This Angel’s Grief

How do we deal sweet friends with the disappearance of something cherished, with the death of someone so so loved and revered.

Feeling disoriented, disturbed, angry, relieved, distressed and oh so sad all at the same time.

Grief is a tidal wave that over takes you,
smashes down upon you with unimaginable force,
sweeps you up into its darkness,
where you tumble and crash against unidentifiable surfaces,
only to be thrown out on an unknown beach, bruised, reshaped…

Grief will make a new person out of you,
if it doesn’t kill you in the making.

(Stephanie Ericsson)

I was gently reminded ..that the back side of agony.

How many times must we “learn to live again”?

Will be away for a few days my beloved friends.
God Speed.

I am so sorry for your greif. I never understood it until I lost my grandma who I was very close too. I didn’t expect it to be painful. But it was. Now I have loads of lovely memories.

I hope you are doing okay. It usually helps me if I have a kid near by to hug. If you don’t have some, you can barrow mine. They are very hugable.

  7. KarLMm says:

    Please remember Angel,
we are all here for you in your time of need, anything/everything…
whatever it is we are here…

    When youre down and troubled
And you need a helping hand
And nothing, whoa nothing is going right.
Close your eyes and think of me
And soon I will be there
To brighten up even your darkest nights.

You just call out my name,
And you know whereever I am
Ill come running, oh yeah baby
    To see you again.
    Winter, spring, summer, or fall,
All you have to do is call
And Ill be there, yeah, yeah, yeah.
    Youve got a friend.

    If the sky above you
Should turn dark and full of clouds
And that old north wind should begin to blow
Keep your head together and call my name out loud
And soon I will be knocking upon your door.
You just call out my name and you know where ever I am
Ill come running to see you again.
    Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you got to do is call
And Ill be there, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Hey, aint it good to know that youve got a friend?
    People can be so cold.
Theyll hurt you and desert you.
Well theyll take your soul if you let them.
Oh yeah, but dont you let them.

You just call out my name and you know wherever I am
Ill come running to see you again.
Oh babe, dont you know that,
    Winter spring summer or fall,
Hey now, all youve got to do is call.
Lord, Ill be there, yes I will.
    Youve got a friend.
    Youve got a friend.
Aint it good to know youve got a friend.
Aint it good to know youve got a friend.
    Youve got a friend.

Sometimes silence is best. But know you are loved and thought of by us all and know that I do know loss and because of that I can honestly tell you that you have love in your life. It is there Angel in your heart – around you – just tap into it and it will be there. G-d bless you and I am sorry for your loss.

  20. Defiant_Infidel says:

He is free again, Angel. He has stepped into his destiny and ascended. Temper your pain with the pure knowledge that he holds God’s hand, as we each will someday. There is no dying, sweet lady. There is only eternity and it awaits us all. You have the memories today, as you did yesterday, and will also tomorrow. They are cherished and golden, there to be unfolded… relived. They are yours… forever.

May time dry your tears with the faith that beats strongly in your heart. God bless you, Sweet Angel.

How many times must we learn to live again? Lord knows, somehow I had to learn once again in early 2005 and a new person was eventually born. But these comments are not about me, so you are in our prayers. Time will assist Angel but time, takes time. Be strong, in as much as you can be my friend …

  32. MariesTwoCents says:

My prayers are with you Angel.

Having just lost my Mother I can understand exactly what you are going through.

It’s the most awful emotion on earth ‘Greif’

Some say time heals all wounds but I’m not quite sure that’s true.

Time makes the loss a little more bareable every day that passes, and that sense of loss get’s a bit easier, but you never get over it. I think you just get used to it.

But life does go on and you have to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and try your hardest to get through it. Especially when others are depending on you.

Again sweetie, my prayers are with you.

  33. darcee says:

Thanks for the sweet e-mail in your time of grief. How selfless of you to think of others when it should be who is showered with attention, care and love.

Do not make the mistake I did – I tried to take care of everyone else and make them feel better, I paid dearly for that later.

Take care of yourself and take all the time you need for yourself. We will all be here waiting.

    We all love you.

  38. Layla says:

sorry hun, who is should be YOU. my bad.

  39. Debbie says:

Thanks for your email also, Angel. Thinking of others in your own time of need, … the sign of a true Angel.

Resolve: To be of the belief that things will get better. That no matter how low, how tough, or how unfair life has been, all of us have the right and indisputable opportunity for greatness. The resolve that IF we could endure theh worse of times, then our mind-set SHOULD be that we COULD and SHOULD damn well accomplish anything. That no matter how wretched or hurtful an experience may be, we have to summon the strength to confront it, take charge, and let it go in order to move forward and live a full, rich life.

  45. In_spired says:

God has ‘something up His majestic sleeve’! Suddenly, (it seems) in the small realm of my world, there are heavy burdens; people calling out for intercession to the Holy God for healing….health, financial, accident, marital.
Prayer lists are multiplying each day that passes. My heart cries out, “GOD! How can one person pray for so many people?” His word tells me to arise early in the morning before a hectic day begins and start lifting names to Him. He is faithful to hear my unspoken plea.

Through what seems to be unsurmountable burdens to us humans, I believe He is beginning to gather His people together, uniting us, strengthening us, and empowering us to face some real hardships in the next few years. Angel, this is what you’ve been writing about! I don’t know whether you’ve thought about it or not but you’ve been His messenger.

Angel, you have become a part of “my small world” and right now as I write this comment, I am lifting your name (the only one I know) to God. He knows, He listens, He cares and He loves you! I ask Him to bless you today. Tomorrow I’ll ask Him again. Be strong…
