Sderot: 15 SecondS

Los Angeles to hold benefits for Qassam-battered city featuring host of Hollywood stars including Sylvester Stallone, Paula Abdul, and Jon Voight

City of Angels for Sderot

The concert, entitled “Live for Sderot”, which will include a performance by Israeli singer Ninet Tayeb and will be attended by Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, will also launch the celebrations of the State of Israel’s 60th anniversary in the city.

Guests of honor at this special concert will be a delegation of 10 teenagers from Sderot which were flown to visit Los Angeles and share their experiences of life in Sderot with local American youths.
Israeli Leadership Club (ILC) Chairman, Eli Tene, surprised each of the teens with $100 in spending money and a new iPod. The teens were also treated to a tour of the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame, as well as to dinner with Ninet Tayeb and Consul General of Israel in Los Angeles Jacob Dayan.

Boooooooyah!
Betcha we could make a list of Hollywood “stars and starlets” that won’t be there eh?

Thank you Hollywood stars -the few and the brave who will stand up for the true victims of the world.love2.gif

Sderot:

One moment beautiful innocent children, like yours and mine are playing…

They hear “the siren”.

They now have exactly 15 seconds to run for shelter….15 seconds to save their own little lives.

Little ones are taught to count down from 10 or to sing very loudly, so as not to hear the rockets exploding all around them.

The sound of mothers’ wailing and shrieking………

Yet Israel does not invade the Gaza Strip from where these deadly rockets are launched at her children.
The IDF is the most moral army on this planet.
Their restraint is unfathomable to the likes of me.

This is the Izlamic Jeehad my friends…….Up close and personal.

If they and the Liberal Dhiimicrats have their way…….

Coming to a Town Near You…

Must be hell living with constant terror as they oft do in Sderot. The short video unsettled me Angel…thanks for posting this and thanks also to the organizers and participants of “Live for Sderot”…”The IDF is the most moral army on this planet, their restraint is unfathomable” !! Listen up folks…

“The IDF is the most moral army on this planet.”

I take exception to that. Despite the problems we have had in the War on Terror (and to a VERY large extent, they are Bush’s & Cheney’s fault), and despite the problems we had in Vietnam and in the Indian wars, the US military has the well-deserved reputation of being the BEST when it comes to dealing humanely and even nicely with civilian populations — including “enemy” civilian populations — and with captives.

Again, the current problems that exist are because of Bush and Cheney — two guys whose military records speak for themselves.

The US military is the most moral on the planet.

The IDF may be in second place — that I don’t know.

    Indeed they are Angel.

“Their restraint is unfathomable to the likes of me.”

It’s the stupidity of their political leadership that’s beyond me, particularly the bit where they have to be shamed into protecting their citizens.

I do not know about others…
but…if i was to have a foreign/evil/terrorist force living in my backyard firing missles and rockets at my home, family & children…
    the solution would be simple…
Mushroom cloud!!!!!!! (see Hiroshima, Japan.. August 6, 1945)

    God bless Israel.
I thought you were kidding with your introduction, “City of Angels for Sderot”; nearly fell over when found it to be genuine.
And God bless these Hollywood celebrities, each and every one :)
There is hope, as long as people with a love for truth live.

    Great blog :)

The tragic truth about the qassam rockets though, is that Israelis have less than 15 seconds to seek shelter.
The Sderot children hit recently were struck as they ran for shelter.

wow… this is heavy stuff Woman…. I gotta come back to this since I have not wrapped my frontal lobe towards an opinion yet…. but well done!

  10. Uncle Joe says:

Just how many Americans would demand that the U.S. government respond to missile attacks the way too many demand that Israel respond (or not respond) if they were coming from Canada or Mexico and landing into people’s houses, backyards, playgrounds, and work places?

The act of firing those missiles fired into civilian areas for the sole purpose of killing as many civilians as possible is a crime against humanity and the world should be outraged over it.

  11. Angie says:

Good for those stars. I have more respect for these particuar ones now. I wonder if they will have any repercussions for their support.

I do not know how they are so patient. The Israeli soldiers have used more restraint than I would.

Thank you for sharing this excellent post Angel.

I can’t agree with the IDF comment. I think they are made up of many fine men and women who have had a hard go but they are human. I would also say that the children of Gaza are victims. It would be great if someone could get a bunch of buses and deliver them from the grown ups that set them up for pictures like you have here. On the subject of pictures the images are a great selection. They tell a story people need to know.

  16. benning says:

Israel get’s bombarded by rockets daily and the MSM blames them. That’s all you need to know about modern journalism. G_D bless ‘em in Israel!

  17. Aurora says:

Angel, I’m with Angie about those celebs. It’s nice to know there are a scant handful of somewhat decent ones who don’t feel the need to go with the status quo on everything.
Great roundup of pics there. Those faces say a thousand words.
I’m with you on your sentiments about the IDF, though the American and Australian military are also way up there as well. I saw an excellent post yesterday on the Aussie special services guys, commended by both the Israeli and American defense ministers. I think we can agree that all the military out there risking their lives and fighting against terrorism are outstanding human beings.

I’ve got to disagree. Although the IDF soldiers are NO DOUBT EXTREMELY HONORABLE, their politician commanders are dhimmis and amoral to allow these massacres to go unanswered.

The IDF would strike back if the bit were out of their mouth, IMO.

  19. Gayle says:

Dang Angel! They’re doing something usefull in Los Angeles? WOW! I’m truly surprised. Yes, we do know a lot of them who won’t be there. I could start naming them here but I’m pretty busy and it would take too long.

  20. Bar Kochba says:

Angel, Israel’s restraint is perverted morality. It is not born of Jewish values but twisted Western liberal values. We must follow the words of Midrash of Tanchuma: “When you go to war against your enemies, fight them like enmies. Just as they would have no mercy on you, have no mercy on them.”

  21. HannahJ says:

Wow…what telling photos you’ve assembled! The contrast between the good you-know-whos and the bad ‘uns is so great that photos almost don’t quite show it enough. But you’ve come as close as it gets. :)

Sderot affects us all. The Click to Care Campaign unites all the organizations, non-profits and people that support Sderot.

I think it is vital to show our support in every way, when it comes to Sderot. We can make a difference just by watching the video and passing it on, volunteering, donating, writing about it, and informing friends and family.

The above link has information to help you achieve all that! And, by passing around this movie we are sending a message around the world!
