FatherS DaY

Here in these wonderful United States of America, we are one of the few countries in the entire world that has an official day on which fathers are honored by their children.

To all the dads, hope you are given presents, treated to dinner or just made to feel real special. cheerleader111.gif

One father is more than a hundred schoolmasters.
(17th century English proverb)

If the new American father feels bewildered and even defeated, let him take comfort from the fact that whatever he does in any fathering situation has a fifty percent chance of being right.
Bill Cosby

It is much easier to become a father than to be one.

Some Things You’ll Never Hear a “Dad” Say: Ha animalmouse.gif

Well, lookie here… I’m lost! Looks like we’ll have to stop and ask for directions.

You know princess, now that you’re thirteen, you’ll be ready for unchaperoned car dates. Won’t that be fun?

Here’s a credit card and the keys to my new car — GO CRAZY. bear.gif

No son of mine is going to live under this roof without an earring — now quit your belly-aching, and let’s go to the mall.

What do you mean you wanna play football? Figure skating not good enough for you, son?

Well, I don’t know what’s wrong with your car. Probably one of those doo-hickey thingies — you know — that makes it run or something. Just have it towed to a mechanic and pay whatever he asks.

Whaddya wanna go and get a job for? I make plenty of money for you to spend. boy77.gif

HAPPY FATHERS DAY sweet friends.

I hope you, hubby and kids have a wonderfully blessed day.

I cannot help to think of Tim Russert’s son Luke and his elderly father in Buffalo today. It does not seem fair when others are suffering on what is supposed to be a joyous celebration. I do hope they find solace and comfort in his memory.

It is horrible to out live your own child, I know.

Not sure what to say about Father’s Day. My mother and father are both dead and I miss them very much. They raised me right and I continued in the path they set for me. I’m very thankful. Not everyone can say that though.

I hope you had a great day Angel.

To all of those out there who have children who did not turn out they way you taught them; who too a destructive path and turned away from you as Fathers and Mothers … keep the faith.
