Angel in NYC on New Years!..Well..sorta

The 100th anniversary of the Times Square ball drop!
Guess who was among the million revelers gathered at Times Square to greet the New Year?![]()

Well, make that “near” Times Square. heh.
“Biff” and I tried to be among the wild revelers watching that extra-bright crystal ball, weighing almost 500 kg, come sliding down the 23.5-meter flagpole at midnight.

This year a brand spankin new “energy-efficient” sphere decked out in Waterford crystals, with 9,576 light-emitting diodes generated a stunning kaleidoscope of colors.
But alas………….this is New York City.
Tooooooo many people, not enough room.
Guess what side of the baracade we ended up on?..ha

Gotsta be there 10 hours in advance and um……The very few public restrooms were closed by the afternoon. That “challenge” can be quite um.. daunting to say the least. Heh. ![]()

S’ok. We walked the perimiter and joined all the crazies.

A sea of people waving glowing wands, sporting gold metallic hats, and wearing sun glasses that spelled out 2008. Wo0t!

Ezra…
Ezra is the fifteenth book in the Old Testament of the Bible, and it has had a very powerful impact on me. What I am about to share with you may be completely wrong (and if so, please correct me!), but this is what I came to understand from readi ……..

Looked at that sea of partiers last night at the top of the clock, turned to the whiff and said, “I’ll bet you big bucks that Angel and the SuperHusband are right in the thick of that!”
I’m headed out to plow around the second, foot deep scoop of fresh snow we have received in two days, but I will enjoy telling her in the morning that I was right… just knew you were there, Hot Rod.
Glad you got out, lookin’ like a million $$$ plus, as always…

ooo, I never thought about the bathroom thing. That could get uncomfortable. We watched the ball drop and the kid jump a football field. I thought his wife was going to tatoo him with a pair of brass knuckles after the second
