NY Giants SuperBowl Parade!

NEW YORK — With a snowstorm of confetti and paper raining down from skyscrapers, Michael Strahan cradled the Super Bowl trophy like a baby Tuesday as thousands of New York Giants fans celebrated on Manhattan’s streets and saluted their improbable champions.
The parade began at the tip of lower Manhattan in Battery Park and proceeded north on Broadway, going past the financial district and the site of the World Trade Center before a finale at City Hall Park.
Super Bowl Parade: Pride, Joy and a Day Off From Work
The stretch is known as the “Canyon of Heroes,” where ticker-tape parades have celebrated everything from Charles Lindbergh’s Atlantic flight to sports championships. The last parade was in 2000, when the Yankees won the World Series.

One of my good buddies MK reminded me that I haven’t even celebrated with y’all.
How right he is!

Football is, after all, a wonderful way to get rid of your aggressions without going to jail for it.
Heywood Hale Brown

Most football players are temperamental. That’s 90 percent temper and 10 percent mental.

Thanksgiving dinners take eighteen hours to prepare. They are consumed in twelve minutes. Half-times take twelve minutes. This is not coincidence.

The reason women don’t play football is because eleven of them would never wear the same outfit in public. Phyllis Diller

To all my sweet Patriots fans …..C’mon ..Join us here in NYC…..Celebrate good times come on!..Put on yer Bbboogie Shoes~!

There are several differences between a football game and a revolution. For one thing, a football game usually lasts longer and the participants wear uniforms. Also, there are usually more casualties in a football game. The object of the game is to move a ball past the other team’s goal line. This counts as six points. No points are given for lacerations, contusions, or abrasions, but then no points are deducted, either. Kicking is very important in football. In fact, some of the more enthusiastic players even kick the ball, occasionally.

Congrads NY Giants!!

I would say someone is extremely psyched about the Giants victory! Congrats. it was a VERY good game that I enjoyed immensely even though I’m not a true Giants fan.

I think I pulled for the Giants because of Manning, and they were the underdogs taking on the evil Patriot cheating machine!
    Blessings

You can’t even imagine how hard those boys hit. I played in a Arena Football League, much like a softball league except, well for Arena Football, it was the only one in the states at the time……..I tore my ACL in the first game and missed the rest of the season…… thank God, every play there was pain!

Congrats to the NY Giants, that was one hell of a season, finishing up the season 11-1 on the road is an amazing feat!

It’s ok: calm down fellars! The Giants win was a one-time thang. They’ll be waiting for another Superbowl for another 20 years in the Big Apple whereas Boston’s got one coming right up next season. But I have to admit, that was an amazing game and the Giants were the better team.
