My Superhero of the DaY

Do you want to know what “class and honor” really are?

Meet Sergeant First Class Timothy Faust.
On second, thought…meet him…again. marine.gif

I introduced him to y’all on July 12th, 2006..Here

When U.S. soldiers take to the road, most pray they avoid the roadside bombs that seem to explode every day in Iraq. Sergeant First Class Timothy Faust has a very different goal: He hopes to find them.

Every pile of trash can be deadly to GI’s in Iraq

Faust’s Demon Platoon has the “route clearing” mission for Company A, Task Force 1-36. That is the somewhat understated description of an operation that involves driving into a veritable no man’s land in Anbar Province to uncover mines, artillery shells and all manner of explosive devices, often under sniper fire.

I awoke to this beautiful and gentle comment from an American hero: marine22.gif

My name is SFC Timothy Faust the one in the story about roadside bombs I would like to thank everybody for your support and prayers to let you know I was evac from Iraq on 18 Sept 2006 due to injuries from my fifth IED attack I suffered two broken bones in my lower back and five disc that were dislocated but other than that I am just fine thanks to GOD. I hope American will contine to support are troops that are still in harms way. Thank you once again and GOD Bless American. DEMON 4

I received a beautiful letter from his family saying that Timothy is back home safe and alive.
Hooah!

Admiration flows from me to this U.S. marine, his family and the others whose love of country and land has awakened within them the need to serve us all.

And this one fearless warrior, who looked into the face of terror, who had to taste fear, so that you and I don’t…….. took the time to thank me and us all.

I am humbled.

To see and hear this Marine up close and personal and to witness an “IED hunt” first hand:

That’s pretty nice angel. Clueless Democrats don’t understand the sacrifices these people make. There are plenty of clueless Republicans also unfortunately.

Outstanding! I will echo some of the sentiment here already to say that those who criticize the military have absolutely no idea what dedication and singleness of purpose are. Not to mention patriotism and discipline. Thanks Angel. Thank you SFC Timothy Faust, God knows you deserve it.

    The Secular Islamic Summit …

On March 4 and 5, 2007, the first ever Secular Islamic Summit was held in St. Petersburg, Florida. One would assume that a peaceful, safe summit could be held in the United States of America, without attendees fearing radical Islamic…

Wanna see real heroes? Look no further than your average Soldier, Sailor, Airman, or Marine serving in Iraq.

Because of them, this Country will stay “Land of the Free, because of the Brave”.

  10. Maggie M. Thornton says:

Angel, as I was watching the video an email came in. After the video, I found that it was the mailing address of a cousin now stationed in Baghdad.

There’s no doubt that had the liberal’s support of the war been passionate, SFC Faust’s mission may have been different. Can you imagine an America selling war bonds for the War on Terror? Or a War on Terror with Liberals and Conservatives sanctioning the killing or capture of Muqtada al-Sadr – early on when we had him penned down – no matter what the Iraqi government wanted – because America’s leaders knew it was the right thing to do? Basically, a War on Terror with America standing united to the World?

Well, the fact remains that SFC Faust, and others like him, was/are out there making an incredible difference, despite the wussification of Congress.

    Thanks for an inspiring read.

And Angel, thanks for checking in on me. I think my computer is well now. How does a hard drive die on a 14-mo. old Mac??? I’m glad to be back so that I can read your good stuff.

I stumbled upon this article and thought it was interesting that SFC Faust and I shared not only a name but an understanding of service. I too am currently deployed in the combat theater, and am glad to see SFC Faust and has accomplished his mission and came back home.
