As an ol´soldier I must say it´s nothing more than impressive. But with all the excercice they must be going through perfecting this drill- When do they find time to actually train combat skills?

Hi Angel - Hope you had a great weekend. Yankees beat the RS 2 out of 3! Go Yankees!! Both your email addresses aren’t working (angel & smartyychick) - don’t know why.
An old friend of mine was a member of the honor guard at the Unknown Soldier’s Tomb in DC. It’s an intense whole “life discipline” kind of thing.

Great post hun! My son will be leaving for basic training on June 13th with the Navy. He will be at Great Lakes. I am happy about the location because my parents will be only an hour away. I am really proud of my son for joining up!

Countdown button pushed on Israel’s destruction…
Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad never fails to take opportunities to speak out against Israel. In the latest spew, he gives credit to Lebanon and the Palestinians: “Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stated yesterday that Lebanon and Palestine had pressed a “…

WOW!
I’ve also seen Marines do this before, but I always hold my breath when they start tossing and flipping those weapons around! (Even in a video, where I know nothing went wrong.)
Thanks for putting it on!

What a beautiful sight to see! They are amazing. Our marines..
and sometimes videos are the only way to make a point… I have no problem with them. As you can tell… I use them to make my point.
Semper Fi!

That Marine drill was awesome; thanks for sharing. The rifle inspection with bayonets attached even more so!
As for Amnesty International, that is-really sad that they can’t even pull the brightest out of public school to do their proofing for them. But I’ve been thinking: I think this is another way Bush and Carter share things in common. You see, in some fashion both are in love with a very inhumane Amnesty… :p (I know, groaner foul lol) On that note, that’s all for now!

Sorry, every time i read or see a piece on the marines i think of Colonel Jessop and his testimony in “A few good Men”…..
You can’t handle the truth!
Son, we live in a world with
walls that must be guarded.
Who’s gonna do it? You?
You, Lt. Weinberg?
I have more responsibility
than you can fathom.
You weep for Santiago
and curse the Marines.
You don’t know what I know.
Santiago’s tragic death saved lives.
And my existence,
while grotesque to you, saves lives!
But deep down, in places
you don’t talk about at parties, -
- you need me on that wall.
We use words like
honour, code, loyalty.
They’re the backbone of our lives.
You use them as a punchline!
