NationaL Pride OpenTrackback Weekend
Fewer than half of us say we feel proud to be British, an official survey revealed yesterday.
Researchers said older people had a strong attachment to Britain but that the young were more prone to listen to the appeals of nationalists.
We’re just not proud of being British any more
Critics say younger citizens are likely to have lost interest in Britain because of the breakdown of teaching of British history in schools and because politicians and state organisations do not endorse Britishness.
Pupils are now taught 20th century history in which Hitler and Stalin are the predominant figures.British achievements in defeating Napoleonic tyranny or in resisting European conquest in earlier centuries have little place.
The British Empire has begun to be widely regarded as responsible for racism and exploitation in former colonies.
Its successes in spreading wealth, technology and learning are ignored, as are British achievements in suppressing slavery.
Surprised?
You need not be.
Substitute the word “American” my sweet friends.
Government officials in the U.S. and in Europe are slowly stamping out the essence of what it means to be “American” or Australian” or “British”, downplaying our pride in our heritage in order not to “offend” people of other nationalities, namely “Muzlims.”
In so doing, We have lost our very identity.
Perhaps some of the ingrates should try living in a Muzlim country for a spell. I’ll give them one day before they come crawling back to the shores of freedom.
Not even a day.
If we keep allowing the dreaded, contagion PC to spread, the Muzlims will succeed in taking the “Great” out of “Britain” and the “United” out of the “United States.”
Are you proud of your Country?
Why?
High time to take our pride back.

Hmmm I was just saying this morning, that for the first time in my 32 years, I’m not feeling as much pride in being an American these days. Because, I explained, being proud of being an American includes being proud of my fellow Americans.
These days it’s harder and harder to be proud of the likes of Pelosi, Reid, Murtha, She-Hag, Soros and their ilk. In fact, I am in no way proud of them. The actions of the politically correct yahoos further drives me to question the greatness of this nation as it coddles criminal invaders and salutes psycho’s like Michael Moore and Al Gore.
I weep for the future of this country when I see my fellow Americans even consider in a time of war electing people who are such massive p*ssies they are scared of a news station and who can’t even once outline a real plan to do anything other than tax the hell out of every honest hardworking American and give it to the dredges of society to further their forays into alcohol and dependancy.
A country that is full of people so filled with hatred for their commander in cheif, they’ll denigrate him no matter how bad it makes us look to the world, and our enemies. Who willingly play propaganda videos from our enemy and coddle them.
No, I think slowly my pride in being an American is slipping, and it breaks my heart.

Much of this started in America with African-Americans. Once a year Italians are Italian-Americans on Columbus Day, Irish are Irish-American on St Patty’s Day, and so on, but African-Americans wanted to be African-American every day. That was the start of multi-culturalism and the notion that the American culture itself is evil, that other cultures are equal in value to western civilization.
