Matza Ice-Cream?

Ben & Jerry’s is marketing a matzah-flavored ice cream in Israel. “Matzah Crunch” was developed exclusively for the Jewish state, Avi Singer, the general manager of Ben & Jerry’s in Israel, was quoted as saying in Israel’s Maariv newspaper on Sunday.

The French vanilla-flavored ice cream contains chips of chocolate-covered matzah. It must be bought directly from the Ben & Jerry’s factory in Yavne and costs about $4.50 a pound. Maariv said the new flavor could be sold in Israeli supermarkets next year.

Angel, have a wonderful week. I love this time of year. It is truly the foundation of Christianity, the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. It is also a key event, Passover, for both Christians and Jews. God bless you and your family. Amen and Amen

We enjoyed a beautiful Seder dinner at our church last night, Angel, as we do every year. This time though we actually managed to find a real Jewish lady to make the soup. It’s the first time I’ve ever tasted the Matza Balls and I loved them. In the small town where we live there aren’t very many Jewish people, so it was quite an accomplishment to find someone who knew how to make the soup and help us do a bit of a better job with the traditional dinner.
Have a blessed week!

Matzah flavored ice cream? Could be very good…….when I travel to México with the Mrs., I always opt for the elote (corn) ice cream, sounds a bit yucky, but it is awesome…..same goes for tequila flavored ice cream, sounds gross but it ain’t!
Have a blessed Holy Week!

Matzah ice cream? That sounds wrong…
Maybe they should add prunes to the mix, call it “Let my people GO!” and stamp a warning on the carton that it should not be consumed by the lactose intolerant…

Hmmmmm! Interesting menu.
Enjoy Angel and peace be with you!

Anything to make this week more bearable… I don’t know anyone who likes matzah. Because it’s so bland, people have to add things to it, like chocolate, and then, at the end of the week, they find out they’ve put on weight.
It’s ironic. All other days, you avoid meat in order to keep yourself trim. The Passover week, eating meat is often the one thing that can keep you from putting on too much weight.
Blessings to Angel and you all!

hmmm…I think I’ll stick with the soup. Not sure I want to try the Black Bean Ice Cream either.
Better choices
Mint Chocolate Chip
Cookies and Creme
Caramel Chocolate
