Relaxation OpenTrackback Weekend
Relaxation…ahhhhhhhh.
Massage.
Indoor waterfalls.
Candles.
Serenity.
Believe it or not….It is something you consciously do.
It isn’t something that just happens to ya, when you happen not to be busy at the moment.
Relaxation and respite is a gift you give yourself, and a most necessary one at that.
Life affords many things. Among them:
Nervous tension.
Constant worry.
Pressure.
Stress.
So hows about giving that body, mind and spirit or yours some well-deserved time off eh.
First, perhaps you can find a peaceful room in your own home.
(There’s got to be one somewhere eh….C’mon: You can do it!..De-clutter.
Add some of your favorite music, (soft music, that is….), find some colorful scented candles or incense, pretty flowers, some of your favorite photos of your loved ones or special souvenirs you’ve saved over the years.
Treat yourself to some herbs and essential oils.
You can make a beautiful facial steam by adding some oils to boiling water and carefully putting your face over the steam…ahhhhh. Carefully.
You can make home made hair conditioners, facials,..using eggs, oil, cucumbers and avocado!
How bout exfoliating and detoxifying your skin. Simple. Use sea salt.
Or the simplest technique of all.
Do as the Romans did.
Roman bathhouses attracted visitors from all over the entire Empire.
Step into a sultry, hot, steaming bath. Luxuriate.
Or heck…do what I did. Took one of my girlies, grabbed the coupons our friend gave us, found the nearest spa and……….got pampered.
Ohhhhmmmmmm.
Soooooo..what will y’all do to “relax” this weekend sweet friends?
Open Trackbacks all Weekend.

Is it not strange? Women relax by being cleaned in a quiet place. Men relax by staying dirty and firing shotguns. Just contrast the spa with opening day.
I think women should go to the spa during the opening day weekend. Then we can come back relaxed and enjoy eachother. Man alive, we need a babysitter.
September 7th, 2007 at 1:18 am
While I agree with BWH, a good spa massage is hard to beat, bad back, and I use women’s spas for them, even a facial or two, don’t want to be a wrinkly old goat. My ex is to blame, it is relaxing for sure. It makes me more accurate on the range since I am more relaxed and efficient. I go to women’s spas because they aren’t a front for prostitution and I will get a real massage and a dang good one.

I’ve been relaxing for over a week now, at Warren’s place. Warren is the fellow who designed my avatar, which has now been tweaked with a gas mask in honor of today’s interview with Mr. Beamish.
What has made the past week so relaxing? I’ve been avoiding keeping up with the news?

September 7th, 2007 at 12:16 pm
The spa, huh? Well, Angel, I’m glad you enjoy it and I wouldn’t want it any other way for ya’… but I am a cleanliness paranoid about places like that. I ruin it for myself by considering what was seated (or otherwise) in that spa tub ahead of me.
But I realize that was not your point, just your chosen method. The message was to relax in the manner that best accomodates your likes.
Thus… I have a weekend of Roman like feasting ahead on dead roasted meats, with plans to smoke numerous magazines of Czech ammo through my AR-15, spend some time re-familiarizing myself with my archery prowess (deer season is looming!) and round out the weekend with some wood cutting and the satisfaction of seeing my imperial winter woodpile grow to further gargantuan proportions! Oh, the comfort and confidence of having a large stock of fuel to combat the coming joyous snow season!
And if I can find a few spare moments in there somewhere, I will continue “pampering and preening” my mountain sled for coming white knuckle terror climbs in the snowy back country peaks!
WAHOOOO!!!! Can’t ya’ just feel the stress and concern flowing from the body?
Have a premium weekend, Hot Rod…

Speaking about relaxing, I have a huge house that needs cleaning. It’s screetching at me! I’m also remodelling a house trailor and things are getting so hectic around here I’m going to be taking most of next week off from blogging. I can’t tell you the chores that await. But…. on one of those days off I’m going to fill up the Jacuzzi tub and take your advice. It’s a wonderful idea and I haven’t used the Jacuzzi in ages. Thanks Friend, because I have the masks, I have the lotion, I have the scented soaps, I have the candles, all I’m short on is time. Now, the only question is, how to keep hubby out of the Jacuzzi tub? Oh…. perhaps I shouldn’t! LOL!

My Contribution has to be about one of my favorite Singers of ALL time, Luciano Pavarotti As I put it in my blog, there will NEVER be another Luciano Pavarotti in my lifetime.
When he sang with the “Three Tenors” it was just unreal, every line was a delight.
When he sang solo, the audience was in awe, it was a experience that’s impossible just for me. put into writing. When I tell you that the entire world has truly lost a treasure, am not exaggerating. He always seemed to love and enjoy singing to his audience as much as his audience enjoyed listing to him.
Sometimes when you would see a Broadway show or a Opera or whatever over and over again, it becomes boring and just loses something, but not so with anything Pavarotti sang. You just could not get enough of him. His music was ageless.
I’ll tell you this, when Luciano Pavarotti sings La Boheme; the audience becomes speechless and electricfied. If you ever want to be part of that ecstacy, go out and buy a copy of that CD
So I have to think that God wanted to be part of his wonderful talent. Perhaps now he is singing with the Angels who needed a Tenor, and they in for a treat!
So, yes we lost a Great One today. Rest In Peace Maestro Luciano. The world was very fortunate to have known you.
Please enjoy……..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaufjDVYivc&mode=related&search=
