Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
The brave die never, though they sleep in dust:
Their courage nerves a thousand living men.

Sweet friends………
I am in awe. Yet it would appear that some are no wiser for their death.
I will go out and dance tonight…but…not for a moment forget the noble, gallant souls whom the Good Lord no doubt has offered passports straight to Heaven.
Let freedom not only ring, but scream in our ears and minds friends, and may we never ever forget those left behind.
God Bless America, Land that I love.

Absurd Glimpses of Memorial Day 2007…
So why look at the “absurd” and “disrespectful” on this Day set aside to honor valor and sacrifice? We need to know what these people are up to.

Memorial Day…
Don’t forget our fallen soldiers today. All citizens of the United States owe these men and women a debt. We wouldn’t have the freedom we have without their brave sacrifices.
God bless all our fighting men and women today plus their families….

With sweet bouquets of White Lilac, my wife and I will go now to the cemetary to remember and honor those who gave everything for us who remain free, thanks to their sacrifices. This is much more than a day “off”. This is a day to reiterate to our children the most important and astonishing portions of our history. This is a bittersweet time to savor the gifts that our military’s steadfast have guaranteed for us for many generations.
God bless this beautiful country, the people who recognize the truth of how and why we are free and the selfless soldiers who guaranteed it for us.
There will never be an appropriate or adequate statement of our appreciation.

Great tribute, Angel!
Memorial Day is for remembering our deceased service personnel, but it’s important to remember our service personnel while they are still alive, too, like I think most of the readers here do.
We should also from time to time remember others whose public service is not in a military uniform.
By the way, regarding military service personnel, don’t forget the Coast Guard. Even in peacetime, the USCG faces down heavily armed drug smugglers and deadly natural disasters. They also have a very real wartime mission deployed around the world.
Great job, Angel!
