PassoveR: FreedoM to All

Passover is one of the most important religious festivals in the Jewish calendar. Jews celebrate the Feast of Passover (Pesach in Hebrew) to commemorate the liberation of the Children of Israel who were led out of Egypt by Moses.

Jews have celebrated Passover since about 1300 BC, following the rules laid down by God in Exodus 13.

It’s all about Freedom guys and dolls. That, and of course……..the Food. heh

How timely sweet friends..when our precious Freedom is precisely what we are all fighting for.bitelip.gif

Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves.

I offer as a tribute of Praise and as a prayer for this special occassion:

“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.”

We usually honor the Jewish tradition of Passover by holding a Passover dinner at our church, Angel. This is the first time I can remember when we haven’t done so. This is why I’m beginning to wonder about our new Priest! :(
