“BuggY” for Socialized Medicine: NoT

The cleanliness of most NHS hospitals in England is threatened by frequent invasions of rats, fleas, bedbugs, flies and cockroaches, a report claims.

‘Hospitals ‘infested with vermin’

One had wasps in a neo-natal unit, and flying ants on the main wards, while another reported rats in their maternity unit, and wasps in operating theatres.

A children’s A&E was infested with flies, and main wards were also home to mice, silverfish, biting insects and beetles.
Other common problems included bedbugs, fleas and cockroaches.
“If these hospitals were restaurants they would be closed down and out of business.”

Ah yes Demopaths…We want socialized medicine too.
Indeed. A mouse in every bed.

After all..it sure is simple to blindly agree with a meaningless campaign promise such as “Affordable Health Care for All”, isn’t it? What’s a few bugs to work out eh?

G’head, Let the Government continue to exceed its charter of protecting it’s citizens by abusing their taxing power to “rob from Peter to help poor little lazy Paul”.

How can the Democrap leftys possibly morally justify using the police power of the State to redistribute the wealth of individuals. Oh wait…morality…never mind.

Hard working Americans are flat out crazed from watching government forcibly take from one who has earned it and handing it to another who hasn’t.

The drawbacks are stupendous:

Aside from the rodents………

People who receive “free”, otherwise known as “taxpayer-funded” health care have zero incentive to conserve their health care dollars.
So why not go to the ER or doctor’s office several times a month?

After all, all ya gotta do is request “free” prescriptions for over-the-counter medications..and bingo..cha ching. Paid for…by you and me.

Doctors lose incentive. Isn’t that natural?
With no motivation to provide quality care, both doctors and nurses oftentimes leave government-monopolized countries for better opportunities elsewhere, and rightfully so. Shortages ensue.

The quality of “free” health care stinks. And we all know it.

It ultimately destroys our Freedom.

While the kool aid drinkers don’t seem to mind blindly supporting a system that bequeaths more and more power on politicians and bureaucrats, they deny that their orders are now from those with the most money.

Guess who that will be friends?

Not you.
Not I.

The good ole Government.

The NHS:

Three national services (for England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) were established by separate pieces of legislation and began operating on 5 July 1948.

Decades of shortages, misery and suffering was what ensued until 1989.
It was then that some market-based health care competition was thankfully reintroduced into Britian.

So…Keep your socialized medicine…along with your mice, silverfish, biting insects and beetles. mmmkay? bugs.jpg

Countries who have some sort of Socialized Medicine:

By the way, the bedbugs, fleas and cockroaches are free too.bug-eat.gif

This is a great topic to pound into the minds of the peeps. What drives me nuts (other than everything you mentioned) is that the dems, Obama in particular, act like if you were to go to the emergency room with an ax in your head the doctors would ask you if you had insurance and this would determine whether or not you would be treated…yep. People dying right and left because of no insurance. keep pounding! ;) N

As long as the government continues to rob Peter to pay Paul, they’re not going to get much objection from Paul. Sadly, there are nearly more of Paul’s ilk than there is of Peter’s.

The bottom 50% of wage earners in this country only pay 3% or less of the taxes. Redistributionist policies will eventually tip that past that point so that more than 50% of wage earners aren’t paying any income taxes. Once the electorate reaches that point, no argument about the intrinsic wrongness of a progressive tax will get past the voters.

It’s getting harder all the time. As for the list of countries that have some sort of socialized medicine, you left out one… the United States. We already have a limited form of socialized medicine thanks to Medicare. That program’s already bleeding red ink too. And of course the Democrat’s answer to that is… MORE socialized medicine.

This morning i heard on the radio that ER waiting times in America are getting past 50 minutes. Thanks to Clinton i believe, you can’t turn someone away when they turn up at an ER. When we heard this, some people here in Australia were like, wow, let’s go to America. Here it can stretch into the hours, sometimes patients remain in ambulances until a bed becomes available. When you go to an ER here they’re trying to get you out as quick as possible, unless you’re about to die or something.

“As long as the government continues to rob Peter to pay Paul, they’re not going to get much objection from Paul. Sadly, there are nearly more of Paul’s ilk than there is of Peter’s.”

Much of the world is like that, it’s why socialism will always be with us, like the flu virus, you can’t rid yourself of it completely.

  4. Aurora says:

Nothing runs well under socialism. We humans just aren’t cut out to thrive in a nanny state. We’re made to want to build something we can be proud of. If you fill a nameless state institution with a bunch of nameless state-paid workers, they’re going to abuse large amounts of taxpayer dollar to do nothing much of anything.

  5. DD2 says:

It is always easier to get votes when you tell people that they are going to get something for nothing.
Healthcare is one such issue, but people don’t bother to learn whats involved with it.
But we all know that Nationalizing healthcare would give us the worst kind of Health care we could get.
No I don’t think I want to wait a year to see my Doctor about the flu I have today!
Ask any Canadian citizen how long do they have to stay in line to see a doctor or to have surgery.

Good going, Angel! This push for socialized medicine is insane! Thanks for a good rant exposing it. Sheesh! I wish the liberals could find someplace where they could all congregate and run their own country instead of trying to destroy ours.

  7. Debbie says:

I heard about this yesterday and it is terrible. But folks who are pushing for ‘free’ a/k/a socialized, government-run health care, better listen up. Anything run by the government is going to go downhill and fast. And by the way, it’s NOT free, somebody has to pay.

As you know, hubby is an ER doctor, so we see this from the inside. Things that have been run by the government has been nothing but trouble, time-consuming, cutting down on the actual time that doctors can spend with patients, telling doctors what procedures they can do, what procedures they will pay for. It’s already happening with Medicare, Tenn-Care and, Medicaid, even private insurances. But no matter HOW bad a private insurance company may be, it is HEAVEN to what government-run health care would be.

Our CFO is from Canada, his father was diagnosed years ago with prostrate cancer, the Dr’s opened him up and found cancer near his spine and other organs, they operated and accidentally nipped his spinal cord, he was paralyzed, they said he had 1-2 months to live. he lay in the hospital bed for nearly 3 yrs, doped up and with little care, he died a miserable death, his hospital billed totaled about $100 (one hundred).

Is this where we want to go?

  9. Brooke says:

It just goes to show that no matter WHAT the gov’t sticks it fingers into, it ruins it!

    How disgusting!

  10. Layla says:

Good post Angel. I too am not for socialized medicine. Too much is lost in between the patient and doctor and all suffer.

However, I do not object to people that need healthcare, who have worked, paid taxes, but fallen on hard times due to insincere employers with layoffs, or due to an unexpected illness and or accident that happens to them and or a family member and they lose their healthcare to receive state/government insurance/healthcare. They too paid taxes so they in essence paid for others while they worked, so if they fall into need, they deserve their due. It could happen to you, me or anyone here – G-d forbid so I am remiss to be very judgemental about people whose personal circumstances I am not aware of and I do not believe in lumping all people on state healthcare into one box by saying they are mooching off my money. Some people really do need and deserve a hand up.

I realize no system is perfect and many people abuse the system, but without it the people that really do deserve to receive it would not get it.

I know what I am saying is not popular. But think about it. What would you do if you lost your job, maybe your home and vehicle in the process, no family and friends to take you in or help you with even food or a meal a day. What would you do? All you saved you were forced to live off of because you could not find another job or you were sick and injured.

You better believe you would apply for public housing, food stamps so you and your kids would eat, healthcare so you and the kids would not get sick – so you could survive until one, you find a job and climb out of the bad luck or get SSDI because you are disabled.

I really despise how many believe “all” on gov. assisted programs, healtcare et all are using your dollars. It is their own dollars they paid that they get back and if you do not get your dollars back and they help someone truly in need you should all thank G-d and say, “there by the grace of G-d go I.”

G-d forbid anyone of us were on the opposite end of prosperity – you could be though in a NY minute. I know because it happened to me and it is no fun, very hard, completely degrading – and in all truth – many think you receive so much – not, you really get literally nothing.

Both my husband and son are disabled – one gets SSI, the other SSDI – I work from home and we receive state funded healthcare. I guess I am a mooch!

But I do agree, no socialized healthcare. That really is bad news. Sorry for the rant, but I think we all need to be more compassionate towards our fellow man. If not, then we should not complain how crappy this world is because we would then be guilty of helping it be crappy.

  11. MariesTwoCents says:

I hope to God people figure out what they will be getting with Nationalized Heath Care if the Democrats are elected BEFORE the election!

  12. Always On Watch says:

Here in the States, my husband and I pay $1200/month for health insurance. And that’s with COBRA! Without COBRA, the cost would be $4000/month, which is more than our combined gross income.

I know other families in a similar position.

So what do we do? After COBRA, we’ll likely join the ranks of Americans without health insurance.

For years, Mr. AOW and I have paid into the system and thereby have subsidized those without health insurance — including illegal invaders, whoh walk away from medical bills and use the ER as their primary care.

I’m going to see if an attorney can shelter our assets so that Mr. AOW and I can walk away from any catastrophic medical bills. I have no other choice at this point!

There has to be an answer to this mess without converting to socialized medicine. But what is it, and where is the candidate with the solution?

  13. Panhandle Poet says:

Socialized medicine is a subject that really bugs me…..

  14. Katie says:

Cockroach infested hospitals? It must be the VA. If you want to see what socialized medicine in the US looks like, just look at the VA. That is what is in store for the rest of America.

  15. Jason says:

Health care from the same people that brought you the lines at the Department of Motor Vehicles??? NO THANKS!!!

  16. KarLM says:

    Why not combine the services…
butchers can do both, meat preparation and operations…
car mechanics can take care of tune ups for the car etc. and dental work….
Lawn maintenence people can landscape and handle hair and head related issues…
i really think this may be the answer….
but then again what was the question????????

  17. OMMAG says:

    heheheh …. “Demopaths” !! GOOD ONE …..

BTW – The BIG problem with government managed medicine is that you continue to get LESS of everything until eventually all you get is NOTHING!

And the price ALWAYS goes UP! even after the services are GONE.

    It is No Joke !

  18. Old Soldier says:

    Absolutely great post, Angel!

Isn’t it the Democraps who claim, “Nothing is too good for the people, and that is exactly what they will get?” Take a real close look at the current K-1 thru K-12 education system (thanks to the federal Dept of Edu) and then seriously ask, do I want the federal gov’t managing my health care?

Remember the “This is your brain… this is your brain on drugs,” commercial? Well, scramble the egg and you have, “This is your govt run healthcare system… any questions?”

  19. shimshon says:

In the countries with some Socialized Medicine you forgot to mention Israel!

  20. fidothedog says:

A few points about the socialized medical service here in the UK.

Should you require a top up service not available on the NHS, they may decide to remove your basic NHS treatment as that is against the rules.
    - We have had cases of cancer patients here in the UK dying thanks to New Labours policy on top up treatments.
Some drugs which have been approved by our state service are not available in some areas due to cost, but available in others.
Top heavy management means much of the money never helps a patient, instead it go’s on running costs.
Don’t let it happen in the US.

  21. Uncle Joe says:

Britain has had to hire terrorists for doctors as pay is so low they have to import them. Remember the botched hospital attacks last year? That’s just one thing Obama/Hillary style health care has done for them.

  22. Maggie Thornton says:

The horror stories from our Canadian friends should be sufficient to get America’s attention, but as DD2 said, offering something free in exchange for a vote is oh so attractive for those who would delegate all their responsibilities if given a chance.

  23. Am Listening says:

I am listening.. But I know health care is way too high, and have grandchildren with none at all, as one of my sons works at building homes and they cannot even afford what is offered so they go without!

It seems like there should be a way to provide help to people without bankrupting them or sending them to cockroach city!?

Looks like Socialized medicine is coming quickly now!
One World Order and Government is a step away.

Sad but true.. I think we are ‘waking up” to slowly!
