Courtmartial Murtha
The government’s case against a Marine accused of fatally shooting Iraqi civilians in the town of Haditha lacks sufficient evidence to go to a court-martial and should be dropped, a hearing officer determined.
Officer Advises Against Trial for MarineThe murder charges were brought against Lance Cpl. Justin L. Sharratt for killing three Iraqi brothers in November 2005.
The hearing officer, Lt. Col. Paul Ware, wrote in a report released by the defense Tuesday that those charges were based on unreliable witness accounts, insupportable forensic evidence and questionable legal theories. He also wrote that the case could have dangerous consequences on the battlefield, where soldiers might hesitate during critical moments when facing an enemy.

It doesn’t require a law degree my friends to observe from the very start that this case was premised on a total legal fiction.
The “alleged” video evidence of the bodies and “witness” reports would have to be authenticated in court. How do we know they are even legitimate?
Unlike, the International Criminal Court, defendant’s under the U.S. Constitution happen to be protected by evidentiary rules whereby the prosecution has the burden of proof.

Gee, I wonder who is steppin up to the plate to reimburse these soldiers for their out of pocket expenses for their civilian lawyers, not to mention the irreparable harm to their reputations.

There is nothing simple about War my friends.
War is torture, a living nightmare, even hell at times.
Catastrophic and heartrending things happen when death is dealt out from both sides.
The objective of combatants is to kill or be killed or to capture those who engage them in battle. Not a pretty sight.
The kool aid drinkin Leftards along with the Lamestream Media wish to turn the American public against the war by presenting our troops as torturers and war criminals.
They did the same during Vietnam. John Kerry was the spokesman for the Troop bashers and still is.
Lance Cpl. Justin L. Sharratt was in Iraq on our country’s behalf, voluntarily, mind you, to serve American interests and to defend this great nation that we so love.
We may never know what happened on that fateful day but we do know that he offered to go to Iraq knowing that something ghastly may happen to him or his fellow Marines.
Lance Cpl. Justin L. Sharratt knew all too well that he might die…for us.
In the meantime, these Marines aren’t out of the woods just yet.
But the last thing they need is a spokesman who served in the Marines but unlike other civilians, who used to serve and now refer to themselves as “former marines”, Big Mouth Murth refers to himself as an “ex-marine”.
That bout says it all, does it not.

When I consider how angry Murtha makes me, I next think about how angry he makes every Marine. He is a self serving, loud mouthed ABSCAM criminal. To have him in Congress is a supreme embarassment.

The Anti-war, anti-Bush thing is getting quite old..a bit like Murtha i must say. The effort to remain relevant by these lefttipping, liberal blowholes is boring me to tears…I almost look forward to Harry Pottie or whatever his name is.
