My Memorial Day message?
Solemnity with Festivity my sweet friends.
Pursuit of ‘right’ cannot be wrong
The Good Lord will help us stay steady and strong
Support our troops as if they were all your son
For the work they do is never done
They daily put it on the line
Patriots when summoned…To me, - they shine
So raise your flag, toast with a cheer
And thank all our precious soldiers, far and near.

To the lost……….Thank you can never be enough.

P.S… George , I love you , have not forgotten, and neither have the patriots of this Beloved Nation.
Rest in peace sweet soldier.

God Bless The U.S.A. Words by Lee Greenwood
If tomorrow all the things were gone I’d worked for all my life,
And I had to start again with just my children and my wife.
I’d thank my lucky stars to be living here today,
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can’t take that away.
And I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free.
And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A.
From the lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee,
across the plains of Texas, from sea to shining sea,
From Detroit down to Houston and New York to LA,
Well, there’s pride in every American heart,
and it’s time to stand and say:
I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free.
And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A
Thank you Angel so much for reminding us all…..

Marinade:
2 cups soy sauce
1 cup lemon juice or 1 cup vinegar (try both, they’re different and both rock)
dash Worcestershire sauce
dash oyster sauce if you’ve got it
1 cup olive oil
1 medium onion, diced
add salt, pepper, garlic according to how much you like each of them
Marinate them in a ziploc bag for 1-8 hrs. Take them out, pat them dry and throw on the grill.
boil the marinade that’s left over and add 1/2 cup of brown sugar. It is now an exceptional bbq
May 25th, 2008 at 12:32 am
oops!
It is now an exceptional bbq sauce for other things on your grill, like veggies and sausage. Don’t use it on the steaks you are cooking though. It will overpower the awesome flavor of a grilled steak.
Have a great memorial day!

This Memorial Day, Take Time to Honor Them…

You always say it so perfectly.

I, for one, am thankful for all American troops, both past and present who have served this country. On March 31st, my father-in-law passed away. He was a Marine in the Pacific Theater during World War II and stationed in Guam. He didn’t like to talk about the experiences he had there. At his funeral a Marine honor guard presented my Mother-in-law with the flag that draped his coffin. It was an extremely moving ceremony. So this Memorial Day is a little more poignant for my wife and myself.
I hope you have a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day. I invite you and your readers to my blog to see my Memorial Day tribute.

Freedom is not Free…
How does one say, ‘Thank you’ when there are no words that convey the depths of gratitude they feel? Is it enough to live up to the responsibility that comes with freedom? Is it enough to ‘Remember’? Is it enough to say, ‘Thank you’? I truly don…
