U don havta’ speak no propa English! Speak ebonics, yo!

Put simply, racism is the main reason why whites refuse to criticize the obvious absurdity of Ebonics.

Put simply, laziness is the main reason why blacks refuse to criticize the obvious absurdity of Ebonics.

Years ago, in my department, there was a black secretary who simply could not write coherent letters. Of course, as a secretary she would have to write letters to parents, job applicants, and others – all on official university stationery. There were so many misspellings and other grammatical errors in her letters that we had to eventually try to get rid of her. We simply had no use for a semi-literate secretary.

But trying to fire a black secretary is about a hard as getting a gay activist to admit that impersonal sodomy contributes to the spread of AIDS. In fact, come to think of it, the Gay Plague of the 1980s and the Ebonic Plague of the 1990s both relied on enablers masquerading as civil rights leaders. But that’s probably another column altogether.

Our department’s lone enabler of the semi-literate secretary happened to be a white social worker. When asked how he could justify keeping the secretary on our staff he said that her grammar was simply a reflection of her culture and, hence, should not be used against her in making an employment decision.
Ebonic Plague: The New Black Death

In other words, she couldn’t do any better because she was black. Or, perhaps, the “liberal” social worker was thinking “That’s just how those people talk.”

Shhhh. Whites are not allowed to criticize anything from ahem..Black..”culture.” blackani1q.gif

Plim-plizzle, my nizzle, don’ foget bouts tha six-fo, chuch, dawg up in da hood, chilly my grilly. fo sho.
Where’s Bill Cosby when ya need him?

Cosby, Saying the Darndest Things

“They’re standing on the corner and they can’t speak English,” he exclaimed. “I can’t even talk the way these people talk: ‘Why you ain’t,’ ‘Where you is’ . . . And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk. And then I heard the father talk. . . . Everybody knows it’s important to speak English except these knuckleheads. . . . You can’t be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth!”

A poor excuse for a failure to grasp the basics of english. When in doubt, throw an “izzle” sound in the middle of any word of just string random thoughts together and insinuate that they actually mean something. When backed into a corner, you can always claim that it has something to do with a sort of symbolism or is a defining trait that makes your race great, versus own up to the fact that it is essentially laziness at it’s finest.

“Keepin’ it real,” you know.
Don’t you dare betray your race by speaking like honky or whitey. And whatever ya do………don’t be caught gettin educated, or workin too much. How “white.”

Is Ebonics yet another social statement against “Da Man”?
Is speaking proper English “acting too white” or being an “Uncle Tom” …because if it is…….it is not only idiotic, it is an act of racism.

Generations of the black race falling to the bottom of the economic and cultural landscape has been nothing short of a disaster for American blacks.

But Heaven forfend a white person accuse race baiters such Jesse the “Jew hater Hymietown” Jackson or Al (Not so) Sharp-ton of playing “the blame game”..all hell breaks loose.

Criticize misogynistic rap…….your’e Racist.
Criticize thugs in the not so holy “Jena 6″….Your’e racist.
Demand students to speak “English”, not “Ebonics”….you guessed it.

Expose the upcoming, faux holiday of Kwanzaa, which incidentally was invented by an anti-Chrsitian, anti-American, anti-white, woman torturing felon..(but I digress)…….ooooooooooh Lawd help you!

Call us Negroes.
No. Don’t.
Call us Blacks.
No. Don’t.
Call us African Americans.

Ahem…Which African country did the youth in America, or even their grandparents emigrate from?
They are no more African-American than you or I am.

If the black racists choose to convince all of blackdom to adopt ebonics and walk around speaking like illiterate fools, they had better not be the same ones whinin and moanin that their kids “just can’t seem to get a good job.”

Guess what… I wouldn’t hire a white kid who show up dressed like and speaking like an ignorant thug either. Aiight?

If someone chooses to answer an ad for a position at a company, dressed like a clown or pi-mp, wearing clothes 3 sizes too big, pants down at their ankles and their underwear showing of course…and to top it off a hat twisted around at an angle or backwards, I don’t know about you, but most people I know wouldn’t even wait for them to open their mouths.

And spare me the “racism” charge.
If gang ba-nger suits are “cultural”, ya best re-examine your culture dude.

Clear speech is the mark of a clear thinker.

Ever talk to someone who studied at the Snoop Dog Skool of English?
Ax Me About Ebonics

G’head, ax for a “schizzle” yo nizzle afro9.gif.. instead of a “scalpel” during the next mass liberal lobotomy. See how many leftards survive.
Come to think of it…Never mind…ha.

Enabling minorities with nothing but low expectations and achievements which were never truly earned is worse than a cruel joke. By preventing them from ultimately learning how to function in society they will continue to be failures and beholden to “Da Man”.

They will forever be slaves. That’s what liberals do for “urban youth.”

Affirmative action, and quotas, or any other “special needs” set aside for a group or race is insulting and humiliating. Allow blacks to compete like everyone else. Stop assuming they can’t.

Libtard government enablers have done more harm with their never ending “programs” and “welfare” to the black community than the entire history of white oppression.

The language of the gangstas and negroes.

Ebonics: “Yo G, you frontin me?”
English: “Excuse me, my peer, are you attempting to influence me to engage in a violent action with you?”

“You gots to git those Benjamins so you cin git dat bling-bling fo yo ride”
English: “You need to get money so that you can get expensive accessories for your car.”

A “variation” of English entirely made up of slang and southern word shortenings. It is generally spoken in the “hood” (neighborhood) and has almost no defined syntactical structure. Also of note is the almost complete lack of conjugation of verbs (“I be”, “she be”, “thems be”, etc) and the mixing of pronouns. When spoken in any educated circles, its usage usually screams “I am illiterate.”

Jive/Ebonics: “Sheeeeiit, foo, I’z be doin’ dat sh*t an’ shorty be axin me fo’ sum’ scrilla.”
English: Sh*t, friend, I am doing that stuff, and my girlfriend is asking me for some money.

Yo dawgs, holla at me if yo got any comments aiight?

I think the solution for the illiterate secretary would have been simple. She was working at an educational institute … tell her her grammer was unacceptable, and that you were going to help her by enrolling her in an English class. If she refused, or flunked, any EEOC complaint could have been countered with the fact that the University went above and beyond in trying to help this worker.

    Hi Angel,
The word “axe” makes me so mad!!!!
My husband has a local politician friend. He is Black.he was not re-elected in the local elections this year and I was wondering why because the city he ran in was 80% black. My husband said that he is considered an “Uncle Tom” because he was one of the first elected Black officials a long time ago and he was good friends with white city officials.
He is a good man and he is a good leader ,too bad he is not recognised for that

  3. Debbie says:

Gotta love Cosby. Axe is a word that we all make fun of when we hear people say it. Ebonics to me makes people look uneducated.

  4. Perri Nelson says:

Don’t forget Angel, only WHITE people can be racist, at least according to the Seattle School District.

    :) Good one Angel.

If you look at the outcome of leftist policy, you’ll know they are the real racists, unless you’re already some sort of leftist that is.

  7. Kevin says:

That’s not ‘black culture’, it’s inner city failure.

    Angel, Happy Hanukkah my friend!

For all non-Jewish people trying to pronounce ‘Hanukkah’, remember, the second k is silent.

Good post…..Cosby has been on the “education is your best bet” for many years. Of course he’s right…..stay well……

Here in Sweden we have something called “Rinkeby- Svenska”. It’s a mix of Swedish, Turkish, spanish and Arabic. It’s totally incomprehensible. The really bad thing is that many “youths” is using it in written language too. The really, relly bad thing is that many Swedish kids also is using it in spoken aswell as in written language.

I used to have a small buissness. And if a kid would walk in looking for a job, talking or writing like that- well let’s just say that I believe that they are still on wellfare…

I peep that sweet jive your speakin’ and I’m definitely bout-it, bout-it. But why a butter shorty like yoself gotta be all political and sh*t. Can’t ya just jiggle your stizuff in a Jay-Z video? HA!

  12. Defiant_Infidel says:

WOW! You got larger testes than most men I know, girl! Talk about venturing off the smooth pavement into the rough offroad… THAT is some truly perilous social territory. And of course I couldn’t agree with you more vehemently.

‘Ebonics’ in a thin, transparent veil for ignorance… and thus a permission ticket. Your exposure of the foundationless ‘arguments’ (poor excuses) for its’ existence and encouragement is strategic and surgical.

And furthermore, white or black, every time I see some smarta** punk with his ballcap on sideways or a** end to, I have to consciously resist the overwhelming urge to slap it right off his little pin head!

    Helluva job, Hot Rod!

  13. Daniel Ruwe says:

    Good post, Angel.

  14. middleclassguy says:

The obituary for Kanye West’s mother, an educator, stated that she was in the rocess if introducingthe use of rap lyrics into English classes to help improve the use of the language. The battle is not over yet.

The pathetic thing, and the real issue is, supposedly highly educated people in education business actually take this nonsense seriously enough to even consider it. These are the people who run ou school systems and they are even on the Fedral level.

  15. Mustang says:

What you have described is a learned and prevalent behavior predicated on the idea that other gang-members, and those others in the neighborhood who are without laudable aspirations, are the peers of choice. There is no desire to climb out of their beginnings — and why should they? There are fifteen-year-old punks who are making more money selling dope than the average businessman with a master’s degree in financial management. Where is the incentive to become part of the American mainstream? Like most teenagers, the gangsta doesn’t think about ten or twenty years from the present, and even if he ends up in prison, it will look good on his resume for later on. Dr. Cosby is correct, but his message is unpopular — even if irrefutable, and so no one is listening.

These people are not ashamed by their present behavior, especially since leaders of the black community aid and abet what is happening. I submit that no one can even understand what Al Sharpton is talking about half the time, or Jesse Jackson. Ebonics, like “new math” is just another GREAT idea by black modernists supported by America’s educationalists — and only one of many past GREAT ideas that ensure young Americans fail, and whose failure will generate even GREATER concern by social liberals that something must be done. You know — like giving eleven-year-olds birth control pills, high school students clean needles, and of course, holistic grading.

Meanwhile, vast numbers of American kids of all racial and ethnic backgrounds are signing up for this trash — this angry poetry that no one can understand, called “rap.” If you don’t speak Ebonics, you’ll never understand what these filthy lyrics are saying — or what they mean for the future of our society.

  16. Joe Gringo says:

This is a funny and sad and a great post. I respect Bill Cosby for what he is doing. You are right, racism really only pertains to whites.

This ebonics crap is a total joke, there is slang in just about every language yet do these languages incorporate this slang into proper use? Hell no, ebonnics is just more liberal BS

  17. Rastaman says:

“Ebonics” sounds like something you put inside a light bulb or cell phone, or else a plague we’re trying to find a cure for. The latter is the most likely.

Ebonics is a negro gutter patois. It’s affected, not natural or ethnic or an area accent, like a Brooklyn accent. Blacks go out of their way to learn to speak poorly so they don’t sound like white people. That’s the whole point of it and I’ve heard many blacks say that right out. They do it so they don’t sound like white people.

You want racism? Now, THAT is racism.

  18. Brooke says:

Oh, Angel, ain’t it the truth, yo?

You always call it just like it is, regardless of PC nonsense.

  19. MariesTwoCents says:

Upbringing, It’s all in the upbringing.

They hear their parents talk like that and they pick it up.

Bill Cosby is a wise man. I wish more people paid attention to him.

  20. Aurora says:

Angel, this is the first time I’ve ever heard the word ‘Ebonics’ much less heard anyone talk about it. That’s a very interesting and blunt post on a really tragic and frustrating situation. No wonder those black kids can’t get out of the rut. They’ve been encouraged to believe by their liberal enablers that bettering themselves would be shameful and disloyal to their culture.

  21. nanc says:

if they wish to be set apart from the thinking world, let’em, but i’d never hire a person who could not string six words together to make a coherent sentence no matter what persuasion.

if they want to be kept down by the brutha then they should continue acting like common thugs.

yo-yo = a wonderful toy with a string attached at its axis and if flung properly, will come back to you.

and contrary to what they believe, a bitch is not something men lie with.

  22. in2thefray says:

Good post Angel. It kills me how the people that speak out against this (especially the blacks) get hammered by the Left and the ghetto apologists. Cosby’s latest is about number three on my reading list of books I need to get to. Take care

  23. cube says:

Judging by what they celebrate, black culture is brain dead. Honestly, they cripple themselves educationally, then complain when they don’t get high paying jobs. Bill Cosby is right, but they don’t want to listen.

  24. Sunflower Desert says:

    Hi Angel,
Great post! There are a couple of NFL commentators who are always wanting to axe someone a question. It truly cracks me up, though I thought it was some sort of speech impediment and felt a little guilty for making fun of them. Of course, I still made fun, cuz that’s just my nature. ;)

Anyway, I’m always funning my hubby by saying, “Let me axe you something”. I have him doing the same thing now. I guess we’re just mean that way! :)

Also, I want to axe you to continue posting such great content. :) Okay — I’d better run. Have a great one!

  26. OMMAG says:

Every step of the way along the path that the Leftards want to follow there is another degradation that the lazy and dishonest in society willingly accept.

Recalling my rant about the Feminists you might see how things like acceptance of the butchery of language leads to the encouragement of that same failing.
Next is the official elimination of standards for language.

Once on the slippery slope of irrational accommodation for flawed ideologies there is little chance of turning back.

There are consequences to lowering standards.

    tru dat!
    I mean, good post.

I fear that the ‘soft ‘ bigotry of low expectations , and mind numbing political correctness will be the end of us.
No one dare ‘offend’ anyone- unles they are white, straight, male, Christian, employed, or some combination thereof.

God help us, it IS possible for someone to be in a minority group and still be wrong. Let’s speak the truth (which makes us free) seasoned with charity and civility, and let’s NOT teach our kids by example that they should expect to live their lives without ever, EVER hearing something that challenges or offends them.

Often wrong, mostly kind, and hopefully ever truthful,
( Q: Why does Snoop Dogg carry an umbrella ??? )

i don’t believe it is to exclude the white man, but to subjugate him. think about it. our youths, regardless of color, are dressing and speaking and acting like the worst of the gangbangers and rappers. they have hi-jacked the responsible parents’ role and taken over the kids’ eductions. it sickens me. it affects boys more than girls, at least outside of the black culture, but it’s still sickening to me.

oh, and btw, the real africans HATE that american blacks are trying to co-opt the heritage by calling themselves african americans. we deal with exchange students through an exchange organization that places kids here and abroad from all over the world. as i understand it, black people who sign up to host here in the states always want a black child from africa – only problem is that the black africans who come over always specify that they don’t want to stay with an america black family. if they’re hosting in africa? yep, they don’t want a black child.

seems they don’t like the culture of blacks in our country.

I have a tremendous respect for someone here that comes from North Portland where there is gunfire every night, yet still speak clearly, they look respectable, (not with their pants around their knees), and they act respectful. Great post, Angel…thanks for being fearless to talk about touchy social issues!
