U.S. Open Tennis & the Bryan Brothers..woohoo!
Number one men’s doubles team Mike and Bob Bryan also observe similar rituals:
Bob wears his “lucky bead necklace” before a match and “if we’re winning we eat at the same restaurant all week,” says Mike.
To keep their streak going during the 2006 French Open, the twins dined at a Chinese joint 21 nights in a row.
Bryan Brothers!
U.S. tennis players and twin brothers Bob, left, and Mike Bryan…Hooah!
Coolest doubles team ever.
Saw the boys yesterday at the U.S. Open with the fam.
Glorious day…woot!
How would you feel hangin out with these dudes and dudettes all day eh?
You didn’t just say: “What’s the U.S. Open” did ya?
Ah. The U.S. Open: It’s the fourth and final event of the Grand Slam tennis tournaments.
It’s held annually in August and September over a two-week period…in stunning NY.
The main tournament consists of five championships:
- men’s and women’s singles
-men’s and women’s doubles
-mixed doubles
-additional tournaments for senior, junior, and even wheelchair players.
Soaked them all in.
Talk about relaxation. Ahhhhhhhhhh.
Only saw one hippie wanna be, 20 something year old donning a keffiah. Go figure.
Lindsay Davenport still kickin.
And now……………..Some words to live by ..courtesy the Pros: heh..
-Simple version for me is, umm, started bad and finished bad basically…
Roger Federer
-But that won’t give me a free hand to hold the beer.
(Billy Carter while being taught the two-handed backhand)
-It’s one-on-one out there, man. There ain’t no hiding. I can’t pass the ball.
Pete Sampras
-Though your game is hardly the best, you can fray your opponent’s nerves by methodically bouncing the ball at least ten times before your serves. heh.
Arnold J. Zarett
New York’s finest protectin us…(from the u know whos…shhhhhhhh…heh)
Perfect day my sweet friends.
Join us next year eh?

I am so jealous! I am a tennis freak…huge Roger Federer fan. He played a great match today. Glad to see him so emotional again…I think it’s a good sign. There were some other great matches today, too.

Good on ya Angel, enjoy it for all of us eh.
“Though your game is hardly the best, you can fray your opponent’s nerves by methodically bouncing the ball at least ten times before your serves.”
Yeah that even annoys those watching. One day the opponent is going to say something like, “Er, sometime today would be real swell.” or “Are you sure you’re ready, maybe we should wait till the tide goes out, get the moon aligned and all that!”
even better,
If the guy takes too long to serve and then screws it up, “Gee, with all that preparation and complex calculations, you’d think he’d get the serve right. Maybe we should all just break for lunch while you get it together eh.”
