World Solidarity Day For Missing Israeli Soldiers

Bout bloody time.

Mark your calendars my friends.
October 30,2007.

World Solidarity Day For Missing Israeli Soldiers
Look up the events in your area.

and….If you please, take a few minutes to get to know them a bit.

-Ehud Goldwasser
On the 07/12/2006 Ehud was abducted to Lebanon after Hez-bollah attacked his military patrol.

-Eldad Regev
On July 12th 2006 Eldad was abducted and taken to Lebanon after Hez-bollah attacked his military patrol.

-Gilad Shalit
Since the attack at Kerem Shalom on Sunday, 06/25/2006, Gilad has been held in the Gaza Strip by Ham-as.

-Zachary Baumel
-Tzvi Feldman
-Yehuda Katz
On June 11, 1982, just hours before the declaration of a cease-fire, Zak and his colleagues were sent into battle near the Lebanese village of Sul-tan Yaq-ub. 21 Israelis were killed that day, and many more were injured. Three soldiers — Zachary Baumel, Tzvi Feldman and Yehuda Katz, are still missing.

-Ron Arad

On October 6, 1986 Arad was captured by members of the Am-al Shi-’ite militia after bailing out of his crippled warplane over the Leb-anese city of Sidon.

-Guy Hever

On August 16, 1997 Rina and Eitan spent the day with Guy who then returned to his unit in the Golan Heights. The next day, on the 17th, Guy left his base to return home carrying only his weapon and keys. Later that same day, he was reportedly seen standing at the Katzabiya junction, just a kilometer away from Syrian border. Guy disappeared without a trace.

Muzlims are not accountable.
No knowledge of the captured soldiers’ whereabouts.
NO Red Cross visitations.

No worldwide condemnation?

But please, no torture of known terrorists at Guantanamo k.confused1.gif

When the world says, “Give up,”
Hope whispers, “Try it one more time.”

Some see a hopeless end, while others see an endless hope.

Thanks for following this story Angel.

  2. American Interests says:

    Good post!

It’s taken a while for this intitiative to get off the ground hasn’t it?

Too littile notice has been paid to their plight.

    Thanks Angel …

  3. brooke says:

The lack of accountability is abhorrent.

  4. michael says:

I’m glad that there’s solidarity with Israel on this, but will it make any practical difference?

Maybe 20 years ago or more, I went to a march on Washington, in support of Soviet refusniks. I remember being moved by it, but even then, I couldn’t help but look at it cynically: What good will this do?

And of course, all the marches in the States never did jack to bring down the Wall; that happened because Reagan insisted on actually fighting the Cold War.

I think that we’ll find out info about the Israeli MIAs when the world starts treating terrorist prisoners the way they treat ours: let them fall into a black hole and disappear. Permanently. We (the West generally, not just Israel) have a lot more of them than they have of us, so I think they should get the hint pretty quickly.

It’s too bad that we don’t have leadership to make these decisions.

  5. the tapper says:

Excellent post Angel. This situation will not change! The world does not see the plight of Israel. They never have and I don’t think they will start now. That however, does not make it right. Can you imagine living under a constant threat of bombardment, whether it be from IUDs or suicide bombers they’re all bombs. What have they done to deserve this. We Americans, and the rest of the world have taken away their lands and given them to the Palestinians, Now we are trying to take more and give it to the Palestinians by another treaty. Of course we are paying them to do it. That isn’t the point and the world shouldn’t be allowing it to happen, but……T
hese Soldiers are like our own soldiers, They are being used for political fodder. They mean nothing to the powers that be. Israel use to, Not leave a stone unturned until they got their soldiers back. This too has changed. So much the pity……I ramble….stay well An God keep watch over these men.

  6. Yankee Doodle says:

Well, Bush’s enhanced interrogations are just plain wrong, but your point is so **right**!

Waterboarding someone is an outrage, but it’s nothing compared to what the Islamic world routinely gets away with. After the worst of the Abu Ghraib scandals, eventually the Americans turned the prison over to the Iraqis, and one week later the prisoners were screaming that they wanted the Americans back.

These terrorists are barbarians, pure and simple, except that such a comment is an insult to barbarians.

And only the blogosphere says anything about it.

    Great post, Angel!

  7. Right Truth says:

    Sunday Reading List 10/21/07…

Better late than not at all, here’s the Sunday Reading list. Armed camp(us)The Thunder Run The local paper has decided to weigh in upon the case of Shirley Katz, a teacher in Medford, OR, who wishes to carry her sidearm…

  8. Aurora says:

Keep the candle burning, Angel. There have been several cases of people being released alive after years of being held by these thugs. By no means should we ever give up.

  9. Gayle says:

Good on you, Angel! I agree with Aurora, and we all need to keep them in our prayers.

  10. patrickdaniel says:

Release them immediately or risk being wiped off the map!

  11. nanc says:

    how soon people forget!

yet olmert keeps releasing paloswinian terrorists from israeli prisons!

  12. Chris says:

Our own border patrol agents were dropped down a deep hole too… After facing abuse at the hands of their fellow prisoners, they were put in solitary for 23 hours a day. They have been in prison about a year now. And you know what? They’re probably STILL better off than the captured Israelis. It’s all sad, and good to remember them…
like the lady who was wrongly in prison for 70 years for the alleged theft of a few pennies when she was a child. She is just getting released to her surviving family…
Yes, sometimes these people surface years later, but sometimes justice can never be served except by keeping such tragedies from ever happening again.

Unfortunately, our government right now doesn’t have the guts to bring justice where it is needed, and the people must wait.

  13. The Hermit says:

I don’t know how the IDF will get it’s soldiers back. The politicians won’t do it, the “world community” is not going to do it, and the terrorists don’t care how many people they alienate. Unless the military can find them and rescue them, it doesn’t look good.

  14. MariesTwoCents says:

I pray they are returned safe.

  15. Martin says:

Great post; I’ll keep praying for them. Sad though to think that were those kidnapped Palis, they’d have a little clock on the right hand side of the screen during MSM newscasts showing how many microseconds it had been since they were kidnapped…

  16. In_spired says:

    Great post, Angel!

Your closing touches my sense of purpose for our existence……

When the world says, “Give up,”
Hope whispers, “Try it one more time.”

    This says it all!

  17. Paul Champagne says:

It so pisses me off thet there are large elements of the world that pussy-foot around the Muzlims because they don’t want to offend them. Well what happened in our city on 9/11/2001, offends me!

  18. Freedom Now says:

The lack of accountability of our enemies and the full accountability of Democratic nations is the most damning evidence of the falseness of Leftwing and PaleoConservative activism.

If you throw in a pinch of anti-Semitism you have all the ingredients of what leftwing activists accuse our countries of, but in reality are the traits of our enemies…

    Fascism and Prejudice!!!!!!!!

Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, Al Qaeda, the Baathists and the Taliban. Are these partners in peace?

  22. Angel says:

Let us keep praying and let our voices be heard! :)

  23. KKarLmM says:

    Seriously…enough already with the prayers..
How about lighting up the skies over Lebanon and Syria with a little Nuclear fireworks.
I believe that may get a response!!!!
Thanks Angel for keeping the story alive….

  24. Incognito says:

    Yes, indeed, about bloody time.

  25. sayitlikeitis says:

Have not been online for a few days, so glad to see that Woman Honor Thyself is taking up the issue of the kidnapped soldiers. Cruelty, revengeful behaviour is the norm for Muslim society, can you believe this week Mrs Arad received a letter from her husband, Ron Arad, written in 1986, delivered by hand by the Hizbollah! They keep these soldiers barely alive to barter for more and more prisoners, and then they save their skeleton bodies to get some additional ‘goodwill gestures’. Is the world so full of falsehood that the Palestinean people are still considered the victims? They are the innovators of cruelty, suicide belts, terror attacks and razor slayings. My heart will fill with prayer on Oct 30, in their honor!!

  26. sayitlikeitis says:

BTW can I get a copy of that short video? Would want to share it with others? LMK please. cvm
