Muzlims say NO to Huck Finn

The latest politically correct attempt to feign offense over The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (which unleashes Mark Twain’s piercing wit and bitter criticism of society) is currently smoldering in North Richland Hills, Texas.

Ibr–ahim Moh–amed, a 17-year-old junior at Richland High School, claims that his teacher’s reluctance to replace the hateful word “nig-ger” on the blackboard with the “N—Word” was “cruel” and demonstrated “bad judgment.” Moh–amed was the only black student in his class. He has since been transferred to a different English class with another teacher.
Huckleberry Finn and “Mus-lim” Jim

Moh–amed’s mother (who has never read the entire text) has aligned with local black and Mus–lim leaders and claims to be outraged, too.

The mother, Ton–ya Moh–amed, wants Huck Finn banned. She also thinks teachers should have to undergo sensitivity training in order to present touchy issues. Backed by the Coa-lition to Stop the N—word, the Moh–ameds also want a written apology from the teacher. Apparently, teaching students to think critically by examining uncomfortable history fails the PC test of self-esteem. Perhaps encouraging students to feel like victims is more worthwhile.

Yea. We gotcher apology right here Mrs. (I never even read the book) Muuuuuhamad.

This is your future in Muzlim Kvetchville:

Knock knock.
Who’s there.
Oh. G’day Sir and M’am. This is yer local Thought Police. Wer’e doing our daily rounds courtesy of the local Muzlim grievance council.
Have you had any intolerant, racist, pro Zionist or Izlamo-phobic insensitive thoughts today?

Just as we suspected..Come with us. NOW. angry-punch.gif

Since the whiner’s mum didn’t even bother to read the American classic let us fill her in shall we.
Twain’s very apparent purpose was to actually promote equality by showing that humanity and inhumanity know no racial boundaries. Guess that message escaped lil Ib-rahim and mum too eh.

Who are they to censor his message and to deny that purpose.
Are they not interested in “equality” after all?..Hmmmmmmmm.

Al and Jess and all the other full time race baiters have been attacking Huck Finn and Samuel Clemens for decades because of the “N” word, but ya don’t find them censorsing Snoooooop Dog now do ya.

F.Y.I. Mrs. Muuuuhamad, Mark Twain was opposed to slavery as well as Jim Crow ,which (if you had takent the time to read it) was the entire point of the book.

But of course if the Muuhamad clan cared one lick bout the principles they espouse, they would be demanding that all blacks and Muzlims read the book, not ban it.

Funny how Muzlims never get “offended” when the likes of Chavez, Eichmandinejeehad, Vicente Fox, or Calderon insult and threaten our country and President. No demands for apologies there. No. no.

Or how bout when Christian parents beg the school’s advisors to limit sexual content, offensive language, or gratuitous violence from the reading curiculum. They get shrieked at… “First Amendment”, “First Amendment”, “First Amendment” by the PC do gooders.

While the black community and Hollywood are busy celebratin mysogynistic black rappers who use the word “n*gg*r” incessantly, I think academics should be able to justify teaching Mark Twain in the classroom dontcha think.

Somebody tell this thin-skinned Muzlim kvetcher and his mum to take a chill pill. No, on second thought, make that a case. angry22ani.gif

I get to be the first commenter on this post. YIPPEE!!!

I have to admit that I’ve never read Huck Finn. I’ve tried but I just couldn’t get through it, kinda like Harry Potter. However, what I’ve read about Huck Finn and Mark Twain is that the book was a uncompromising statement against casual, unquestioned racism by a man who, as you said Angel, opposed slavery and it’s post-Civil War incarnation, Jim Crow. No honest person can argue that today’s Black rappers say nigger in their “art” because they’re trying to make an anti-racist point. Yet they are revered and Mark Twain is reviled. No wonder our country is going to hell in a hand basket.

Now why would anyone expect a muslim to either read or understand Samuel Clemmens?

I get so sick and tired of idiots who can’t or won’t read a book. They just want to get out of an assignment. I have literally had students in the past whose parents’ were letting them have sex with their (the parents’) coworkers, but wouldn’t let them read “A Brave New World.” Help me make sense of that? Did you all take notice that it is a criticism of free love and a pleasure based society? Oops, no? Try again! I so feel your frustration.

I am sure this kid and his mom don’t realize that they now agree with two of Hitler’s to burn items list. Books and Jews. Mo-rons!

  5. heidianne jackson says:

i love mark twain. i love everything he ever wrote even when i haven’t agreed with it. i have everything he ever wrote and i read it and reread it frequently. huck finn is a book i insist all of our exchange students read when they arrive and first get embroiled in u.s. history (required by the state department for what should be obvious reasons).

most of our exchange students have understood the connotations and overtones without much (if any) help from me or my husband. english is NOT their first language. in reading about muhammed and his mum, it appears that they are from the united states – is this correct? if so, one would think that with english being their first language they would have less trouble than some foreigners “getting” it.

btw, did you see h & c today? they were talking about ‘dog, the bounty hunter’ and his “racist remarks”. dr. peterson was saying that because he’d used the n-word that dog was obviously a racist. sean kept asking him if a black person/rapper uses the n-word if they were racist. dr. peterson weasel worded around it and never answered the questions. surprising? not to me…

Take ‘In God We Trust’ out of schools=Westboro…

Once again we are confronted by the Marxist leanings of our edu-propogandist system. No wonder. It is alright to have the children mock the Muslim religion by pretending to participate in it, you must, but any mention of our national anthem? OH M ……..

  10. Always On Watch says:

    Two points:

    1. Muslims are, for the vast most part, incapable of understanding satire or any other kind of symbolism. Remember the cartoonifada? Remember how literally they take the Koran?

    2. American Muslims are aligning themselves with the civil rights movement. Never mind that Muslim is not a RACE!

  12. Mustang says:

Ms. Mo is apparently one of those people who patent ignorance is only surpassed by the level of her foolishness. Anyone who knows anything at all about Samuel Clemens will regard him as one of America’s premier humanists.

At a time when he was on the edge of financial bankruptcy, Clemens published the memoirs of Ulysses S. Grant — a penniless former president and general of the Union Army, who lay dying. Clemens refused to accept any money in payment so that Grant’s widow would have an annuity, and then he made a world tour of speaking engagements in order to pay off his creditors.

Clemens was one of America’s first truly great authors — but nothing that he ever accomplished in his life is good enough for Ms. Mo whose likely only achievement in reading is Maya Angelou’s graphic account of an early life that granted her perpetual victimhood for having been born black.

In his excellent article (linked above) Lee Culpepper said, “But since the story demonstrates how an uneducated white boy unlearns everything white society has ever taught him about blacks — thanks to a black, truly human character named Nigger Jim — wasn’t Twain’s point to offend us? If one character in the entire story seems incapable of being human it is Pap, Huck’s father. Pap is a child abuser, a drunk, a racist, and a thief.”

And now you know the rest of the story. Huckleberry Finn’s Pap was a Muslim.

  15. David says:

As a lead quote (righthand xolumn, top) on twc has said for a few months now,

“When thoughts are made criminal, only criminals will think.”

Twain’s dialogue, plotting, characterizations and imagry all spur thoughts the PC Thought Police and their low-brow minions, usefull idiots and fellow-travelers want to quell. Why should a fake (phony, pseudo, dumbass) Moose-limb family want anything different to the PC Thought Police? And why in the world would stupid libtard school administrators (whose primary purpose in life is to prevent education and churn out welfare state dependants) stand up to such things and fight for academic freedom and critical thinking?

  16. Panhandle Poet says:

I thought Muslims were pro-slavery. Perhaps Ibra-him and his Mummy were confused as to whether they should protest a perceived racial slur or should promote the “equality” of their religion. Was Ibra-Mom wearing her Burkha during her protestations? Was she speaking to men-not-her-husband?

  18. The Hermit says:

The Professional Victim syndrome emerges once again. I get really tired of hearing all this bull**** from people who faint dead away if someone uses the N word but don’t themselves have any problem with calling me a “cracker” or a “red neck.”

  19. Defiant_Infidel says:

It is not ignorance on the part of Momma Mo. Nor does she consider it foolishness. It is cold, calculated advancement of a sensed opportunity for more political ground claiming. Make no mistake here, this is another perfect example of a purposeful and deep thinking enemy seizing another gift pawn. As heidianne jackson accurately points out above, English is their FIRST language. What difficulty would be found in understanding the true meaning of the book’s story?

The ignorance is on the side of the liberal appeasers. How can it be so easy and convenient to miss the true motivations mentioned? How many of them have even read Huck Finn? Afterall, I guess you probably don’t need to read anything at all to still be able to reflexively “feel”, now do you?

Exceptional post. Another in a very, very long list… and I hope those of you who will take the time to comment here will also go vote for this deserving lady in the Weblog Awards. Our readership is surely one of her most prized fuels. We all come read her words for the same reasons… her intelligence, her observations and her steadfastness. She is an unwavering inspiration and I for one am damn glad she’s on OUR side! What’s not to love? Voting for her is such an easy way for us to say “thank you”.

    Best of luck, Angel!

    “Muzlim Kvetchville” ROTFLMAO!!!!

    Primo post, Angel.

This revisionist attitude that the left is forcing on today’s school children in the name of PC is going to result in a weaker America as the children grow to adulthood and many go into politics and law.

I’m grateful that when I was a kid in school, liberals and other leftist schmutz were still confining their attentions to universities and hadn’t yet gotten around to the first 12 grades.

If the poll were a horse race, we could say that as of this moment you’re ahead of Betsy’s Page by a length, and the two of you are way out in front of the rest of the field. :-)

  24. Brooke says:

    What a load. >:(

I remember in high school before reading this. Our teacher said the “n-word” would not be edited, and anyone who could not handle it was invited to leave.

Everyone stayed, including the black students.

  25. middleclassguy says:

A few years ago there was a book published on the origin of the offensive word. The book was published by an eminent Black scholar. He delved in to the anthropological, historical, social, and other areas of the origin of the word. The book was titled “Nigger”. It was prominently displayed on shelves of all the large chain book stores.

One is supposed to read literature to gain an appreciation of it, an appreciation of the era in which it was written, and to gain an appreciation of the language. It is also used to enhance critical thinking skills.

Do we ban Shakespeare because Shylock is so stereotypical of Jews? Do we ban literature of the Middle Ages because it is so Christian in nature? Do we ban the legends of Robin Hood, Ivanhoe, and the stories of the English pirates because they promote violence, sedition, and thievery?

What words are acceptable in a teaching and learning environment? How does one learn what is acceptable or not if one is not exposed?

When I was in high school, we were encouraged to not only read a wide variety of books, but we were encouraged to offer critical analysis. Part of that is reading something about the author.

Education is about indoctrination and learning, critical thinking, and intellectual discussion are out the door.

  26. Dr.D says:

Just another muzzy trying to make trouble! If they don’t want to read Huck Finn, that’s fine; they can move over to Saudi Arabia. They will be happier there and so will we. There is nothing at all legitimate in this complaint; it is just a desire to claim to be offended when there is no offense. We should have the good sense to tell them to buzz off and certainly not give in to political correctness in any way!

  27. KKarLlmMm says:

Sorry for the looooonnnnnngggggg comment..but it was worth it….
i sincerely believe this is the REAL reason behind hatred of the Hebrews(jews) and Mark Twain… go boy!!!!!!

    The Essay
“If the statistics are right, the Jews constitute but one percent of the human race. It suggests a nebulous dim puff of star dust lost in the blaze of the Milky Way. Properly the Jew ought hardly to be heard of, but he is heard of, has always been heard of. He is as prominent on the planet as any other people, and his commercial importance is extravagantly out of proportion to the smallness of his bulk. His contributions to the world’s list of great names in literature, science, art, music, finance, medicine, and abstruse learning are also away out of proportion to the weakness of his numbers. He has made a marvellous fight in the world, in all the ages; and has done it with his hands tied behind him. He could be vain of himself, and be excused for it. The Egyptian, the Babylonian, and the Persian rose, filled the planet with sound and splendor, then faded to dream-stuff and passed away; the Greek and the Roman followed, and made a vast noise, and they are gone; other peoples have sprung up and held their torch high for a time, but it burned out, and they sit in twilight now, or have vanished. The Jew saw them all, beat them all, and is now what he always was, exhibiting no decadence, no infirmities of age, no weakening of his parts, no slowing of his energies, no dulling of his alert and aggressive mind. All things are mortal but the Jew; all other forces pass, but he remains. What is the secret of his immortality?”
