.
Liberals’ views are so grotesquely distorted that words like apartheid, and fascism are regularly used to describe America’s and Israel’s policies.

We admit it N.Y. Times and MSN.
We are racists, imperialists, and colonialists. Yes, we are the ones who pack bombs with nails and razor blades to cause the maximum civilian carnage on our city streets.
We are the ones who torch buildings, killing innocent civilians when cartoons that “offend our delicate sensibilities” are published.
We are the ones spreading hate, scorn, and revulsion everywhere we go- issuing death threats to anyone who dare oppose our way of thinking.

And while all of Europe is witnessing a bone-chilling rise in Muzlim can continue to call the perps “youths” and “freedom fighters”.

Because truth be told, you have lost all legitimacy in the eyes of any intelligent, moral, upstanding human being.
So g’head N.Y.(not so with) The Times…Take off the rhetorical gloves..and hit me with your best shot.

They won’t do it. By repling they would acknowledge you hit their core. What I don’t get is the massive amount of blogging, acceptance of what you say is true, why doesnt the so-called educated elite get it?

It’s getting so bad, it’s becoming absurd. Look at Fox news, people are flocking to it like crazy, because it’s less bias on most of their news casting. But the other outlets, rather than acknowledging the true why, perform character assasinations on their reporters. Unreal.

It’s ironic we live in a time like no other with more knowledge than ever before, yet we ignore the simple facts.

Admiting wrong is not one of the strengths of the MSM… They will not let their agenda go, no matter what!

BTW, I think the link should be fixed now; it seems I forgot the @. Oops!

    OK, maybe now?

I’m sorry to clutter your field! It seems that when I submit a comment, it autofills my initial typo! Argh!

I live in New York and never read the New York Times. Would rather read The Post which is hardly better than those rags you find at the supermarket checkout counter.
Any time I find myself on the other side of an issue then Susan Sarandon, I know I am in the right.

It is disgusting what is NOT reported, even Fox News has begun to skew their reporting.

Since when are movie stars capable of any political analysis? Maybe I can think of a few who are capable, but very few.
