Olmert JoinS the Trash heap of HistorY

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert announced that he will resign in September.

Another despicable demagogue bites da dust.
OK…not bitin dust just yet, but hearin that ole screen door slam behind him alright.

King Ehud is makin his departure.
Too bad he isn’t takin Livni with him.

His party: Kadima:

You know, the one that Ariel Sharon created so he could to justify the expulsion and dispossession of thousands of their fellow neighbors from Gush Katif. Who expels their own people in order to invite terrorists to take their place?

The party of losing wars and hopeless ineptitude.

Anything just to make a positive impression on the anti-Semitic and America hating Nations of the world who despise America and Israel even more than our own Leftists, if that’s possible.

Kinna sounds like the Democratic Party in the ole U.S. of A. don’t it?

Lesse. What exactly was Ole Omelet responsible for?

Outside of the blatantly poor performance of the IDF, due to his insistence that they fight with silk gloves in the war against the Muzlim jeehadist Hizbullys, Ohllllllllmert sweetened his rep with a personal financial scandal.

Hezbully Muzlim chicks:

Allowing scores of rockets to kill and maim our beautiful children in Sderot: Daily.

His sheer incompetence during the 2006 war against those monsters, Hezbollah, caused long-lasting damage to Israel’s deterrence ability.

The straw that obvioulsy didn’t break all of Ham-ASS’s camels’ backs — was his approval of the horrific, unforgivable POW “exchange deal” with Hizbullah.

Soldiers Regev and Goldwasser were exchanged for scores of terrorists and a cold blooded baby killer and returned to Israel in coffins after 2 years that tormented the Israeli public.

Shame he can’t be tried along with the Knesset for their abysmal and shameful behavior during the last few years.

What charges you ask?

Oh. the same ones we should issue to Pelosi and her cronies:
Sedition, treason, aiding and abetting an enemy…….Should I go on?

In addition, the tragic victims of the Amona beatings and all the bombing victims of Sderot and Jerusalem should bloody sue him for damages due to criminal negligence.

Ehud Olmert was unequivocally the worst Prime Minister in Israel’s 60 year history.

Oh, he will be remembered alright.
As the the man who single-handedly annihilated Israel’s self-respect and morale ……………and broke her National Heart.

Don’t let the steel door hitcha on the way out dude.

Only one word is needed to describe this event: YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

  2. Jason says:

The real question here is who will be next and will they be any stronger? I sure hope they will but change always can go good OR bad by nature.

  3. Katie says:

I won’t believe it until i see it. Olmert has said this before and then decided against it.

  4. Debbie says:

I know you are celebreating this news Angel.

  5. MK says:

Wooohooo Angel, this is indeed good news. I never thought i’d hear it Angel, ole omelet is gone, thank heavens that parasite is gone. But who will replace him, hopefully not another waste of space.

    Say it ain’t so Katie.

  6. Dapoppins says:

You mean his appeasement policies didn’t work???

What this man put his nation through…I am sure I never heard the half of it on the news…I am glad he is outta there…!

  7. Wingless says:

It’s TOO LITTLE TOO LATE!!! And Katie is right, I wouldn’t believe Olmert if he gave me the time off his wrist-watch, sh!t – I wouldn’t believe his name was Ehud Olmert if he introduced himself. The man is easily the worst Prime Minister in the history of Israel. Sure Bibi made severe cuts (I believe most were required) and many people dislike him for this – but he never played with the security of the nation, never made anyone doubt that existential threats would not be tolerated.

That said – I believe PUTTING ALL THE BLAME ON OLMERT IS A HUGE MASSIVE GARGANTUAN MISTAKE! We should stop focusing on Olmert even though he is a failure of failures. My biggest concern is the rest of the government.

As those of us who follow Israeli politics know (and lament) it is a nation that never has 1 party attaining a majority (too many parties, thus several often form loose coalitions so that the government can function). This means & leads to all sorts of things that I won’t get into in this post BUT IT DOES GENERALLY MEAN THAT BRINGING DOWN AN INEPT, CORRUPT, INCOMPETENT Head of State is much easier than in majority ruled government.

I have to wonder – where was Barak & Labour? Where were the religious parties (not that I’m a big fan of theirs!) when Olmert continued his “peace talks” as Fatah was attempting suicide bombings and Hamas was launching rockets? And what of all the smaller parties? CAN IT REALLY BE THAT THE SCURGE OF INDIFFERENT CONTENTMENT HAS AFFLICTED ISRAELI POLITICS? Why wasn’t the government brought down right after the Lebanon war?! OR Why wasn’t the government brought down following the ‘disengagement’ from Gaza – when the FIRST rocket hit Sderot and the IDF was not allowed to act (Remember, that was Sharon’s plan! leave so they cannot cry occupation and when they attack, hit them with everything!)?

Don’t misunderstand me – I’m fully aware of the national depression & lack of motivation that has followed the failure of a genuine want for peace; I’m fully aware that this could very well be a young nations growing pains (after 60 years, that motivation & unity of purpose starts to fizzle) BUT ISRAEL ISN’T EXACTLY SITUATED in Europe or North America – these ‘normal lulls’ can lead to extermination.

Can it really be that so many people in government (including several war heroes) are putting their careers before their country?

Olmert leaving is a positive but I’m not celebrating yet.

  8. Z says:

May this really happen…what a total FAILURE he’s been.

I just PRAY that someone REALLY strong gets in there…could Netanyahu take over? Any talk about that? How would you feel about that, Angel?

  9. tapline says:

    Angel, He hasn’t left yet…..we will see what transpires……excellent post …..stay well…..

  10. benning says:

The Israelis continue to elect these Socialist Parties to office and keep undermining their own national security. Don’t expect any change in the near future. Israeli Leftists are as dimwitted as American Lefties.

  11. Perri Nelson says:

Kinna sounds like the Democratic Party in the ole U.S. of A. don’t it?

Yes, yes it does. Now I guess we’ll just have to wait and see if Olmert follows through on his words or if he’s full of wind again.

  12. JMK says:

Sadly, some of Israel’s incompetence is due to U.S. policy concerning that nation. We hold Israel to a “higher standard,” and that’s just WRONG!

When you’re punched in the face, restraint is never an option, you punch back, preferably with brass knuckles.

The West insists on treating the jihadists as “cave dwelling, poverty-stricken” people to be pitied, rather than the well-funded and well-organized terrorist monsters they really are.

  13. Brooke says:

Why wait until September? Why not just get the hell out right now, dhimmi Olmert? That’s one more month he has to screw Israel that he shouldn’t!

  14. Defiant_Infidel says:

It is far overdue… and therein lies the greatest concern. A recent poll in Israel (I won’t link it here because I know how you feel about links in comments, Angel… I respect that) showed only 6% had confidence in Olmert’s credibility and commitment to Israel’s security. That should be read that an astounding 94% do NOT! NINETY FOUR PERCENT!!!

How does a PM survive this long, allowing the repeated acts of murder and aggression while responding with only apologies and capitulation? Israel is a well armed society with its’ people being exposed to slaughter daily… how do the citizens ever get to sleep at night and allow this travesty to continue this long? Wingless’ point above regarding the far too numerous political parties is one reason…

Americans should heed the example, yet we clearly do not. We are too busy swooning and gushing over the ubiquitous Masquerading Messiah, drunk with his charade and party tricks. We are headed down the same road of surrender via the appeasing Pelosis, Reids and their cronies. Ours is a mess less advanced (maybe) but directly comparable in danger and inevitale outcome.

None of us should be sleeping much right now, either. The fact that so many are is disturbing beyond words.

Exceptional post, Angel. Pray to God that Israel truly will depress the Olmert flush handle… and replace him with someone of true spine, like perhaps Netanyahu??

  15. Layla says:

Now this is the kind of news I love to read! Lets celebrate!

  16. Straight Shooter says:

I am getting an education over here.
I do not think enough people know these facts. (Read: Mommas in the middle of life. Consumed with childcare, dinner, laundry, etc.)
I am telling my girlfriends about you Angel.
    Thank you.

  17. John says:

Hey angel, did you get my email?

  18. Gayle says:

YAY! Go Omert, go! Go far, far away where we won’t ever have to hear about you again, and the sooner the better!

I didn’t hear about this until I came here, Angel my friend, because I’ve had isp problems for most of the day, and I’ve also been picking what seems like tons of peaches. I haven’t listened to any news, so thanks for making my day with this wonderful news. I hope Omert remembers to take his white flag with him, wherever he’s going. :)

  19. Uncle Joe says:

His apologists are making too big a deal over the fact that he is leaving early “with honor”. Seems that he can see the writing on the wall and just wants to pretend that he resigned rather than being run off.

  20. Angel says:

  21. sayitlikeitis says:

WINGLESS you have said it beautifully.
If an Israeli leader does NOT believe in the right of the Jews to the holyland, and to live securely within its extended borders, then he and his croonies are worthless. They are sending our young and beautiful soldiers out to fight the enemy, while negociating a ‘peace treaty’ behind their backs, is pure lunacy.
A pure embarrasment to the Jews of the world is the leadership and government of Israel, may GOD protect us and send us strong, firm, believers to run the country. AMEN!!!!

  22. KarlM says:

    Hey wait a minute….
what do i do with this brown paper bag filled with cash, marked…”give only to Israeli Prime Minister”….who gets it??????

“Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely”

“Unlimited power is apt to corrupt the minds of those who possess it”

  23. Jack says:

Sharon’s illness came at the worst possible time. His incapacitation changed the landscape. I do not believe that we’d be in the same situation had he been healthy.

Unfortunately we’ll never know so now we have to deal with Olmert’s mess.

  24. Incognito says:

Indeed, let’s pray they elect someone who will bring back the old glory days where Israel ruled!
