Army Specialist James Fair: Enjoy your new HomE

Army Specialist James Fair was blinded and left without hands after a roadside bomb sent shrapnel through his body in Fallujah in November 2003.

Now, Fair has a new high-tech home to call his own in Ross Township.

Homes For Our Troops, Duquesne Light and volunteers worked for a year and a half to provide Fair with a renovated home that has the latest in cutting-edge technology.

Injured Soldier Receives High-Tech Home
The house has voice activation and proximity readers.

For example, Fair will be able to walk into a shower room and say “Start shower” and it will happen.
When he approaches a door, a censor will automatically recognize it’s him and activate the door to open and close.

James and his family:

James, We love and honor you and our military for so so many reasons.
Our troops, unlike so many “intentionally” blind, see a distinct line between good and evil.

Our soldiers view themselves, not as helpless victims, but rather as servants of this glorious Nation.

You are not allergic to hard work, self-discipline, and above all: personal responsibility.

Semper Fi James.
Thank you for the sacrifice you made……..for me. For us.
Be blessed in your new home. You deserve that and so much more.

Some of us do know that Freedom is not Free.

Here’s To all our soldiers who may have caught a bullet, trying to save a friend.
To those whose names are on a wall…….We have not forgotten thee.

To those in faraway lands who lie awake fighting loneliness, after signing up for yet another “tour”.

For the ones fighting the silent battles, with no limelight shinging upon their heroism.

To to the ones who march, fly, or sail.
Thank you for protecting our Freedom’s paradise.

Having been given the blessing of working with our Troops and families, I have set my eyes on just how they represent the backbone and fighting spirit of our blessed Nation.
I salute them with all the force and loyalty my heart can marshal.

Hooah! to all five military branches: The Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard on this Armed Forces Day.

Agreed 150%… so well deserved. And the thanks is extended to every one of them. Whether they were hit, injured or came home unscarred… everyone of them have made the conscious choice to stand in harms way for every one of us. How humbled and eternally grateful we all should be.

    Great job, Angel.

Angel, this is truly a remarkable story — thank you so much for posting it. How amazing that I’ve not seen this in the MSM. It must have been an oversight.

    Semper Fi,

Glad to see someone is doing something for injured vets. The government sure isn’t.

  13. JMK says:

Now THAT’S proof that America supports its troops….and not in the twisted, goofey way Leftists calls “seeking the end of any need for the U.S. Military” as “supporting our troops.”

The Left can’t help themselves! They may try and occasionally dress up their revulsion for the U.S. Military but it’s always there, seething right below the surface.

  14. Conservative Hawk (Brent) says:

WOW. Angel, this was amazing. You do the Lord’s work. I don’t find myself crying very easily, but I had to fight it back hard on this one. You are remarkable. God bless you and please keep up this type of support story. God bless you and God bless our brothers and sisters defending our country.
