The Vice Presidential Debate & Sarah Palin’s Smile

What are debates after all?

Tis all about the “verbal discourse”, isn’t it?

Highlights anyone?

-Gov. Sarah Palin, called Hussein Obama’s plan to withdraw American forces from Iraq a “white flag of surrender.” Booyah!

She generously called Obama “naive” for saying he was willing to “engage” the leaders of Iran, North Korea and Cuba.

I would have chosen some other “choice” words myself.

She cut to the chase on Hussein Obama’s crushing tax plan, his mammoth spending proposals and his outrageous foreign affairs positions.

Before you wipe Israel off the map and nuke America………..Care for some more tea Eichmadinejad?

What we love about her:
She’s a straight shooter..and a straight talker.
None of that obtuse beltway jargon. Blech.

Biden. hmmm.

So far, he has managed to insult Ohio voters with disapproving comments about building new coal plants.

-He thinks its cool to mention how “attractive” Sarah Palin is. Real manly of ya dude.

-He made that brilliant observation about “President Franklin Roosevelt addressing the nation on television” during the 1929 stock market crash.
President Roosevelt, of course, was not even President then, and um….television didn’t even exist.

Another head scratching moment, brought to you by Joe Biden. Ha.

Let’s be honest friends.
Joe, just like his terrorist loving pal Hussein Obama, has been on the wrong side of most issues since the beginning of what seems like his never ending career.
Dull and defensive.
When in doubt: Attack President Bush.

Sarah Palin?

For starters, she hasn’t played the corruption and circus game of Capitol Hill.
An “unapologetic love of country”.
Smarts, wit, confidence, poise.
Humor, charm and that million dollar smile..Uh huh.

You want change?
Don’t fret about the pollsters and pundits who will do nothing but spin this evening’s outcome.
Sarah Palin. You just keep blazin that trail.
And what ever you do……….Don’t ever lose that smile.

Views on the debates my sweet friends?
Please………pull up a stool…and ………..Share away.

Too much going on to see it all ….we had a scrap pile here instead of an actual debate.. Four commie tools to spend an hour plus tossing turds at our PM !

Needed a scotch to get through it …. should have watched Sarah spar with the blowhard.

She also address Biden, as Obiden if you didn’t catch that. I was LMAO when heard it. Ya, she did great tonight and I’ll take that win.

  7. joe says:

Our gal Sarah did a fantastic job! She wasn’t about to win any liberals over tonight any more than Biden won over any conservatives, BUT, she definitely did win when it comes to the undecideds, and there are a LOT of them. I predict the next few days will see the polls back to even and maybe, hopefully, go the other way. Now if McCain can pick up the speed in his last two debates, we have a great chance in November.

Hey Joe—-Ya know—-there ya go lookin back again. For a party always talkin bout change, ya sure do spend a lotta time lookin back.(or words to that effect)

I heard in local media that Biden won it according to the polls. Not sure how accurate that is, but to me it doesn’t really matter.

I think most people should have made up their minds by now, heaven help us if they still can’t decide.

Even if Palin lost, it’s no biggie to me, i have faith in her, she doesn’t have to be perfect and she doesn’t have the experience that other Conservatives have. Especially with regards to the media.

My feeling is that Palin is definitely going places as she has all the right ingredients, falling on her backside a few times now will only strengthen and toughen her and in the future the world, not just America will need people like Palin to lead us and they will need to be tough and strong.

  13. Defiant_Infidel says:

    REPLY:
Wasn’t it just ridiculous? It was a bloody hate fest against Stephen Harper. The moderator was interestingly absent and allowed it to go on, he also allowed them to basically speak at will but whenever Harper would try to respond he’d quip “wait your turn”… HORRIBLE!

After about 10 minutes of that I had to switch to the American debate. It was oh so civil, alittle too civil…

Palin did alot to redeem herself of that awful Couric interview… Sorry friends, but that really turned me off of her… Couric was asking tough questions (when has anyone pressed Obama for specifics of Bidens hundred year career?!) but Palin could have done better. Probably the fault of the campaign runners more than her as they made her off limits to questions for 2-3 weeks then sat her down in front of a shark… Still, she did alot to redeem herself in this interview…

BTW: Did anyone notice that Biden looked 10-20 years older than usual?! It looked like the makeup folks were highlighting the bags under his eyes…Maybe to make him look “older and wiser” than he is…

Angel, as for Bidenisms, I have a few more:

Announcing he was going to be VP, Biden mused about Obama:
“I mean, you got the *FIRST* mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice looking guy”

Attemping to endear himself to an Indian-American supporter in Delaware:
“You cannot go to a 7-Elevent or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent”

    On the campaign trial:
“Hillary Clinton is as qualified or more qualified than I am to be Vice-President of the United States of America. QUite frankly, it might be a better pick than me”

MY FAVORITE – In Columbia, Biden urged and egged on a paraplegic state official to STAND and BE RECOGNIZED: “Chuck, STAND UP, let the people see you”, he encouraged Senator Chuck Graham, before remembering he was in a wheelchair.

I wouldn’t count any of these gaffes against the man – they sound like mistakes anyone would make if given enough talking time & lack of sleep…

  18. sage says:

Well I watched intently and I didn’t think she killed it! I abslutely love her guts and wish the ticket was Palin/McCain but I thought the debate was a draw. Biden did nothing either but keep from fouling up.

  19. Joe Gringo says:

Too bad the MSM won’t catch Biden’s huge gaffe………….”we kicked Hezbollah out of Lebanon”.

Sarah Palin did a great job last night….she even winked at me. ;-)

  20. cube says:

Watched it all.My biggest complaint was Palin not bringing up the real culprits behind the Freddie Fannie Mac Mae fiasco. Here I think it was the McCain campaign reigning her in because McCain didn’t bring it up during his debate either. I don’t know what he’s waiting for. This is war. It’s past time to fight.

  21. In_spired says:

My favorite…”Say it isn’t so, Joe!”

    See ya!!

  22. joe says:

Cube, they may have decided that the attention span of most Americans won’t tolerate the explanation of how and why the demoncraps deserve at least 75% of the blame for this whole mess. Sarah Palin did a great job last night. Biden didn’t do to bad either. I’d call it for Palin. She gets an A+ and he gets a B+. Minds that were already made up did not change because of that debate. Anyone who hoped for that is not being rational. Undecideds however, now thats a different story. I am confident that Palin won over a significant number of them. I also thhink that the polls will show it in the next few days.

Shocking Video Unearthed Democrats in their own words Covering up the Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac Scam that caused our Economic Crisis

I do not know if you have already seen these videos or not, so I am posting their links for you here. I would ask that you send the links (and titles if necessary) to everyone and have them watch them. I am leaving the titles because for some “unknown reason” these two video have been having problems on YouTube when people have gone to view them. That way if the links don’t quite work you and others can search by title.

Note the V2 on the first title, it’s because YouTube had pulled it originally due to “copyright issues”. I am not sure what the “issues” were, but I do know that the music has been changed from the original. The content is still the same (very, very good). Anyways conservative bloggers need to start digging up real (emphasis on real) facts on Obama and the Democrats. We need to post them everywhere because the MSM is in the tank for Obama and won’t do it. It’s time for the truth to come out and we need to be the one’s to bring it out becuse noone else will.

Of course, we do have many important challenges facing our Nation. Primary among these is trade. Ordinarily, whenever a country has excess resources, they export them to other countries. So my question is, “Why aren’t we exporting people like the previous commenter, who are so pathetically under-educated that they cannot possibly contribute to our growth?”

I know . . . I know. It was a rhetorical question. Not even an 8th World Cesspool would agree to take them.

Sarah Palin is allowing herself to be played as the Republican Barbie-doll.

What has she done or said that shows any real substance that would allow her to garner such unquestioning devotion from so many? Cute sneering smile? Winking her beautiful brown eyes? Looks great in a tight skirt? Please! Tell me you would all love with her this much if she were fat and ugly.

Then tell me how she will be able to handle the trouble we are in with the war in the middle east, the financial crisis and now Russia starting to act out? We don’t know because neither does she.

I expect more from the leader of our country. We all should. We have had great leaders in the past so why are we just settling now? That is un-American. We do not settle for second best.

Just got word that Gov. Palin
is rallying in next door Omaha,NE
this evening. Hope we can get in!

Yes, Buffalo’ed Cody, there is a celebrity vibe with Mrs. Palin, but most of he popularity is because of her principles.
She is right on energy and national security at a time when those are so important. And, when McCain’s ‘
reach across the aisle’ becomes nauseating, the Governor’s bold defense is a breath of fresh air.

  50. Buffalo'edCody says:

    Hey Terry_Jim…
I don’t get it. What are you saying?

    1. That it’s alright to “play” the part of a dumb broad to earn the right to run the greatest country in the world. (…that’s not only an insult to every American female, including your mothers, wives and daughters, but also an insult to every man who carries his brain in his head.)
    2. And that our country, which is a democracy, will fall apart if parties work together in a democratic fashion (I will defer to our Declaration of Independence written to do just as it’s titled, when our country was not allowed choices and was run by a monarchy).

I want answers to the health care spiraling out of control, to getting our jobs back in the USA and getting our country back on top with the technological advancements. I don’t see these as socialistic issues. They are simply a means of getting our country back on track.

Ah, hell, it’s only for four years. Four years to let the other side clean up the mess, and in 2012, we’ll be back stronger than before. Now, that’s smart strategy.
