Kahlil Gibran would turn over in his GravE

I knew we broke out the champagne too soon.

NEW YORK — A planned Ar-abic-themed public school in Brooklyn has prompted polarized reactions. Critics warned Monday that students could be “indoctrinated” with radical Is-lamic beliefs and supporters called such statements “racist.”

Groups Rally For and Against Planned Arabic-Themed Public School in Brooklyn
New York Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D-Brooklyn) said the school’s children could be “indoctrinated” and warned in a statement that “establishment of an Ar-ab school is a misguided and dangerous idea.” He wrote a letter to Schools Chancellor Joel Klein to protest the school’s opening.

As I posted, ranted about earlier:
No Madr-ass-a? Poo!
The tumor still grows in Brooklyn.

Congratulations Libs for creating, inside America, a new generation of candidates for Jeehad.

Joel Klein, Chancellor of the New York Department of Education should be fired pronto.
Mr. Joel Klein, Chancellor, New York City Department of Education, 52 Chambers St., Rm # 320, B4, NY, NY 10007

Mayor Bloomberg should re-think his American and Jewish identity and the survival of his very people.

The “Kha-lil Gib-ran Intern-ational Aca-demy.” ?
Nice goin on the taqi-yya. Gibran was a Maronite Christian and a benign pacifist.

Using this name misrepresents and defames the very man himself.
Using the name of the famous Lebanese poet, who is a Christian, to give the impression that the school has nothing to do with Izlam , so..er….if the school has nothing to do with Izlam, why did their original principal (who was subsequently sacked),wear a veil and sell “Inti-fada” t-shirts huh.

Too bad they “found her out” before she had the oppurtunity to “teach” eh.

In-ti-fa-da. Let’s see, that’s the an Ar-abic term for (the contrived people who like to call themselves) “Pale-stinians”… uprising against Israel.
Nah. Nothin radical here folks.

Imagine the concept even.
Perhaps we shoulda opened a German public school to explain the Third Reich too huh.

New York City, the site of the worst terrorist attack in our entire history as a Nation, and the Libs and self hating Jews prostrate themselves with deference and in homage to accommodate and perhaps even train and groom future radical Muzlims who will behead all Americans along with them.

Thank goodness to StopThe Madrassa for waging this battle for us.

Since when did it become acceptable..(hello ACLU?) to publicly support religious schools with separatist groupthink activities which perpetuate ghettoization, marginalization and radicalization.

Ah, yes the Leftards supporting a madr-ASSa.hippieaa.gif

It’s not insufferable enough that we must endure the baseless, and despicable verbal abuse daily visited upon President Bush.
stickout-tongue.gif
Now we must listen to them sing praises of A-rabic, publicly funded “schools.” What next?

insaneani1.gif

Indeed, anyone who steps foward who is forthright and unashamed, to remind us about this latest travesty to be foisted upon New York and New Yorkers..(which will ultimately affect our entire country) gets slammed.
Those, however, with their phoney, self hating zeal for tolerance and..ahem..”diversity”, are cheered and lauded while they effectively obliterate the very culture that gives them the right to do so.

G’head libs: Revel in your denial and stupidity…while you still can. hitcheapshotani-ddy.gif

“It’s not insufferable enough that we must endure the baseless, and despicable verbal abuse daily visited upon President Bush.”

    Amen.

While I was on vacation I had a chance to have a (very short) political conversation with my mother. She made the claim that “Bush is stupid”. I challenged her on it. She didn’t give ANY examples to support her claim, she just repeated it. I asked her how it was then that he had managed to graduate from an ivy league school with better grades than her example of a smart man (John Kerry) and she said that grades weren’t an indication of whether you were stupid or not.

Ultimately it came down to her “feelings” about the man.

On the way to Tennessee my wife and I were confronted with numerous signs posted by the TSA about what was and wasn’t acceptable to bring on the airplane. While we were going through the security checkpoint the woman in front of us held things up trying to get a 12oz can of soda through and onto the plane, even though the TSA had declared that you could only have 3oz containers and they had to be inside a single quart-sized ziplock bag.

My wife had to give up a lotion container because it was too large and wasn’t in a bag.

Then on our return trip, she had to give up her lipstick (which she doesn’t even use in the first place) because it wasn’t in a ziplock bag. This AFTER the reminders in Seattle. She then proceeded to go off on a tirade against President Bush and how all of this was HIS fault. Never mind that the rules were put in place after SUCCESSFUL attacks.

According to her, Bush was simply paranoid, and because of that she was inconvenienced and angry. Never mind that she didn’t comply with the TSA rules in the first place. It was all Bush’s fault.

Again it all came down to feelings with no evidence. She even refused to discuss it when I presented FACTS about previous attacks and compared current conditions with the conditions when we travelled just after 9/11. Her feelings were more important than logic and reason.

Ultimately it’s all about feelings of persecution and/or guilt on the left. If they can put a veneer of reason on it that just makes them feel a little better, even if the end result is further from the truth than the start.

Is there any chance of shutting the thing down entirely? The whole concept of an arabic school paid for by NYC funds is abominable.

Perri, we must have the same Mom!

Yes, without them none of this would have been possible.

  6. David says:

    Perri,

The TSA is little more than security theater, “full employment for those not qualified to work at McDonalds,” and in no serious way an enhancement of security. It’s nothing more than petty anarcho-tyranny: pestering and abusing common citizens while avoiding doing what would work to actually enhance security (say, modeling airport security after El Al’s security practices, including, but not limited to, very advanced profiling of passengers).

The TSA and its rules are the perfect example of Shaw’s observation (through the lines of the centurion in Antony and Cleopatra) that when a stupid man knows he is doing wrong, he always claims it is his duty.

    *sigh*

    Training sheeple.

As to the school… *profound sigh* Were the ACLU honestly concerned with its view of separation of church and state (a constitutionally wrong view, but one it claims to hold) it would be all over this like a congresscritter on pork.

That it is not simply confirms that it’s a completely dishonest organization. Kinda like Congress. Or the Bush administration (Me? Badmouth Fifi Bush, the guy who said his amnesty bill wasn’t amnesty? The guy who said ANY country that harbored or supported terrorists had better number its days… and is “best girlfriend” with “Prince” Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, the source of most terrorists and terrorist funding, the source of funding–OFFICIAL funding–of jihadist madrasas worldwide… including in these (dis)United States? Yeh, I’ll badmouth him for falling down on the job in those two areas and for lying to us about his intentions and about the facts, cos, of course it WAS an amnesty bill and he has not and will not hold the Saudis feet to the fire for spreading jihad.)

But back to the school again… Fine. Let ‘em build and run the thing with public funds. And let every homeschooler, religious school and freakout cult “school” then go to court and demand public funding as well.

What a joke, Kahlil Gibran school!!

  11. KKarLLmM says:

Hey, wait a minute does this mean the new Charles Manson School of Civil Disorder will not open this fall??????
Don’t you all want to know what Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have to say about this….me too…
or in the famous words of the late Johnny Cockran…”if the school is for misfits, you must submit”.

It seems that Dov Hikind is the sole individual who is making a rawkus over the opening of the ‘terror sleeper cell’ educationally institute. Where are all the religious, secular, community groups who are angered with the opening of this school? Any activism anyone????

Angel, you’ve identified the absolute irony of the situation, made more poignant (sp?) by the fact that this is the very reason not to allow the promulgation of the Islamist agenda, anywhere.

  15. Ottavio Marasco says:

So let me get this right. Supporters of the Arabic themed school referred to the critics of the proposed (school) as “racist” – give me a break. The whole notion of such a school in Brooklyn should be quashed immediately, period. No public $ or debates, no correspondence entered into. Am I being too harsh?

I am a Senior International Security Specialist and former Air Force officer. I have been responsible for the security of bases, Billions of dollars of materials, and information (I only share this to supply perspective, not rest on laurels or anything). I know exactly what needs done and would implement measures to ensure real improvements in security. I bet you thought I was going to disagree with you, but I’m not. In fact, I couldn’t agree with you more!

I recently applied for a management job with TSA and was told I did not meet the minimum qualifications- they never told me exactly how I was not qualified, despite me providing ample evidence that I was more than qualified. They obviously do not want to move beyond the status quo, which everyone is familiar with as a pathetic sham that provides an illusion of security. If the bad guys wanted to do something, they could. They will. It’s a matter of time before their PC nonsense bites them. I applied wanting to make a difference and help keep people safe. They obviously do not want that.

  17. hnav says:

    It boggles the mind…

Where is the ACLU- oony with a lawsuit condemning the failure to separate Church and the State, with a Government Run Educational Facility with a Religion as it’s basis?

    No prayer in School baby!

NYC is a disgrace, and after the proven failure of the forced encouragement of separating cultures for diversity sake in London, you would think they would get a clue.

The American way is everyone is equal, and the schools should not endorse, promote, cater to any specific anything.

What about the sensitivity of others?

All it will take, is one child, with a very careful-savvy Family, who sues the pants off of NYC for producing such an ‘insensitive’ biased form of bigotry…

    Pathetic

I can’t imagine having had 9/11 happen in a city I lived in and loved, Angel. It was horrible for me and I’ve never been to NYC. It had to be even more horrible for those of you who live there, and we know what a horrible day those who died there suffered. That many are forgetting 9/11 is totally abominable! I still tear up when I see a movie that includes the NYC skyline before 9/11 and can only imagine how you must feel.
