Doozie of the DaY: AbaYA Fashion ShoW

Today’s Doozies:
Lines that ought to be jokes..but are dead serious.

Angel’s first prize goes to:
Virginia Commonwealth University fashion students.

Here’s his little “gem”:
“Hopefully, if nothing else, those 20 people in my class have gained a more neutral approach to what goes on in the world,” Guthrie said. “Just because the women wear this doesn’t mean they’re oppressed.”

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — The assignment for Virginia Commonwealth University fashion students: design an abaya, an enveloping cloak worn by Muslim women, that is stylish yet acceptable in Arab countries.

The results: elaborately beaded designs, a flamenco-influenced abaya, a punk rock abaya — and perhaps a better understanding of cultural norms in the Persian Gulf nation of Qatar, where the university has had a campus for 10 years.

Fashion students at Va. university design abayas

However, in Saudi Arabia, which follows strict Islamic codes, officials warn that women should not wear unapproved abayas — including those with ornamentation.

“Just because the women wear this doesn’t mean they’re oppressed.” ?..Ha.

Just like any other Fashion Show eh?

Talk bout context huh.

Maybe they got the idea from Michael Jackson.
Here he is hiding from the Press wearing his.

Muzlim Misogyny is celebrated my dears.
That’s right. Celebrated.

Where to start?

-Legitimized beatings, abuse and “HONOR” killings:

Qur–an 4:34, the Mus-lim holy book’s notorious verse commanding the beating of disobedient women..
There Must Be Violence Against Women

Raped, tortured and slaughtered by their father.

Fathers are responsible for their daughters’ behavior, but human rights organizations deny this too. Brothers also should take action regarding their sisters’ behavior, especially if their parents are too old or dead. If a daughter or sister makes a mistake – especially a moral one – that negatively affects the entire family and its reputation.

-Genital Mutilation:

The “instruments”: Note the absence of anesthesia.

KABUL, Afghanistan – When asked about her engagement party this summer, little Su-nam glanced blankly at her family, then fiddled with her gold-sequined engagement outfit _ a speechless response not out of shyness, but because she does not yet talk much. Su-nam is 3.

Read it and Weep

-Forced Marriages for Women and Children:

It’s a well-kept secret in Pakistani homes across the city: Young women violently forced to return to their homeland for arranged marriages.
Parents force daughters to fly home to Pakistan for arranged marriages

“Eighty percent of the community has this problem” in New York, said Bazah Roohi of the Asian American Network Against Abuse of Human Rights (ANAA). “Women don’t have their own choice.

“They try to fight. They are unsuccessful. Parents are very strict. They just beat them and take them to Pakistan.

In Pakistan, it would not have been a crime if her father pulled the trigger, but an “honor killing.”

No compulsion? Ha.
Yea. Try takin it off. Better yet, try to convert.

You won’t need it anymore cuz you won’t have a head left to cover.

Izlam is a fundamentalistic, fascistic, totalitarian, and expansionistic ideology.
Ther’s nothing warm and fuzzy about it.

It it unashamedly averse and hostile to modernity, democracy, and freedom and rights for women. Read the Ko–ran. Better yet : Watch “Fitna”… before you call that generalizing.
In Izlamic societies, laws and punishments are based on controlling women.

Segregation, restrictions on travel, and coercing them to conform to the restrictive dress code. Not offering the “option.”

A girl taking off a headscarf is a challenge to their whole theocratic. thugish, terrorist State.

Note the torture, and subsequent slaughter of young girls throughout the Muzlim world: DAILY.
Girl, 17, killed in Iraq for loving a British soldier

A 17-year-old Iraqi girl was murdered by her father in an honour killing after falling in love with a British soldier she met while working on an aid programme in Basra, it has been claimed.

Women in Izlam are ascribed no Human Rights…You know those rights that are based on natural rights, which any adult human being capable of choice should have.

There is no separation of state and religion in Izlam; – hence any criticism of one is clearly seen as a criticism of the other.

Justification from the Ko–ran:

4.34. Men are in charge of women, because All-ah hath made the one of them to excel the other, and because they spend of their property (for the support of women). So good women are the obedient, guarding in secret that which All-ah hath guarded. As for those from whom ye fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart; and scourge (beat) them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them Lo! Al-lah is ever High Exalted, Great.

The Plight of Women UNDER Izlam:

Rules that keep women in their Muh-am-mad stipulated place:

* If a Mu-slim woman is murdered, her beneficiary is entitled to one-half dyyeh-blood money, or compensation-as that of a murdered Mu-slim male.

* A woman’s testimony in the court of law is worth one-half that of a man.

* A woman must provide four witnesses to substantiate her claim of being raped.

* A man can divorce his wife by simply saying to her, “I divorce you,” three times.

* A divorced woman is entitled to a miserly compensation and automatically forfeits her rights to her children.

* Women are barred from the lucrative and powerful cast of clergy.

* Husbands are entitled to punish their wives corporally.

* Men are allowed to have four wives at any one time and as many concubines as they desire and can afford.

* Sau-di Ar-abia, the custodian of “true Is-lam” imposes a raft of restrictions on women such as: women are not allowed to drive; they are not permitted to leave the country without accompaniment or explicit permission of their male kin; they are barred from most government jobs and much much more.

* Among other Mus-lims, such as the Ta-liban and the Pas-htoon of Afghanistan-Pakistan region, women are barred from education and not even allowed to leave the house unless accompanied by a male kin.

* Since education, particularly professional education is often denied to women in many Is-lamic societies. There is scarcity of women physicians and male doctors are often forbidden to treat women patients.
Islam’s Apartheid

But G’head Virginia Commonwealth University fashion students….celebrate the “cloak” why don’t ya.

But whatever ya do……..Don’t peek under that veil.
No doubt, you will find a veil of blood, rage, scars and tears.

If you look under the burka you will find a battered, abused woman. What fears Islam is a woman thinking for herself. Thus the abuse of women. It is acceptable to murder, rape and beat a woman. After all, she asked for it. It is their (men’s) right to do it.

The burka and veil should be banned worldwide!

  2. Rosemary's Thoughts says:

    News dump…

At this point I am too overwhelmed with news e-mails, so I am going to just put them all right here so you can choose which ones interest you. Sorry I didn’t have the time to write about each one, but I’m only human!…

  3. Rosemary says:

No matter how much despair I feel at times, I will NEVER give up my fight for these women and against this cultic political excuse for a supposed religion. They have no one else but us to fight for them, and fight we shall do. Forget about NOW. They are only interested in abortions. Commies. How could they just sit by? *sigh* Great post, Angel. Don’t ever tire.

  4. Mustang says:

Islam requires a male-dominated society; the only way Muslim men can underscore their importance in that framework is to horribly abuse women and children. We should not be surprised because Muslim men routinely attack (for jihad, of course) the weak, the innocent, and the undefended.

Maybe if women agreed to wear a chastity belt, they could dress normally when living within Western society? Nahhh.

  5. Z says:

FANTASTIC last line, Angel. What a post! you are SO right.

  6. Debbie says:

So sad Angel: “because the women wear this doesn’t mean they’re oppressed.” Yeah, they just keep saying that and believing it.

That Barbie is really pathetic. And where are the women-libbers? Not interested in the Muslim women

  7. Incognito says:

truly puke-worthy…. over my dead body!!

  8. MK says:

It’s not so much that the progressive scum don’t get it Angel, they WON’T.

I’ve never encountered a more selfish, disgusting parasite like today’s leftist. Only when the jihadist blade is against their throat or when the stones are hitting their faces, will they finally get it. But because it’s not happening in front of them or to someone else, there must be some excuse for it, nothing to see folks, move along now.

We shouldn’t be surprised though, even after communism killed close to a 100 million people they still want to give some form of the same evil ideology a chance.

  9. Jason says:

Who is possibly looking at this and saying “yeah, sign me up!” ??? Why are the leftards so blind to what is happening? They would call these people peaceful and cultural and call you or I intolerant.

  10. Angie says:

This is so appalling..where in the world are those who would stand up for these truly oppressed mistreated abused women and girls? Where are the leftie human rights activists? where is the Now organization? Where are they all indeed?

Our Universities are going to H*ll in a hand basket. These are barbarians that do not belong to the human race..where is the outrage?

Loved your last line Angel. You are so right!

  11. Yankee Doodle says:

    Hijab is a choice.

    Abortion is a choice.

    Euthanasia is a choice.

And the Holocaust was a choice – all the Slavs, Gypsies, Jews, and others didn’t have to go along with it.

    >>

(Because that’s where all of this is leading…)

  12. Aurora says:

Angel, it’s just too hard to read. It kind of chokes me up. I can’t imagine what it must be like to live under it.

  13. Brooke says:

    Excellent, excellent rant, Angel.

Hijab is a choice? Try taking it off!

    FANTASTIC!!! It says it all!

  14. Muslims Against Sharia says:

The STOP HONORCIDE! campaign was launched on Mother’s Day 2008. The goal of the campaign is to prosecute honorcides to the fullest extent of the law. We want honorcide to be classified as a hate crime and we advocate for every existing hate crime legislation to be amended to include honorcide.

  15. ERS says:

I would like to see the global community do for the women of the world what was done for blacks in South Africa during apartheid (e.g., boycott companies doing business with these regimes, reduce aid to such countries by meaningful amounts, basically hit them in the pocketbooks).
